Actually we are reborn in similar vessals to our souls, they don't take well to constant re-adaptation, you share some physical characteristics of your last life, they do change slightly over time but you are more or less the same person you were last time around. (This is just what my people teach. unfortunately memory retrieval cant show you what you looked like)

I believe that we die when we are done with life,we've learned everything we are ment to learn. We return back to the All and then we move on to a new life,with new people,new lesson to be learned. Thats Wiccan beliefs.

I didn't believe in Reincarnation. Until I decided to do some research on the topic for a paper. Let's assume that Reincarnation is just a fable first. You have a growing number of people on the planet as time goes by. If these souls weren't being reincarnated into physical form. Then the increase over time. Would mean that more people are being born than are dieing out.
From the side that Reincarnation is a fact instead of a fable. The numbers of people/animals/etc. on the planet. Never seem to dip below a certain amount. In fact, the numbers have actually increased over time. Now, if these souls weren't being Reincarnated into a physical form. This cycle would be inconsistent. There would be times in history. Where the numbers would be at a significant low. Because if these souls weren't cycling through. The population would be solely dependent on new life being born.
The above is just my personal view on the subject. There are various beliefs in Reincarnation. From different religions. Some say that a human will always remain a human. As well as an animal always an animal. Some suggest that a person can become an animal in another life. Then, there are those. That go so far as to say trees and plants are also a form of Reincarnation.
I feel that the thought that a person. Can be Reincarnated into a plant or tree. Is due to a confusion of sorts. By the fact that plants and trees do have life. There is not however proof that plants and trees have a soul. This is assuming that a soul. Is the sum of a persons individual identity. It also assumes that when a person dies. They forfeit all memory of there past life. But still retain there identity.

Reincarnation: Rebirth
After the soul has rested, it decides when to reincarnate. Each soul choose who it will be and what lesson it will learn in its new lifetime. Once it has reincarnation, it doesn't remember what its lesson is, but must find out by living through all experiences of its new life.
If a soul doesnt wish to reincarnate right away , it may become a spirit guide. Or if it does not need to reincarnate, it will reunite with the Goddess.
We each have a job to do in this lifetime. We have things to learn and things to teach. If a young man dies, people often ask," Why did he have to go?" The Wiccan answer would be because his job was done. He'd learn what he needed to know and taught what he needed to teach. Sometimes the death of a young person can help the people around him or her to grow. In that repect, the death was not senseless. There was a reason for it.
After the person is dead, the effects of that life continue in the lives of everybody who was touched by that person and that person's action. The person's spirit moves on to the Summer Land and is reborn into a new life of spiritual and teachings.

I'm guessing that is a no. I'm not really sure what religions believe that actually is. All I know is different religions. Have different beliefs about how Reincarnation works. In that particular belief. There is even a mathematical formula. That is supposed to tell you what life you are on.
You take the month you were born. Devided by the day. So if you were born on May 24th. Then it would be 24/5 = 4. If the number ends up being higher than 9 however. The number is just nine. Since this is the last lifetime of a person before they are judged.

Are you saying that people's spirits are judged as in how their behaver was in their lives or what?
There is no "nine lives" in the Wiccan beliefs.
And there is no mathematical formula. As I said, the reincarnated soul does not remember its past life or what lesson it will learn in its new life.
And there is no limit to how many times a soul can reincarnate. If it feels there is still work to be done then it wont stop intill it feels that its job is done.
Thats the Wiccan belief.

Well, the Reincarnated soul not remembering there past life. Is actually something the two beliefs have in common. It's basically, the soul has those nine chances. To reach a certain level of purity before the soul is judged.
