This mysterious girl is a direct descendant of Namo, the keeper of the Houses of the Dead. She is almost of age, and has an important decision ahead of her.
The descendants of Namo are expected to join the family business per se, and join Namo in the worlds below. When they come of age they are expected to make a choice; join Namo below or stay above and be shunned by their families.

She has a choice. Will she stay, motivated by other reasons? Will she follow her ancestors to the underworld?

Ridaeh Name:Rin
Ridaeh Personality:

Response:Rin looked glanced at the sky from her small hidden spot amoungst the forest. She sighed at its beauty and familiarity. It seemed to describe her life; the sunrise was her life, new and fresh and all that surrounded her; the night sky were the evils and sadly her relitives and whatever lay where she was supposed to be. But the stars in the sky, the beautiful, glistening, distant stars were what were changing her mind on one of the most, if not THE most important decision of her life. One of those many stars, the light in her existance was the love of her life, a young male Ridaeh named Blade. Others thought of him as foolish and not seeing the main points of life, but they never got to understand him.

Rin now understood what the meaning of life was; what the meaning of her life was. Her life was with Blade, unlike what her parents had. They had always thought of her as “different” and “causing problems when there were already so many” back when she was little and they thought she wasn’t listening or paying attention. Rin grumbled about, pacing back and forth, thinking about what to do. She unsheathed her claws, creating pits in the dirt ground, and was in the mood of slashing apart a nearby tree. She calmly took another breath and sheathed her claws again. ”Why can’t life be any easier?” she wailed, knowing no one would hear her. But she had already pretty much decided her choice. She would stay above. Her past no longer mattered much to her. After all, it was the future that she was looking forward for many Eas to go. She would start a new life, like the rising of the sun, and her story would be well known across the world, and many would be proud of her. Feeling better about herself, she went to announce her decision to her family.

I woke in wonder in a sunless wood;
Username: Satu Markula
Ridaeh Name: Morana, often called Ana
Ridaeh Personality: Somber and quiet, wise beyond her years.

Response: Spring. It meant a new beginning, new life after the cold death of winter... the smell of damp earth reached her delicate nose, and she could almost hear the plants growing in the soil beneath her feet. A smile lit her face as she watched a bird light on a sturdy, low hanging branch, already starting to build a new nest for the new season; his mate would surely follow soon after. Part of her wanted to stay in this new world forever, wanted to bask in the sun and the light, and watch as life unfolded in front of her.

Except...

She came to a pause before a stump, the tree newly fallen from the weight of the winter snows. The log that lay on the ground was decaying - some would call it a blight on the otherwise sunny and bright portrait around her. But for those who had eyes to see, it was but another sign of life; new plants were growing out of the old, using the nutrients to feed and expand. Without the death of the old, the new would have no room to grow. If she forsook her duty, stayed in this world... someone would have to take her place. Everything had to die, and those with souls had to be guided and cared for after death; otherwise, when spring came again, birth could not take place.

With that thought, she knew her fate was sealed. She would take her place in the Houses of the Dead. It was her duty, but more than that, it was an honor. She had a special place in the cycle of life and death, and that was something she would hold in her heart and treasure for all time. She would take this one last day in the upper world, breath in the fresh air, and watch the world start to renew itself.

Then she would travel back below, and remain there for the rest of her life.
