06. Reserved Welcome to Ilium Enchanted! Welcome! Ilium Enchanted was started so that we could meet new people and have fun. We're hoping you do to, since you're here. We want it to be enjoyable for everyone, so please keep it positive.
This is a place to RP your dragons and meet people, so have fun!
A little background on the Ilium and Trillium
Ilium are mysterious creatures, bonding to special people and growing into wonderful companions. They enjoy most anything and won't hesitate to try new things - even if it means being a bit reckless.
Ilium are able to communicate telepathically with their Bonded, a very useful and special talent they possess. While quite intelligent, the Ilium are also fiercely loyal, defending their Bonded even in the direst of circumstances.
The Trillium are close relatives of the Ilium but do not Bond. Their abilities differ only slightly but alliances, or even romances, between to the cultures are not very common. Half-breeds, or Metium, are looked upon as a disgrace and fit into neither culture.

General Rules: The General Rules apply to everyone and must be followed. Make sure to read through them, for anyone who breaks a rule will be grey listed and then black listed if the rule-breaking continues.
1. Follow the Gaia ToS
2. Everyone must read the whole first page before posting, the answer to your question may already be on this page. If however, it isn't, please post your questions in the thread and we'll get to it as soon as possible.
3. Don't whine, complain, or otherwise be a pain.
4. Please don't PM us, if you have something important, just post it and I'll get to it when I can.
5. You're not permitted to take or modify any of SkieBorne's or Draconis)Wyrm's art work, designs, or anything without express permission. Theft = instant black list. All images are (c) SkieBorne and Draconis)Wyrm, respectively.
6. If a critter isn't in the Event post, then it's not for sale.
7. Keep things PG-13 and cursing to a minimum
8. Don't argue with any of the staff. If there's a problem, PM me (SkieBorne)
9. We do pet trades, but don't take bribes, so don't try it. Feel free to ask about pet trades, however.
10. RPing is highly recommended, but not required.
11. If you're quitting Gaia, let us know whether or not your dragon can be given to a new owner.
12. Don't buy a pet and never return. All we ask is that you drop by once in a while to let us know you haven't dropped off the face of the Earth.
13. Conversations are loved, they bring up the thread.
14. ALL trades go to Ilium_Enchanted, the shop mule
15. You may not - for any reason - sell your Ilium! If you don't want it anymore, give it back to the shop and we'll find it a new home.
16. Be a good sport. If you've lost a pet to someone else in an event, please don't be rude. Instead, congratulate them.
17. Don't try to guilt us into giving you a pet and don't ask for one if you can't pay for it.
18. Rules can be changed at any time.  Colourist Rules: 0)Colourists receive 60% of the flatsale, auction, and raffle price for the pets they've coloured, 70% from their customs, and 100% from breedings
1) All employees must listen to SkieBorne and Draconis)Wyrm
2) If you want to run an auction, let SkieBorne know before hand so she can schedule things properly.
3) If you are let go, or no longer wish to be a staff member of this shop (as-in quit or fired, or disappearing), you do not hold any copyrights to any outlines, even if you altered them. They are property and copyright of SkieBorne and Draconis)Wyrm respectively. Any colorings you submitted to us that haven't been sold yet can be sold without the payment to you since you no longer work for the shop.
4) The outlines are for use here on Gaia Online, in the shop only. Using them for profit is theft and will be severely dealt with.
5) Any changes in the outlines dealing with Ilium Enchanted must be comfirmed by SkieBorne before being sold or auctioned. You're free to alter the lineart and be creative, but please don't sell it without our approval. Our permission is easy to get so please pass it by us first.
6) You may not enter your images colored by you in any Art forum, such as Elfwood, DeviantART, or the Gaia Art Arena rating forum here. The coloring is your work, but the outline is still copyrighted to SkieBorne or Draconis)Wyrm.
7) Everyone may set there own prices for autobuys (in auctions, of course) as long as it is within reason. If it is found to be unreasonable then it will be reviewed and we will give you a fair range to set it in.
8 ) Newly hired colorists are on a one month probationary period. If it doesn't work out, they will be let go. Flatsales:
There are a couple ways that Flatsales run around here, the two most common being speed sales and RP prompts. Do not post your entry until the big red "GO!" is up. Believe me, you won't miss it. A flatsale only starts when this is up.
~The price is varies depending on the rarity of the dragon.
~Those with dragons are welcome to participate, unless otherwise specified.
~I'll post the available pets a few days before the sale begins.
~You can only get one dragon per flatsale
~I'll post the rules again, 5 minutes before the sale begins.
~Only 2-3 eggs will be sold each sale.
Speed Sales 1. First come first served.
2. Send trades Ilium_Enchanted
3. Fill out form correctly, incorrect forms will be ignored
4. Fill out this form:
Speed Sale Form -------Username:-------Selection: (include colour and/or birthdate) -------Name:-------Parents: (Optional) -------Total amount owed: RP Prompt Flatsale 1. Once you post your entry, you MAY NOT EDIT! Editing = instant disqualification and you lose your chance for that event.
2. Choose only one that you want, don't give alternatives or lists - it's not fair to others. Also, make sure to include the colour and number of your selection. If we can't figure out which one you want, we'll skip your entry.
3. Entries submitted the minute we end the flatsale will still be reviewed but anything after that won't.
4. If you can't pay within 36 hours of winning, don't apply.How it Works:1) To enter an RP prompt flatsale, wait for the big red "GO!" then post the following form:
RP Prompt Form -------Username:-------Selection: (include colour and/or birthdate) -------Entry: (Give a minimum 1 paragraph RP sample.)
-------a) Creativeness and uniqueness
-------b) Proper spelling and grammar
-------c) Whether it's interesting or not
The top 3-6 entries will then be ranked from first place through sixth place (amount varies with the flatsale).3) The winners will then choose the pet they want, starting with the first place winner first and so on down to the last person. Auctions Auction Rules:1. Starting bid is 1000g.
2. Bid increments must be at least 500g. This means if Joe bid 1000g before me, I must bid at least 1500g in order to have a valid bid. Bids that don't follow this rule are not valid and will be ignored.
3. The start and end times will be posted in the Events post.
4. NO EDITING your post whatsoever. Editing = instant disqualification.
5. Once you win, send the trade and name your dragon. (We'll announce the winners)
6. No sniping. New bidders must bid before the last hour arrives. If bids are still being made in the last 10 minutes, the auction will be extended by 10 minute increments until no more bids are made. Please note that new bidders will not be accepted if this happens.
7. DO NOT retract bids without one hell of a reason.
8. Once the auction's over, it's over. Don't complain.
9. Items are allowed;all non-commons (including letters and donation items) will be valued mid-level Teh Guide. Please, for the love of cookies, don't bid things like hockey masks and other "newb" items. If you must, they're valued at sellback and no more.
10. Bids including items must have a tally and final total at the bottom.Ex.

-------Total: 6500g Raffles Raffle Rules:1. You are allowed to buy tickets up to the max amount. Prices and available amounts will vary with each raffle.

5. Sending a trade without specifying the number of tickets you want will result in me cancelling the trade.
6. Be patient, the list will be updated. We have lives and can't spend every waking moment on Gaia.

Official versus Unofficial The terms "official character/RP" and "unofficial character/RP" may be confusing to some people so here's come clarification.
Official character:
The character any member of the guild roleplays where the actions of that person counts towards growths, classes, rank, and breeding. This character can be separate from the character used in the unofficial RPs.
Official RP:
The RP where the actions and events that occur actually effect the main RP. The Main forum is where these RPs will always be.
Unofficial character:
The character any member of the guild roleplays where the actions do not count towards things. These characters can have any rank, class, or breed from Aurelia but they do not count in the reality of Ilium Enchanted. These characters are separate from the main RP. The profile should be posted in the unofficial RP that guild member has joined.
Unofficial RP:
An unofficial RP is one where the general idea behind the RP is based off of Ilium Enchanted. The kind of RP is entirely up to the RP Manager. The events, classes, ranks, events, romances, children, etc. that happen in these RPs will not affect your actual standing in Ilium Enchanted.

FAQThe FAQ is meant to answer any questions you may have, so read through this and then post if your answer isn't here.
Q: How do I get an Ilium?
A: You can get one though a flatsale, auction, raffle, pet trade, or gift. I'll post in the Announcements when Ilium are available.
Q: Are there any available?
A: If there's none in the Event post, then no. An announcement will be made when they're up for sale.
Q: Alrighty, I want one but what's required for owning one?
A:It is required that all owners:
-drop by the thread at least once per month
-update their pet's journal at least once every 1 to 2 weeks
-not required to RP, but perks like rank and class remain exclusive to those who do, this also means special in RP items, awards, and updates are exclusive to RPers
Q: So... does that mean I can own more then two if I update my journal and post here once a month?
A: Absolutely. 3nodding
Q: When's the next Flatsale?
A: Dunno, an announcement will be made in the Announcements and the details will be posted in the Event post, under the Flatsale section
Q: Are you hiring? I'd like to work for you.
A: Not at this time; if I am hiring, I'll make an announcement.
Q: I don't like my pet, can I trade for another?
A: Nope. That's the risk you run. A lot of hard work goes into this, so if you want one to your specifications, purchase a custom.
Q: How long does it take for my dragon to grow up?
A: Anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months, it depends on how often you RP. Don't sorry though, your dragon will grow up.
Q: How much do the Ilium and Trillium cost at Flatsale?
A: Each Ilium costs 3500g at a flatsale. If you win one from a flatsale, you have 36 hours to start a trade with me, SkieBorne. If you don't, you lose your chance and it goes to the next in line.
Q: Can I get a custom?
A: Yes. Custom colours are cheapest and full customs are more expensive.
Q: How many can I buy at each event?
A: Only 1, to keep it fair for everyone. If you want more, lurk until the next event comes up.
Q: Do I have to roleplay my critter? / How active do I have to be?
A: No, you don't have to RP, but that doesn't mean you're allowed to buy a dragon and go poof. Just stop by once in a while and you'll be in the green.
Q: What if I'm not active enough, what happens?
A: We'll be forced to assume you've abandoned your pet. It will be taken from you and we will find it a new home. If you are going to be inactive for long periods of time, please leave a note in this thread.
Q: Do RPers get perks?
A: Yup. Among other things, they get dibs at guild events and special prizes.
Q: How can my dragon get a rank or class?
A: If you RP, when your dragon reaches the juvenile stage, they can gain a class of their choice. If you don't respond to the PM that we send about asking which class you want, you won't get a class. Ranks are special and have to be earned via RPing.
Q: Where do we RP?
A: The Guild, of course. All the neccesary RP information is there, so as not to clutter up the shop. Take a look! ^^
Q: Will you change prices or dates if I ask?
A: Not a chance. I'll change things if I feel it's necessary, not because you asked.
Q:Want to do a pet trade?
A: Sure. Just PM me with a link to your shop and we'll go from there. ^^
Q: Can I trade my pet for someone's elses?
A: Absolutely not! No one is allowed to trade their pets with other people. Do that and ints instaban.
Q: How much does breeding cost?
A: 6k. ^^ Each parent pays 3k and Ilium/Trillium have clutches between 1 and 4 eggs.
