Who here is in love with Pendragon? Just the characters, the style, the story, the concept-everything about the series. It's almost over theough *tear* I was shocked when I didn't see a thread for this already, actually...

I have never read them, although I went to a promotional-party for one of them (that was quite a few years ago, maybe 6 or something). I've seen kids around school reading these recently- has another one come out?

Day 7 Overall 7
I read the first three about two years ago but never really got into them. I guess I felt like they were a bit young for me. I just wasn't that interested in the story, and only read the second and third because my friend kept raving about them.

There are actually 9 out now, Neptune, plus a handful of supplementary books...which I have ignored...

Day 13 Overall 13
Yeah, the ninth one came out pretty recently, right? I work in a bookstore and the series takes up a good chunk of a shelf in the young adult section. xd

I wish i could be so lucky. The only time my town has any Pendragon in is about a month after the latest book comes out...I have a sad life...

Day 17 Overall 17
I guess I'm pretty lucky then. lol
The 10th one comes out on May 12. I think it's the last one, although I'm not entirely positive.

It is the last one. He had this big rant in the beginning of Raven Rise about that being the penultimate book of the series.

Hah, I hope he didn't use the word 'penultimate' when he described it! Okay, if they're in the YA section, I probably don't want to read them. Thanks for letting my know =)

It's really only in the YA section because of A: The characters (they are 17-1 cool and B: The author is more well known in YA circles than anywhere else. They really are worth the time to read. I really reccomend them to people who like the Harry Potter series, as they are reminiscent to one another.

I think the series is fantastic, and that the world Machale created is (in my opinion) pretty original. My favorite character would have to hands down be Mark, and my least favorite would be Loor (I just hate her). I'm really looking forward to the last book, and will definitely be buying it the day it comes out in May.

Actually, I think Loor is one of the most hilarious characters of all, I love her.
SPOILER (Highlight to view! from two lines down!)
Okay, so all of the territories have already been revealed, right (First, second, and third earth, Denduron, Zadaa, Eelong, Veelox, Cloral, Quillan, and Ibara)? None of them seem to have spawned Saint Dane, so I have five theories on his origins.
1: He is Bobby's real father and it's going to be one of those Luke and Vader moments. ("No, that's impossible!") 2: He is from that weird place where the 9th book ended, so that would be his home territory. 3: Whatever mighty being created the flumes also made Saint Dane and the travelers. I feel this is most likely, as he has no ring, but can travel just as well as the other Travelers. 4: He's from Third Earth and is actually that kid that opened the massive flume with Mark's ring, so he came back to redo his past. 5: He made the flumes and stuff and is just testing all the travelers, or maybe just testing Bobby. So, what do you think?

Oh my gosh, my friend just recommended these books to me a few months ago and lent me the first five to read, and I instantly fell in love with them. I love the unique storytelling format and the way MacHale also spends a decent amount of time telling what's going on in Stony Brook with Mark and Courtney (at first I was afraid that those parts would be boring since they aren't really a part of the main action - boy, was I wrong). All the different worlds he creates are so imaginative and unique; I think my favorite so far is Veelox with all its technology. I am currently on Book Six: The Rivers of Zadaa, and I just can't wait to see how things work out - or don't work out. Anyway, this series definitely makes it on my favorites list :]

Pendragon is my favorite. My librarian recommened them to me once Black Water was released. I know Soldiers of Halla came out in May, but I haven't read Raven Rise yet because I have to wait and buy it. Being a fan, it's kind of hard trying to keep myself from reading spoilers on Raven Rise and SOH. But I got my friends hooked on it. My favorite thing about it is that it's told through a teen's perspective.

I've started reading the tenth book already. The truth is kind of shocking but makes sense in a strange way. I love Pendragon. It's amazing. I like all of the characters. Especially Loor. Can you imagine her about to battle a two-foot tall penguin?
