If you check on GDA like the rest of us, you'll see that Green Day has released a new single from the 21CB album titled 'Know Your Enemy'. If you check the news regularly on that site, you'll also see that a new music video is coming out for it April 24th.
What do you guys think of this becoming a single from the album? Do you like it?
I personally don't really know how I feel about the song. The basic riff (excuse me if I used the wrong guitar term--I'm stupid) is really good, and it's starting to grow on me, but if it were any other band I probably would stop listening after the first time of hearing it. I have to agree with a lot of people who heard this song and say it's pretty repetitive. I don't mind that, except for the fact that the sound is too commercial for me and would have preferred them to drift away from that sound to develop it into something with a bit more depth. That, and I think they advertised KYE way too much before its release and made people expect something greater than what was received.

I thought it was pretty good. The song was catchy and I loved his voice. However, I have to agree with you. The song does sound way to commercial and also, it doesn't exactly sound like the other crap you hear from the radio where all the songs sound the same, but it's not like their old stuff that's unique and fresh. I think they waited too long to put out this album. They may have set their bar up a little to high.
