Anurla looked furtively about him before flapping his way into the cave in the side of the rocky cliff. Nobody needed to know about his (and his sister's) secret comfyzone, not when they met up here every fortnight to catch up with each other and hoarded their little keepsakes there.

The cave had a narrow entrance, then opened up to a larger, circular room. A natural stone structure, generations of incubi/succubi Sabers had decorated the place in royal purple and crimson. Everything marked with a rose for girls, bats for boys. The family crest hung in a banner opposite the entrance.

There were two futons, one with rose cushions and the other with bat cushions. There had always been two futons; the cave had never needed more at any point of time.

Anurla added the newest trinket from his last lover - a delicate gold hairpin, freely given, as everything else had been - to his cupboard, noting with a frown that his sister's was still the fuller of the two. With a discontented pout he stretched out on the bat-cushioned futon and waited for his sister.

She was fashionably late, as usual.

Laruna walked into the cave with a flip of her hair and looked at her brother. She was holding a shiny silver cup covered in rose engravings. She smirked at her brother and tilted her new cup at him happily. "I have another darling brother. Took a while to find it but here it is! All mine!" she said holding it up and admiring it with a smile. She spun about and set it on a shelf in her over stuffed, but neat cabinet. "What do you think brother? Like it?" she asked. She turned about and saw his new clip. "Oh what a nice tiny trinket you have there. Very pretty." she said with a smirk. She had some flecks of blood left on her face and hands, and she still had a little twinkle in her eye that she got after a good fresh kill. "So how have you been Anurla? Keeping well it looks like?" She said as she sat on her bed and crossed one leg over the other, spreading her wings out to the side as she flipped her hair back, supporting herself on her hands with a large smile.

Arrogant b***h, Anurla thought with affection, grinning - leering? - at her as she settled down. While he envied how successful she was in her conquests, he couldn't help admiring her as well.

"Never as well as you do, of course." He replied. "The last girlie wouldn't swing with me for days. Family values and chastity and all that cal. You know the drill."

Anurla rolled his eyes at the memory. Arranged marriage? Parents' wishes? Childhood sweethearts? Pfffft. Thankfully his and Laruna's lot were waaaay more liberal.

"And, uh. You have a little something something on your face." He smirked. "Want me to lick it off for you?"

Laruna smirked and touched her face. "Oh thanks for the offer brother but i can still clean my self just fine." licks her hand and rubs the blood out of her fur. "I never have trouble with any of mine, i win them over very easily. I guess its just harder for you." she said with a smirk. She loved messing with her brothers head. She had always been a little better at most things then he was. It was probably easier for him to take down a deer then it was for her but he was a little bit more muscly then she was, came with the testosterone. "I have a little admirer now though, who follows me around and pesters the hell out of me. His name is Lock. Hes a pest but he can hold his own and we fight nicely. Keeps me on my feet and my brain active. I'll never let him know i accept him being around me, he would take too much pleasure in that and i would never allow that." She said with a flip of her hair as she lay on her side and rested one hand on her thigh.

Anurla scratched his nose thoughtfully, a faintly doofy expression on his face. He used to like having admirers. Then their numbers swelled and they were a little bit much to handle...

What he really wanted was true love, but he could never tell 'Rana that. She'd laugh at his face. Besides, an incubus wasn't supposed to have a steady relationship. The commitment, feeding a family, raising kids. They just weren't suited for that life, and who would want a partner who wasn't?

"And just how long do you plan to let him stick around?" He asked, wings fluttering faintly. "I get tired of mine in a week, tops."

She thought about it as she ran her fingers through her hair. "I don't think he'll accept leaving. Hes too stubborn and a big pain. I'll try to ditch him as soon as hes annoying but i doubt he will stay away for very long, inless i kill him and i don't really want to kill such a young thing. He's harmless even though hes threatened that he can kill me." she scoffed a little and swished her tail with a smile. "Can you imagine something taking me out?" she asked as she flashed a smile showing off her fangs. "Like it could happen." she said as she looked over her wings and tail for any blood she missed. She never thought of Love. She liked using things too much and had never once thought that she needed to settle down. She would use as many males as she needed to. Maybe a few females, she didn't care who it was. She might have children, right now she didn't but maybe one day. Not that she would help raise them but something might need to take over her hoard here and keep this place going.

"He what?!" Exclaimed Anurla, sitting up on his couch-futon-thing, all traces of previous languor gone and tail an angry, spiked exclamation mark. If anything could get him razdrez real quick, it was the thought of anyone hurting his sister. He'd been brought up to use the ladies, sure, but hitting them was a huge no-no.

"I'll rearrange his face!" Anurla's red eyes glowed faintly in his rage as he pounded the table between them, causing both semi-full goblets of red wine on it to slosh without spilling.

((USE THE LADIES! rofl -cough- Sorry. >.>))

(LOL!! I've been spelling her name wrong! Not you!! LOL!! It is Laruna!)

Laruna laughed at him and sat up slowly, taking her glass of wine. "Oh calm your self. Hes but a child, he could never do anything more then scratch me before i ripped off his head. It will be fine brother dear." she said as she sipped from her glass. "Are you going to be ok now brother dearest or are you going to defend my honor against all that have tried to fight me?" she asked. She didn't often tell her brother about the threats she got, he tended to act like this alot when it came to her. She didn't care and knew she could handle her self. If he wanted to worry about nothing then she would let him. She took another sip and leaned back on one arm and crossed her knee again.

((Wut? Oh man. xD -edits everything-))

Anurla arched a deep purple eyebrow at her words, then grinned, sitting himself back down.

"Just a child? I like mine on the young side myself..." He took a gulp of wine as well to be polite, but replaced the goblet when he was done. "What's all this about honour? Our lot don't have much of it."

He sobered up, or at least... his expression became more serious. Still on the couch, he put the soles of his feet together and pressed down on his knees, trying to stretch the tension of out his legs.

"I'd just rather not be the only demon left around here, that's all, and you... have habit if getting yourself in trouble." Anurla's style was less showy than his sister's - he liked to snag people, take what he wanted, and leave quietly without attracting attention. Laruna, on the other hand, seemed like she couldn't care less about subtletly.

One day your over-confidence will be the bane of you, and then I'll be alone, he thought, red eyes watching her quietly.

(Nope thats perfect! *Reply's before work*)

Laruna smiled at him and downed the rest of her glass. "Oh dearest you know what i mean. You have a habit of over reacting when i get in the tiniest bit of trouble. Especially when you know i can get out of things just fine. Nothing has managed to hurt me yet." She said with a smile as she set her glass down and glanced at him. "Do you not believe in my talents any more?" she said as she lay back down on her side. "I could never leave you alone darling. I wouldn't want to leave my brother alone with out something to look up to." she said as she closed her eye and enjoyed the warmth from the wine.

"Tch." Anurla drained his glass and refilled the goblets, wine loosening his tongue.

"Talents? Come on, I'm out-classed here," he said, gesturing towards their cabinets. "Sure, nothing's hurt you so far... but you're not invincible. Our lot bleed just like everything else when we're stabbed. Our lives revolve around lust, mischief, strife."

He paused, and grinned nefariously as he recalled the last few evils he had committed. "Oh, I'm definitely having fun... but haven't you ever thought that one day all the people we've done stuff to might decide to hunt us down? This place, for example. They might, I don't know, climb up and set it alight or something."

Anurla gestured around at the velvet comfort of their home. He loved the scented candles and the ornate, full-length mirrors, and shuddered to think of all of it going up in flames.

Laruna looked at her brother and thought about what he said as she sipped her new glass of wine. She lay back on her bed and looked at the ceiling, resting her glass on the bed as she thought about it. "Oh i guess your right. But is there anything else we could really be doing? And i don't think they will follow us up here. There arnt many who can get up to this place. The griffs maybe but i don't mess with them cause i don't want them coming after us where they can easily get to." She said as she rolled over onto her stomach and took another drink. She set the goblet on the ground and rested her chin on her arm after flipping her hair back. "I think we'll be safe for a while. Though if we slow down for a while and not go after stuff as strongly as we have then maybe they will slowly forget about us." she said with a smile as she watched her brother closely. Was he getting soft on her? She might have to toughen him up a little if he was going mushy.

"Err..." Anurla wondered if this was the right time to say it, then figured he'd go ahead anyway. "Actually I've been up to other stuff lately, like running a small courier service on the side. When I'm not feeling up to general mischief. I deliver parcels and stuff for peeps who live too far apart to walk over."

He smirked. "You should look at the steamy love letters! One word: sordid. I've found some pretty good targets from them.

You know what?" He asked, straightening up from the couch and draining his goblet. "Nevermind about slowing down. Let's get out and wreak some havoc...

Tonight."

Anurla grinned at his sister, more doofy-little-brother than dashing-hunk right now.

Laruna glanced at her brother and raised her eyebrow. "You want to go out and cause some havoc right now?" she asked as she sat up in one smooth fluid movement. She pushed her hair back and looked at him wondering what had come over her mushy brother. She stood up and walked over to him, bending at the waist infront of him and looking him over closely, not more then a few inches from his face. "Why do you suddenly want to leave and go out causing havoc?" She asked him softly as she folded her arms infront of her self looking him over.

Anurla bent as well, places his hands on his knees - facing each other like that they looked like warped reflections in the mirror. The features were similar, their colouring similar, and yet, not the same. Incubus and succubus, brother and sister, male and female.

"I felt like it? Since when did you start needing reasons to do things?" He raised a sardonic eyebrow, all traces of previous pensiveness gone with the wine. "Unless, of course, you're tired. I can quite understand if you've had enough for now. Your conquests must be exhausting."
