This is where members of squad 11 come to fight.
There are no practice dummies here, all training is to be done with a sparring partner.
Members from other squads are welcome to come along and propose a challenge.
WARNING
If you kill another shinigami, you will have to answer to Captain Hayabusa.
We at squad 11 love fighting, and war play. But to kill a comrade is unforgivable.

Kanji walked out into the open area of the sparring grounds, flicking away the butt of his cigarette.
He stopped a few yards into the area, letting the breeze that was gently flowing around the squad 11 HQ engulf him as he closed his eyes.
He took a deep breath before continuing to the middle of the grounds, where he stood and waited for his opponent.

Helios walked into the sparring grounds and took his shield that was on his back in his left arm and adjusted it till it felt right. With that he threw off his shinigami robes revealing under neath the bronze Hoplite armor.
"Are you ready captain?"

Kanji watched Helios as he entered the area, and did so until he was opposite him.
Kanji was rather suprised to see armour, even more so by seeing a shield, He'd never seen a shinigami use either before.
'This could get interesting.'.
He slid off the belt slung over his shoulder that held the clipping for his zanpakuto and lay it on the ground.
"Give me a second." He replied, as he took off his captains robes, and let it go.
The wind caught it and threw it off to the side of the grounds, where it landed on the floor and stayed.
Bending down he gripped the hilt of his blade wit his right hand,and holding the belt with his left, "Now I'm ready" He wispered.
He sprinted at Helios as fast as he could, un-clipping the zanpakuto form it;s holster just as he approached, and making a horizontal slash, at Helio's torso.
(I may be a bit rusty it's been a while since i've had a fight in RP) sweatdrop

Helios brought his shield to the front of him to block the on coming attack making him slide back a bit while the dirt below gathered behind his heels.
"A Captain is supposed to be one of the strongest beings in this place... Is this all you can muster?" asked the Spartan.

Kanji leant in closer to Helio's face, and grinned, "I wouldn't be too cocky my friend.".
Normally a remark like that would get kanji's blood boiling, but he was willing to let this one slide. Afterall, he wanted to see Helio's limits...not beat him half to death.
Kanji twisted his body, standing with his right shoulder behind his blade.
He slipped his right leg, between Helio's legs. He then shoved his shoulder into his blade, attempting to push him back, and trip over his leg.

Helios was starting to be pushed back and the dust was getting thick and would soon make him trip back. That would be a bad position for him but before he would go down he would attempt a stab with his Zapakuto, a strange looking weapon for a shinigami the back of it curved but the front only went along the curve halve way before growing wider at in the middle and continued to the point.

Kanji step forward as the curved zanpakuto was thrust towards him.
He raised his elbow slightly, and twisted his torso, allowing the blade to pass under his arm, slicing through his robes.
As soon as half the blade was past, Kanji clamped his arm back to his body.
He dropped the belt, that he held in that hand, and quickly attempted to grab the wrist holding the sword.
He then jumped up, placing his right knee on the shield.
As Helios fell, Kanji fell down with him, aiming to crush him under his own shield.

Helio's sheild stayed firm as he felt even when he crashed to the ground. Such was the legendary strength of the spartans, but with out his sword he could fight back. His only chance was to push the other SHinigami from him. Slowly he sat there until the oppertunity presented its self to relaliate.

The Spartan didn't even seem to struggle. Although holding the weight of both his shield, and the full weight of the captain, without even pulling a face was impressive, He just seemed to lay there.
"Is this is how the 'Legendary' Spartans fought?!" He spat out the question, "Not even trying are you?".
It seemed to Kanji that he didn't wish to fight back. And when people who call themselves warriors refuse to fight, Kanji gets mad.
Come to think of it, there are a lot of things that get Kanji mad.
"Fight back damn it!" He shouted, with his face going slightly red, and the tendons in his neck looking as though they where about to rip out of his neck.
He slammed his head down towards Helio's nose, in an attempt to rile him up.

Something like this was what Helios was waiting for he leaned his head back and pushed his bronze helmet right into Kanji's head this gave him what he needed to push back Kanji and to pick up his weapon, "You get angry to easy don't you?" he asked breathing deeply.

Kanji's head bounced of the helmet. The shock of the impact, made him fall back and off from Helios.
He quickly took a step back, and took up a defensive position, holding his unpartizan out in front of him so a sly attack would be easily blocked.
Kanji smiled at Helios, while staring deep into his eye.
"Haha, What gave me away?" He asked rhetorically. "I do have a teensy problem with my temper, i admit. Everyone has thier flaws" He said rather calmly.
He relaxed a little, and put his zanpakuto over his shoulder, so he could drape his hands over it.
"This time" He said with a little pause,"You can come at me."
Kanji gave a little grin as he waited for Helios to make his next move.

Helios started circling Kanji , sheild towards him just incase he tried something. He was trying to work something out some form of attack. Finally he just ran in to thrust with his sword hard.

Kanji stood still, his eye's following Helios as he circled about him.
He was faced away from Helios as he heard his feet shuffle. Kanji smiled.
He span around, swinging his zanpakuto about in a circling arc. Kind of like a half spin from a spinning top.
Helios's blade dove into Kanji's stomach, splashing blood onto the floor.
Kanji didn't mind too much, He'd kinda gotten used to wounds like these by now.
He continued to swing his blade, holding his arm outstretched.
He aimed to slash at Helios's knees. If a man can't stand, he can't fight.
