Biography:

The year was 1997, and a small Indy federation in the slums of Durem played host to the debut of a young wrestler by the name of "Sudden Death", by pitting him against that companies heavyweight champion, Erik Kingston, in none other than a no-disqualification match up. During that match, Sudden Death got hit with several stiff chair shots to his forehead and nose, resulting in a concussion, forty stitches and a scar that would haunt him for the rest of his life.

What does this have to do with The Unholy Meatpuppet?

Everything.

Sudden Death would go on to lose that match, in just under five minutes, and be immediately rushed to hospital, where he received the stitches and was tested for any serious damage to the brain. That day, the doctor who treated him said that Sudden Death should retire from active wrestling, as that nights injuries were bad enough, but the doctor couldn't see him making a living off of doing this much damage to himself. In fact the doctor said he couldn't survive doing this for even a year longer, as his brain had suffered irreversible damage, even though at the time it was only minor, a large enough blow to the damaged area could cause him to become brain damaged, and possibly paralysed. After that night Sudden Death never wrestled again.

Roughly one year later, a masked wrestler began making sporadic appearances in several different promotions all over Mexico, under the name of Marioneta Del Hombre, which roughly translates to 'Man Puppet'. There the rookie defined his craft, working lower card matches for many promotions, before finally being given the trust to be pushed into the main event. Soon he began a feud with another masked wrestler, which escalated to such heights that the two were demanded to make appearances all across both Europe and Japan. Finally their feud came to a head in the Sumo Palace in Tokyo, in a match-up that many underground fans claim was the Japanese match of that year. It was a Mask vs. Mask match, which Marioneta Del Hombre would eventually loose. Because of the stipulation of the match-up, when he lost the match, he also lost his privacy, as he had to remove his mask, finally revealing the underground superstar's true identity. Upon removing his mask fans say they only remember two things about his appearance; his long black hair, and a large scar down his face.

That night not only did Marioneta Del Hombre drop his mask for good, he also dropped his name. He continued wrestling in Japan, unmasked, and with the new name 'Meat Puppet'. He soon entered the world renowned Super-J Cup, where he only made it as far as the second round, after being absolutely humiliated due to his lack of technical skill. He soon stopped competing in Japan full time and eventually moved back to the States, where he went to the training facility of Chris Kettes, a master of the mat. He trained there for a good year before finally being confident again to set out on his own, and make his return to active competition.

The year was now 2000, and the man once known as Meat Puppet had now adopted the new name, The Unholy Meatpuppet. He continued to wrestle in the Indies in the United States, and various promotions in Japan and Germany for the next three years, before seriously injuring his head once more, this time in a brutal match up with a German, One Hundred pounds larger than Puppet. This time a cat scan revealed a small haemorrhage in the brain of Puppet, but was deemed non-fatal by the doctor that had told him he would be unable to continue wrestling six years earlier. In fact the doctor said that continuing to wrestle professionally would not further injure his brain, but he should take a good twelve months off to let his brain heal as much as possible. Reluctantly Puppet did as the doctor ordered.

The year was now 2004, and Puppet was ready to make his return to the ring, but one thing was bothering him. In seven long years of Wrestling professionally, Puppet still had no championship gold to his name. Determined, Puppet returned to the Indy scene. His goal was to be in the best matches he could produce, and get as much exposure as possible. Apparently his hard work paid off, as within only three months back on the active scene Puppet was recruited by Gaia Extreme Wrestling Entertainment ((GEWE)), and was instantly thrust into the main event spotlight, challenging for the companies main strap in his first ever match with the company. Unfortunately, he lost the match to his opponent Shocker, who took the belt that night. Even though Puppet lost the match the events that followed overshadowed Shocker's win, as Puppet, in his frustration, knocked Shocker unconscious with the help of a steel chair. In that one swift movement the fans who once loved him turned on him, and his opponent who once had respect for him, looked at him with fire in his eyes.

A mere three weeks later at the companies first Pay-Per-View Puppet had earned a re-match, and this time the match was under street fight conditions. That night Puppet finally picked up what had eluded him for the last seven years of his career, championship gold. After that night Puppet became a fighting champion, defending that belt at all occasions, under various stipulations, like Submission matches, Street Fights, and the most brutal match of his career to that date, the Hell in a Cell against the monster Demon. Still, he came out triumphant.

His fighting champion ways and respect for the title soon put fans back on Puppets side, and for five long months he held the championship, never suffering a pin fall, and never submitting. The end to his title reign finally came when the company he was representing, the GEWE, went bankrupt, and obviously folded. The entire roster was now out of work, and Puppet had to relinquish the title he worked so hard for, and loved above anything else, not because he had been beaten, or not because he had been injured, but because the company crumbled around him. Again Puppet received another personal defeat.

Soon all of the GEWE's rings and equipment was bought by a young lady by the name of Brianna Rach, with the intention of setting up her own wrestling company. In just a month after the demise of the GEWE the Gambino Wrestling Alliance ((GWA)) was born, and with it some of the former GEWE talent was hired as well, one of them being Puppet. Instantly Puppet set out to relive his dream, of once again being on top of the mountain, but in doing so he upset a lot of the fans, all of which once again turned on him. Finding himself being showered by boos once more, Puppet didn't handle the pressure to well, as he started what would be a three match loosing streak. But soon that streak was broken, and he picked up the victory against two of the people who had beaten him in the previous weeks, and two of his former colleagues, and rivals in the GEWE, Rocker and Demon, at the GWA's first ever Pay-Per-View in a hellacious Triple Threat match.

Soon after Puppet was booked in a match with a rival from the GEWE, and one of the men he had met in the Triple Threat match just one month earlier, Demon, in an attempt to try and name a GWA 'Prime Time' champion, the companys equivalent to a heavyweight title. Puppet, seeing the opportunity to get back to the top of the mountain gave it his all in the match, but neither men could claim victory, as both looked for the easy way to gain the win, by each trying to knock each other out with steel chairs. The match ended in a double disqualification, leaving no champion named, and more importantly, no belt around the waist of Puppet.

After two matches, involving four different wrestlers, and still having no High Time Champion, Brianna created a match that would HAVE to declare a winner. She called it a 'Gambino's Cell' match. Six individuals were involved in the hellacious structure, Puppet being one of them. Once again he looked to get back to the top, but under the elimination rules, he was the first to leave the structure, once again missing out on his dream. Instead he had to sit back and watch another of his rivals, 'The Heartbreaker', Roy Chambers, take the gold.

After the 'Gambino's Cell' match, Puppet took a lengthy time off from active competition, not appearing on GWA television for over a month. Rumours began to grow that Puppets absence was because of his lingering injuries, others claimed that it was out of frustration that, again, he missed out on the chance to return to the top of the mountain as World Heavyweight Champion or perhaps his lingering injuries had caught back up with him? Puppet's disappearance from the scene for close to a month was seen as a blessing from most, but in a cryptic message sent to GWA headquarters, and straight to the desk of Brianna Rach, Puppet revealed that his time away from the ring would not be long, and that upon his return, he would finally awaken the beast.

Three months followed, and Puppet continued on with his new goal. He wanted to rid the GWA of garbage wrestling. He wanted the sport to actually be a sport again. He defeated Craig Morgan in a Dog Collar match, showing that he was better than the "Hardcore King" - even in his own environment. Next, he challenged TNT - Tai 'Nitro' Tolium - to a match at Sudden Impact. It didn't work out as well as he had planned.

After the loss, Puppet took leave from the GWA once more, reportedly to get his act together and contemplate his future. A press release was received at GWA Headquarters, from Puppet's manager, Percy Milton. In the Release, it said that Puppet's return was imminent, but it was not to be confined to the GWA any longer. And Puppet's domination would finally begin.

Agent/Manager(s);

Agent -

Percy Milton;

Percy made his debut in the GWA at the July tenth edition of Damaged, where he came out to address a statement made by Ms. Brianna Rach, regarding the contractual status of The Unholy Meatpuppet and the Gambino Wrestling Alliance.

Even though this was Percy's on air debut, he has been Puppet's agent, behind the scenes for many months, originally signing him to a contract in October of 2004, one month into Puppet's first, and only to date, title reign in the GEWE.

Puppet has grown a reputation of not really have anyone to talk to, or anybody to confide news, either personal or business-wise with. But as of late, Percy has begun to ear the trust of Puppet who, as backstage reports indicates, he talks to on a regular basis.

Other than the July tenth appearance on Damaged, there are no further indications that we will be seeing Percy on GWA television.

Gimmick;

The leader of a new generation. Ten years ago, pure wrestling was replaced with hardcore wrestling in an attempt to give the wrestling fans something new to watch. Since that time, hardcore wrestling has gotten out of control, as almost every match ends in some sort of rules infringement, or with the introduction of a foreign weapon. Being a veteran of almost ten years, Puppet has taken it upon himself to bring in a new era. Not just an era of technical wrestling. Not just an era of the demise of garbage wrestling. But the era of The Unholy Meatpuppet.

Notable Feuds;

Shocker

Demon

Rocker

Entrance Theme:

"The Leaving Song" by AFI

Entrance:

((*Song Lyrics are only used for high profile matches))

"And his opponent, originally hailing from West Chester Pennsylvania, and now residing in North Aekea, weighing in at Two Hundred and Forty Five pounds and standing a tall Six Feet, Four Inches, he is a former World Heavyweight Champion, he is The Unholy Meatpuppet!"

The house lights dim as a strobe light located somewhere near the entrance curtain begins to slowly and gently pulsate. A sound of a guitar strumming slowly leaks out of the speakers as The Leaving Song begins to play.

* Walked away, heard them say
"Poison hearts will never change,"
walk away again.
*

The crowd on either side of the entrance curtain grow anxious with the stalling of the wrestler whose entrance they eagerly await. The strobe light continues to pulsate along with the slow theme of the song, as still the wrestler who is concealed behind the curtain makes the fans wait.

* Hard to notice gleaming from the sky,
when you're staring at the cracks.
Hard to notice what is passing by with eyes lowered.
*

The strobe light stops pulsating as the song momentarily stops. Two hands pry the entrance curtain apart, as The Unholy Meatpuppet walks throw them slowly, his head bowed to the floor. The arena immediately fills with boos, as fans yell obscenities at the wrestler, who pauses a few paces away from the curtain he just walked through. The song kicks back in as the strobe light behind him begins to pulsate once again.

* All the cracks, they lead right to me,
and all the cracks will crawl right through me.
All the cracks, they lead right to me,
and all the cracks will crawl right through me, and I fell apart.
*

Puppet begins his short, slow walk to the ring, keeping his head bowed, his long, black hair covering his face and ignoring the fans as he passes them by. As he reaches the nearest ring steps, he slowly places one foot after another on them, climbing them at his own pace, not allowing the crowd to dictate anything that he does. He shuffles along the ring apron, before sliding gracefully through the second and third rope.

* Turned away in disgrace,
felt the chill upon my face cooling from within...
*

The song goes through its final stages, before finishing as the strobe lights turn off, and the house lights return to their original opacity.

*Steve Twist and Sparco vs Roy Chambers and The Unholy Meatpuppet: One Step Closer, 2005*

Common Moves;

Submission;

- Side Headlock
- Boston Crap
- Fujiwara Armbar

Most of Puppet's submission moves are designed to slow down, or injure the opponent, continually forcing him down to the mat, where Puppet can begin to methodically target the usual areas, notably the head and neck, for his finishing manoeuvres.

Aerial;

- Flying Legdrop
- Twisting Suicida Plancha
- Flying Lariat

Big moves designed to inflict pain on his opponents. Puppet's aerial manoeuvres were never designed to make the fans gasp and chant for more. Puppet's aerial manoeuvres were designed to take his opponents down, and keep them down. The most powerful move Puppet has in his aerial arsenal is his patented flying lariat, which, if done at the right moment in a match, has the potential to put his opponent away.

Grapple Moves;

- Rolling German Suplex
- Evenflow DDT
- Brain-Buster Suplex

High impact moves and technical wrestling throws is what takes up Puppet's grappling play book. Puppet isnt really confined to anything in this area, and can do any move at anytime, but still has a short list of moves that he commonly uses to soften up the neck and head of his opponents.

Strikes;

- Forearm Strikes
- Knife edge chops
- Lariats

Like most of the moves in Puppet's common moves list, his strikes were never intended to take out and put down opponents, but instead serve a purpose. Each strike and each lariat is calculated to such a degree, as to ensure that he can create an opening for himself, or just wear down his opponent.

Signature Move(s)

Forsaken Sorrow:

Chicken Wing Crossface; Puppet, behind his opponent, and with one arm grabs on of his opponents arms in a single arm Chicken Wing, wraps his other and around his opponents face, and wraps his legs around the torso os his opponent, sending them falling to the mat.

Changing Hearts:

Implant DDT; A wrestler applies a front facelock to an opponent then lifts the victim off the ground just before falling backwards to drive the opponent face first down to the mat.

Shining Wizard:

Shining Wizard; Puppet runs at his opponent, who is kneeling on one knee. He steps on his opponents knee for elevation, whilst kneeing them in the side of the head.

Finisher(s);

Priamary;

The Revolution;

Swinging Fisherman Buster; the wrestler will hook the victim's near leg with their free arm to aid in lifting them off the ground. With the victim elevated Puppet does a one hundred and eighty degree turn, the attacker will then throw themselves backwards, landing on their back and driving the head of the victim into the ground.

Secondary;

Puppet Driver I;

A scoop slam piledriver; Picks his opponent up as if to execute a scoop slam, but as he lifts the opponent upside down, instead of slamming him down to the mat, Puppet sits down, driving his opponents forehead into the mat.
