Mal is a good guy. No matter what facades he puts on throughout the show/movie, when it boils down to it, he is a good guy who would risk it all for those who are important to him.

AldreaOrcinae Do you love your captain? whee some would venture to say i love my captain a little too much (nathan fillion/mal *drools then dies*). i admit i am a rabid fangirl. mal is so charming and witty but under all that is a vulnerablity that everyone can relate too. he had a dream shattered and now he's just trying to hold on to the things that still matter to him: his freedom in the form of flying the 'verse, and his crew.

Am I the only one who laughed when Caleb put out Xander's eye? Hell, I cheered.
Seriously...he always annoyed me so much!!! And hot guys partaking in violence and grinning all the while...call me kinky, but I dig that. When he just said "So you're the one who sees everything, huh? Let's see if we can't do somethin' about that. *puts his thumb through Xander's skull* it was a major *THUD* moment for me. So poignant, and bloody, and filled with Xander's screams, and Nathan's sweet, sadistic smile...did I mention I really hated that character?
And fictitious or not, a naked Mal is still A Good Thing in my book.
