Long ago sealed, this tavern were nothing more then a prison of bad memories and wooden decay. None dare venture forth to it's oak doors and try it's rusted handle. That of which was obvious. The path had been grown over by grass and small plants and weeds over the many lost years, leaving the tavern to seem forgotten.
However, it was not forgotten for long, for it's original owner returned one cold evening with a young man, who could be no more than 19, who requested to have a look when he happened upon the abandoned building.
After much debate and well reasoning, the Tavern was sold to the young man for barely anything, but a simple two hundred dollars (He figured he'd rather see the place become something then wilt away), and was reopened with a new name.

Although the exterior of the tavern remained mostly untouched after the young man bought the building, the inside was remodeled with the newest of furnishings. The floors still smell lightly of polish, the tables and stools gleam in the dull light, without prints.

The large square room is divided into four near-equal sections. Left, far left, far right, right.

Stepping in from the centered door, a lounge lies to the left, arranged with two pool tables, a few various tall tables and stools, and a mysterious closet sunk deep in the corner.

Further back on the same left side is an arrangement of couches and bean bags, with a large screen TV sidled by two smaller sets, various game systems and cable packs nestled in the cabinets beneath the screens.

To the right of the entrance is the main area, littered with a handful of tables and chairs for those who decide to dine off the small menu made available at the bar counter.

The far right section is slightly bigger than the rest, seeing as it is the main attraction and purpose of the dwelling, the bar counter. Thirteen stools sit waiting for occupation. Above the various fountains and taps there can be seen a small window to the kitchen behind. A small TV hangs in the top left corner of the counter, for those passively observing whatever event the non-cable channels are playing while they drink their sorrows away.

The young man took up residence in the attic with simple furnishings,a bed, a desk, book shelf stocked full and simple rugs to cover the wood floor.

The path, now cleaned and kept, lead to an aged, weather worn oak door. The handle, now a glistening copper.
The outside of the Tavern appears worn out by the long years of no maintenance. In some areas, the wood buckles from water absorption, and on the roof, shingles are missing from extreme storms.
However, the inside can make one step back and look twice.
The sign that hung over the door was painted a weather worn red. Words that read the Tavern's old name, "The Black Rook."

The King of Thieves had made a home for his people.

Auoon Ky:
† Walking down the beaten path, a small sigh fell from this figure, and a more oddity next to her. Groans and growls fell from the stomach of the figure. Finally in the light it was shown that the figure was female. standing at only 5'0 even, and very little in the weight department. She had short white hair but if the sun hit it it tinted in a light blue color. Eyes shimmering brightly were a emerald green color. Her skin tanned a soft ivory color made this girl look like a young teen goddess. But Let alone looks can only fool the eye. For this was no goddess, for all her life she's been a thief. She took food, gold, what ever her fingers can wrap around.

Of course, a little help from her partner in crime didn't help if she got caught in fights. Right now, a small dragon, only 4'7 walked by the girl. Light blue scales, under belly scales where white and dark midnight blue mane colored this dragon beautifully. Matching emerald green eyes matched the two perfectly. Also sat a green sphere in the middle of the creatures forehead. A silver mask covered the beasts face. Its long snake like body matched the girls posture, tired, hungry and out of breath.

As the two made it around the out side rim of the tavern. The girl looked at the dragon and then at the building and the two started in, she stopped at the door and glanced at it and looks at the dragon and nods and she walked inside, while her friend sat out side and slithered under a bush and curled up under there watching the building carefully. The girl looked around and scanned the building carefully before walking around it some feeling some what alone with out her friend. User Image

Within the dusty and broken building, or more so tavern as some had come to call it since it's recent fix up, a man sat near the corner, and next to a window. The sun came down against his back, against the white vest he was wearing, with the kanji on his back meaning 'Blood'. The vest merely came down to his side and not to his waist, it was shortened so he could move around better. The hair of the man was pulled back into a pony tail about the middle of the back of his head was it tied, the hair beind that hung still moved down against the man's vest almost covering the kanji writing that was there. He was sitting in a chair, red pants covered his legs as bare feet were sitting upon the floor of the tavern, though being covered by the long pants his feet merely tapped the floor as he glanced around.

Red hues scanned over the area, staring at a few people none of particualr interest, until the door opened, a woman, well a child it seemed. What was someone like her doing in here, then again being what he was and what else he was, you could never tell from the outside appearance. He merely leaned forward, his right arm stretching out grasping the bottle in front of him. The smell was gone, it didn't seem to smell of anything, though there was liquid within the content of the bottle. Beside him,lay a long quarterstaff, trimmed with an icy blue tint at the ends and a black shaft the weapon, or walking stick leaned against the table.

As he grasped the bottle his finger gleamed with a shine, what seemed to be just a finger guard lay on his right idex finger, his hand slowly brought it back and within him flexing his back to to himself. The rune tattoos could be seen, his red eyes looked down focusing on the contents before pressing the rimm against his pale lips. Soon he tilted the bottle back allowing the liquid to run down into his mouth and down his throat as he sat there, his eyes moved back now to the woman. Sitting the bottle down his arms came to rest lightly over his lap, just staring, his other index finger had the same guard as his right.

The entrance to the place was known to her and many. The streets may not be as crowded as would be thought for a happening place as the lower city but well enough. The woman, with pastel hair unlike the normal styles of the lower city or even the convents holding the upper ladies. Her feet patted against the ground as she stepped about tussling people and running about kids. City kids no less. Syth made a face and she shrugged slightly, opening the door to the Black Rook. The sounds of the roads outside echoed as she turned and soon she closed the door with a deep sigh. The room was no more bigger then she remembered it but that was alright, for she had been away for many days. Turning about to face the room, her white hair fell along her blue hued eyes which were shifting about the room with a charmers air. She was no fool.

Looking about the room hidden this action was though to others eye. She made her way to a seat at the back of the room, finding it to be her regular. She sat there silently, and expressionless, no longer accepting offers of drinks for the night. Shifting her weight not she lifted her face up, letting the locks of hair fall from her eyes so she might see everyone better. There was another man there and a woman.. well younger woman. She said nothing to this and then turned towards the stairs that lead to the rooms above. Perhaps a room for the night might work best for her but allas she did not know if the rogue was in. Awaiting the time she might find that she had the opportunity to speak with her long time friend. Taking a eye full of him though the man caught her eye. Interesting.. his eyes. The mage played with string, under the eye of anyone not under 4ft tall. The magic slipped from her fingers and she smiled gravely, closing her eyes once again. All the while saying nothing at all.

The sun had finally disappeared behind the mountains when Fist walked into the view of the Rook. He loved this place, most people here kept to themselves and the owner was always in the attic. The smell of decay was in the air, but that was usual for this place. He lumbered towards the door fluidly, despite the fact he had metal shoes. Fist took in a deep breath and flexed his ears as he came closer to the door. He was casing the joint. He didn't stop walking but looked directly at the bush the reptile was curled up in. He flared his nose a little more and caught the traces of two females who had recently passed through. The smell of the one female coated the reptile, and he knew it was a pet. He grabbed the door handle with one of his big hands, without hesitation and pulled it open rougly.

He let the door creak all it wanted as it was released from his big hand. It stayed open for a brief moment as he stepped inside. He lowered his head to get through the door, and his face was hidden by the giant hat apon his cranium. As he came through he cased the joint again and stood up straight again. He eyed the patrons for a brief moment through his sunglasses and went to the bar directly. He sat apon the middle stool and reached over the counter. He grabbed a bottle of vampyric blood wine and poured it into a glass. He then, pulled a vial of poison flower nectar from his glove and poured some into the glass and the rest into his bottle. From that point on, he kept watch on all the people through his sunglasses, via the many reflective surfaces in the room.
