Since a thread was started for EI brainstorming, I figured we should have one for general items brainstorming.
As in the other, feel free to post concept art.
And do say what the item is for, say for avatars, car,s home,s etc...
To kick us off.
For avatars...
A simple pipe wrench, heck, wrenches in general
An old school respirator, with a face mask with a hose running to an external filter or air tank in a messenger bag
An old style diving suit, with the big metal helmet with the porthole(s) sort of like in Bioshock
For cars:
A big wind up key for the roof
Cog shaped rims
Smokestacks for the roof
A boiler that sits in the truck bed or is mounted on the trunk
For homes:
A simple boiler.

Yeah, no offense to who created it, but, it's not very pleasing to look at.

Dani Grey I must have this diving gear. eek Good thing it went down in price, back when zOMG! started, it was 'round 50k. 4,500 for a brassy diving gear is pretty affordable.

Moon and Star what we need is an oil lamp to hold... unless we already have one? Like those old oil lanterns used on trains?

I can't stress enough how tired I am of hearing about steampunk mounts and backgrounds, blargh! Mounts and backgrounds are the worst kind of items, if you ask me, and I couldn't care less if they actually made them (in fact I'd be quite upset because there are so many better items that could be made!). But again, opinions and desires can't be argued against...
I would really like to see something along a "steampunk warrior" or "steampunk knight" sort of theme, although there are already a lot of warrior/knight type of items of various aesthetics, and Gaia artists have a tendency to make weapon items either unimpressive and boring, or overwhelming and distracting (or sometimes just plain unusable). I also wouldn't mind a nice big wrench or oil lamp, myself.
I have one of those Diver Suits, and they're... unwieldy at best.

I personally love backgrounds, the starry background from the Silent Night amongst a few other backgrounds actually look good, and mounts are kinda bad, but it's mostly because of anatomy. Still, a clockwork mount would still be epic, and you never know, they might make it look amazing.

Yeah, when thinking of a divving suit I was imagining the Rosies from Bioshock.

I'd like to see more Victorian clothing, to use as a base - like bustles! And ladies' hats!

I think they should have more victorian clothing firstly and then steampunk weapons like a deathray of course, and other interesting gadgets.
