She laughed a wicked laugh and said...Check it out, yo! Just got my microdermals done today! I will get another one above each of these later, but two is good for the healing now. Would anyone else get these? Does anyone else have them currently? I just want to see who else I can be microdermal-buddies with. "Come here, let me clip your wings"

Hi! Wow! love them!! I plan on getting my own Microdermals soon! Next pay check to be Exact! I've talked to they Guy who does my Piercings and everything is a Go! So how are they healing up? Did you have any problems? Did they use the Dermal Punch or the needle? Just curious...I just want to be prepared.. I want to get three along my Hip bones, but my parental unit said go for one in the middle of the collar bones areas, so That I can watch them a lil closer with out having the irritaiton of the clothes... I'll post some pictures as soon as I get them and can to share!

This is pretty late, but I have microdermals on my right hip.

I'm planning on getting the same thing as you once I turn 18.

She laughed a wicked laugh and said...Technically there are two ways to do it, with a dermal punch or a needle. I had the needle done. First we marked the area. Then she laid me on the table and pinched and pulled the skin to loosen it up a bit and find a good grip for the forceps. Once done, she pulled the forceps up and pushed the needle straight in at an angle, then pulled it right back out, making the hole. That's what they look like. She put the longer end of the foot in first, into the hole she made, then popped in the shorter end. The skin then heals through the holes in the foot and anchors them to your skin. The tops are interchangeable. 3nodding "Come here, let me clip your wings"

You'll never get to wear jeans again, or anything that sits on your hips.
The only problem I've had so far is the left one got pulled and now there's a bit of a shadow underneath. I've been nursing it for a long time now and it's healing up nicely.
They're pretty delicate, even after so many months. Hence why hip piercings are BAD. The amount of movement there isn't conducive to healthy healing. I suggest anywhere but the hips. And the scars a torn out hip piercing leaves are not cute. "Come here, let me clip your wings"

They look lovely 3nodding I was considering getting two in the middle of my chest (to look like those surface piercings that go above a girls cleavage) but I couldn't justify the cost for something I wasn't sure would stick or not. Congrats though =]

Those are pretty much guaranteed to reject, just because of placement alone. Or if you do decide to get them done, be prepared to never wear jeans again, or anything else for that matter. You'll either have to wear super high waisted things or super low waisted, so avoid any chance of clothes catching on or rubbing on the piercings.
The "between the boobs" ones are called "cleavage" piercings. "Come here, let me clip your wings"

She laughed a wicked laugh and said...Gah... I fail. xp Had my left microdermal removed today. It got pulled on REALLY hard last August, so hard that it started rejecting, VERY slowly. Last night I saw the short end of the foot poking out, See Here.So I went to my piercer and had it removed before it got any worse. She said I can go back in in about a week or two and have it reset, which is good, because they were slightly off center anyway. It was an easy removal, though. She just took a needle, used the tip to slice open the skin over the foot, then scooped it out like a spoon. MUCH LESS painful than getting it in, that's for sure. Aftermath One.Aftermath Two.Aftermath Three."Come here, let me clip your wings"

Ahh, micro's. Hip microdermals are problematic, but not always a ticket to rejection. A lot of it depends both on the piercee and the artist. If you're looking into getting a microdermal/subdermal of any sort, I suggest looking into the artist, and seeing if he has had any direct training by a man named Steve Hayworth. He's the one that has perfected the art, and brought it into the industry that it is today.

I have a total of 13 microdermals planned so far, including custom jewlery and custom clothing to show it all off. I'll be getting mine from a reputable artists who definitely won't be using your artists 'technique,' Jagger-Wolf.

Blackhorn- the Legend I have a total of 13 microdermals planned so far, including custom jewlery and custom clothing to show it all off. I'll be getting mine from a reputable artists who definitely won't be using your artists 'technique,' Jagger-Wolf. She laughed a wicked laugh and said...Excuse me? My piercer didn't do anything wrong. She's APP licensed/approved/etc., her shop and everyone in it was voted "Best of Western Washington" this year, and she's way a**l about touching things and being super clean. The dermal rejected because it suffered an impact long after it was implanted, she didn't do anything wrong.
She prefers to use needles, versus the dermal punch. There ARE different ways to do it, there is no ONE SET proper way to do microdermals. Needle, or dermal punch. Either works just fine.
I suggest you do some more research before you start bashing someone else. Once you find out that you're wrong, it makes you look stupid. "Come here, let me clip your wings"
