I wrote a story just sitting alone last night. Overall, it's not really very good writing, but has a deep meaning. Just looking for some critique.

Sarah sat alone in her room, once again fallen to the ground, just crying. Crying over the issues she was afraid to address, and couldn't talk about. her friends were clueless to her pain, clueless to what was happening in her life. She wanted to tell them, but just couldn't.
She was adopted, but it was much more complicated than that. Nobody would know what happened to her, but everybody knew it was tearing her apart. She was lucky her biological mother was still alive, but would have to wait 4 years to meet her.
Restricted from seeing her mother... it was too much for her to take... she would take knives to her skin, and hide the scars. When people started to find out, is when things got worse. People always asking "Why can't you just stop?" But it wasn't just something she could stop herself from doing. Her friends couldn't stand being around her.
She started searching for more. She needed her cocaine. She needed her alcahol. She needed her knives. She had nothing left. Nothing but one friend. Herself. Talking to herself was the only way to get any sense back into herself at all. The last conversation she had with herself was short, but meant so much.
"Sarah, why can't you just stop?"
"Because the pain, it feels so good... the blood tastes so good..."
That's all she needed... to know why she was cutting, it's the only thing she needed to know to stop. She had wasted so much of her life away, and she wanted that piece of her life back. She wanted all of her friends back. She wanted her health back. But she couldn't have it back. All she could have is her mother. That was her motivation. That was the only thing that mattered.
After years of cutting, and years of crying, years of thinking about her mother every second of everyday, it almost seemed magical that the love for her mother was the only thing that could bring her back to reality. Her mother almost seemed like a gaurdian angel.
