The inside of Skypaw's ears burnt a pale pink. "I...." He looked at the pretty she-cat. He gathered up his courage and then....he asked. "I was wondering if you would be willing to be my mate?" He got the question out as quickly as possible without slurring the words together. "I love you, Cloudpaw." He added.

Cloudpaw was to shocked to answer. Toms weren't allowed to pick their mates, nor confess feelings to she-cats. It was against the rules!

Skypaw purred loudly. "Fox dung!" He growled. "Bonestar's Warrior Code doesn't amount to crow food." His chest puffed out with sudden rage, then he deflated. He sighed, looking more gentle now. "Besides, Bonestar told Talonpaw and I that if we could get a she-cat to willingly become our mate then we can become warriors." He thought about what he had said. "But that isn't why I asked you! I've been wanting to ask you for a while now....but...now, I have the perfect excuse for breaking the rules, you see?" He asked. His paws tingled with an odd sensation.

Skypaw smiled and purred again, absolutely delighted. The purr rumbled from deep within his chest. "We should get back to camp." He said after a while. He wanted so much to run away with her right then and there but they both had sisters to think about. "Shadepaw and Poppypaw will be getting worried."

Poppyflower thrusted with her hindlegs against Skyheart's back kicking him off of her. She jumped up and lunged for him again. She slid under him and nipped at his legs.
Skyheart lifted a paw. He couldn't help but purr. "The nipping kind of tickles." He mewed, looking down at Poppflower. "Have you seen enough, Talonclaw?"
Talonclaw nodded. "For her, yes but you have another one coming." He gestured toward Rosefur who was walking up. He told her the same thing that he had told Poppyflower.
Rosefur looked unsure but she attacked anyway.
It took Skyheart no time at all to pin Rosefur down. He pretended to deliver the killing bite and then growled. "Dead." He told her.
Rosefur was trembling.

Poppyflower let out a purr of amusement at Skyheart. That was so like him. But Bonestar and his buddies weren't going to purr when she attacked them.
"What now?" she asked after Rosefur was done.
