I have noticed lately that when I say Ghost Rider, most people immediately think of the movie/game of the same name. It's pretty sad though since Ghost Rider, like nearly all great heroes, started out in comic books. In fact, right now there's an ongoing series called Ghost Rider that's still going and has no signs of slowing down(The Trials and Tribulations part of the name of this guild is actually the name of the current story arch in the series). I know that there might be some who groan about the abrubt end of the 90s series when it "ended" with issue 93, but you might be interested to know that #94 was put out about three or four years ago along with the previous issue. It's called Ghost Rider Finale, and with good reason. Anyway, I want to ask you members, the three of you who were here when this started and the whole load of new ones who I accepted last night, which you think is better: The comics or the movie. I like the movie myself because first of all, it was what got me interested in Ghost Rider in the first place. Even though now I know that they altered the backstory, it's still a good watch. However, I have read Essential Ghost Rider volume 1 & 2, have all the issues of the current series and am now searching for all the ones I can get from the 90s. For me, I think the comics are better because there's much more story and the fact that at the end of one issue, it's a pretty safe bet that it's not over and there's a cliffhanger that will make you wait frustratingly for the next one. So my vote is for the comics. Of course, that's just me. So I ask you all now: Which is better, The Comics or the movie?

I liked the movie, the FX was great, stuck pretty much to what happen in the comic. the only thing I did not like about the movie was that the demons were beaten a little to quickly. GR really did not have any conflict with them.

I won't say how long I read comics. I loved them a long, long time. The Ghost Rider movie... that s**t was painful for me. I remember an old issue... some gang was getting ganked by a pissed off Ghost Rider. One threw a grenade at him and he threw it in his own mouth. It exploded in his skull and he was laughing like a lunatic... for my money a better presence attacj than seeing Godzilla staring down at you.
No, like Highlander II and after and many other abominations... Ghost Rider, the movie never happened... bad touch... *puts his fingers in his ears* LALALALALALA... NEVEEEER HAPPENNNED!!!

I love the movie and I have seen it many times. Even though I have seen it many times, I think it's still cool.
I haven't found a comic named Ghost Rider but I'm pretty sure it's also great.
I'm not saying I'm a number one fan of ghost rider but I even planned on entering the cosplay arenas as Johnny Blaze in Ghost Rider form and Carter Slade, the first ghost rider to outrun the devil.

The comic all the way, but thats cuz you can only fit so much in a movie and not ruin it.
