Ivy stood in the meadow, the Wildflower Meadow looking around at the different colors, breathing in the fresh scents, and generally taking in the beauty of the nature around her. She did however shudder away from the scene when a bee buzzed past her ear. She flinched and retreated to the shade . It was steadily growing darker and darker and she couldn't help but smile about the fact that no one was there but here. THANK GODS.
She looked back out over the scenery before her, everything was calm, it was almost eerie, haunted somehow. She looked down at her hooves, as if she was somehow interested in her plants growing around her legs, when really she was a little scared. Fore some reason, despite the fact that her Guardian was in theory a ghost, she kept expecting some blood thirsty spirit to pop up out of nowhere and bring her back to it's grave.
She shivered but try to play it off as if she was cold, when really the night was calm and warm and perfect.

Paying little attention to his surroundings, Driven slowly picked his way through the grasses of the meadow, eyes concentrated on his hooves. He was in strange territory, but that was no excuse to trip over a rock from his own negligence. Once he had come to a stop, and was satisfied with his stance, only then did he look up to passively take in the scene.

He had never been so far from the mountains before, and the air was curiously warm, even after the sun had set. He didn't feel comfortable around so much greenery, and the bold, complicated colors of the landscape were nearly enough to bring on a headache. But the strange apparition that kept following him around had insisted that he needed to see more of the world if he wanted to "find himself". He had tried to point out the illogical nature of that phrase, but that had made the ghost insist all the more, oddly enough.

Watching the sky for a long moment, Driven came to the decision to stop his wanderings for the night. He peered around the broad meadow and its intricate patterns, try to judge whether there was a suitable place to rest.

Ivy lifted her head slightly and felt her eyes widen. "HOLY CRAP!!!" D: She cried out slightly unnerved as there... in the distance, stood a bloodied white shroud, almost like an apparition...
She backed away slightly, slowly, attempting not to draw attention to herself. As far as her guardian had ever told her about evil things, they always went for the bad ones first, and as far as Ivy knew... she was one of the bad ones. She chewed nervously at her lip as she backed up and behind a tree hoping to whatever gods there were that it hadn't seen her.

As Driven was selecting a bit of brush to settle down near, he paused as a sound echoed across the clearing. It was almost as if... someone was swearing? He weighed curiosity against caution, but in the end felt that a person yelling was already distracted, so perhaps he wouldn't draw too much attention. Besides, it might be nice to meet someone... he'd been quite alone in the past weeks. Scanning over the ground, he picked his way over the grass, headed towards the noise.

There was little light to be had from the stars above, as Driven stared out into the shadows. He thought he spotted the faintest hints of movement, but couldn't be sure. He stared towards it unblinking, waiting for more to go on. After some time with no change, he peaceably knelt to lay down on the grass, legs tucked under him comfortably. He watched for a breath longer, then turned and began to preen his feathers.

Ivy stared around the tree, cuatiously, afraid to take a breath or snap a twig, so maybe it wasn't a ghost... She stared at it... the herla, she coudln't decide on its sex not yet... not this far away... well not at dark at least. She held her breath for a moment, wondering if they'd seen her or not When they began to preen themselves, she decided that it was most definantly not.
she let out a breath, a small breath. Sure, atleast now she knew that they weren't a ghost, but that didn't allow her to forget about the fact that they were white with red blotches of unknown substances covering their body. She looked around nervously, for once a little upset that she was alone in the forest... wait a minute. She snarled low in her throat. How dare someone make her afraid in her own territory.
She felt her lips pull back, baring her teeth, not nessecarily in a threatening way, but rather, in an annoyed way. She walked through the woods, getting closer and closer to the white Herla. She stared at them for a moment and figured out.
"Oh, so you are a male." She said out loud, laughing on the inside with a completely serious tone in her voice and on her face. "I almost couldn't tell for a moment."

Driven paused to pull a particularly itchy feather before he looked up at the noise. It was an approaching Herla, a female by the looks of things. And she was laughing. His nose twitched in bland puzzlement; she must find something funny, but he was no good at humor. He liked a good pun or a bit of wit, but jokes and irony tended to sail past his ears.

That little impulse that drove him to meticulousness started niggling in his head. Here was a stranger, a bold one, approaching quickly, but the little impulse kept insisting that he hadn't finished preening yet. You can't leave a job half done, after all. He tried to ignore it, and nodded to the newcomer.

"Yes," he answered, to her question that really wasn't one. "I've come from the mountains, traveling down into these warmer lands to search for..." he wrinkled his muzzle, "... well, I'm not sure what yet. Myself, I think. Or that's what I was told, at least."

She was still amused, so when the male before her told her what they were there for, she raised an eyebrow, and the side of her lips, almost in a smirk, but it looked more condescending. "To find yourself? hmm, deep, I suppose." She shook her head when he said he was told to come here to find himself. such a simpleton. "Well, you won't 'find yourself' by following others orders. Do you feel that you need to be found? Or were you perfectly content with the life you lead?" She picked up on that fact that he'd come from the mountains and she rolled her eyes, tossing her hair in an annoyed fashion.
"Geeze, what is it with you mountain types? You can't find what you want up in the mountains. God awful if you ask me. Not that you did, but then again, I suppose it doesn't matter, whether you asked me or not.." She stopped and shook her head. She was rambling, and walking while she was rambling, not a very attractive thing to do.
"That is... what I meant to say is, I have a female friend that did the same thing as you, left the mountains to find herself. She found a mate, and has a good life now, but the problem is, everyday she regrets leaving the mountains where she comes from."
