So yesterday, I was talking to a friend of mine who happens to be one of my best friends. I've known her since I moved to canada. So, 14 years.
It's pretty amazing.
And then she asked me who my first best friend is and then she said it should be her cuz' i've known her the longest.
I told her "no" because i don't measure friendship based on time. I base them on the quality and strength.

A touchey subject for me, cause I haven't had nearly as much of a close relationship with friends as I may have wanted to and or desire to have.
I think the best friendships though are the ones who will stick with you... even through "hell" in your life... even when you make your biggest mistakes... even when you turn your back on them yourself... and they still care about and want to be there for you, and see you through it all. Truely... "no matter what!"

I think best friends are the people who are the most honest to you.
The people who know you the best and know all your little habits and make fun of you for it, but you don't get bothered. You guys know when your best friend makes fun of you or something you do and you hardly get bothered by it? But when someone else does it, you get pissed off to no end?
Thing is with me, I trust too quickly. But once someone disappoints me, they can never be my friend anymore. Thing is with me, there's a difference between me getting angry at them or being disappointed with them. I can get over being mad, but when i'm disappointed... that's not something that's changeable.
My best friends are the people who have never disappointed me.
Either that or they're the people who have disappointed me, but were able to earn back my favor to them. I think those are the strongest.

My close friend Taco has been there for me on many moments and times of need. However, something tragic happened one time, and I ated him. Pretty freekin grateful friend I am right? ninja
Don't worry... though some of you sometimes look slightly edible... I won't eated you.
