Quote:
Just a short little piece I came up with while trying to force myself to write something.
He died.
The End.
"You can't write that, there's no story."
"No story, there's a story, he dies."
"Who's he?"
"It doesn't matter who he is, he dies."
"But nothing happens in the story."
"He dies, I'd call that a happening."
"But why would anybody read it when all he does is die?"
"Because it's concise and to the point."
"How is it to the point, he dies? What point is there?"
"The point is that he ends up dead, it isn't really that important how he got there."
"But that's what a story is all about, how the characters come to the resolution."
"Yes, but they all die eventually, why should I waste my time explaining away the inevitable?"
"Because that would make a good story."
"But we've already established that he is going to end up dead, haven't we?"
"Well, yes, but that still doesn't mean that it's a story."
"Why do I need a story to write the resolution, it just seems like added work?"
"Because you're supposed to."
"You're supposed to be helpful, but you're not doing that now are you?"
"That's it!"
"That's what?"
She stabbed him. She stabbed him with the scissors. Over and over she stabbed him with the scissors. She then leaned over his body, adjusted the keyboard to her liking and made a few changes.
He died, nobody really knows why.
The end.
