So when the League finally debuts, I'm going to need Gym Leaders ready to go. If you'd like to become a gym leader, please PM me with the below info and I'll add you to the waiting list. To determine the elite four, all people who want to become one will compete in a tournament to decide who is the best of the best. The winner will be the first Champion, and the four runner-ups will be the First Elite Four.Please PM me the following info in order to become a gym leader:
Gaian Username: (Self-explanatory)
Gym Leader Name: (What you want your leader name to be)
Link to profile: (A url to your Gaia profile)
Wanted badge: (Please list 3 badges in order of preference)
Other: (Anything else you want to tell me, ask me, etc.)
**In order to be a Gym leader, or a participant in the league, you must have a DS, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platiunm, and wifi access. Also, your party does not have to completely be the type listed on the badge, but it must be predominantly that type, and/or those types of moves. Example: the Blaze gym leader could have an Infernape, Arkanine, and a Machoke. The Machoke is a fighting pokemon, but it knows flame thrower; making it qualified to be used in the gym. Also, rules will be made for the overall league later on, but Gyms are able to have their own rules. Also, Legendary pokemon are banned from this League unless we are having a special event that allows them in. There will be more pokemon usage restrictions at a later date.**

These are the standard battle rules. They may have to be updated, but this is generally what the league is going to be using.
No Ubers
(If you are curious what the ubers are, PM me and I will send you a list.)
Sleep Clause
You may only put one Pokemon to sleep at a time. Once that Pokemon wakes up, you may put it or another Pokemon to sleep again. But again, only one Pokemon on their team can be asleep at one time. Pokemon asleep due to the effects of Rest or Effect Spore do NOT count towards that limit.
Species Clause
Each Pokemon must be of a different species. Different Pokedex number means it's a different species.
Evasion Clause and OHKO Ban
Sometimes grouped together as "No DT/OHKO". The following moves are banned:
- Double Team
- Minimize
- Fissure
- Guillotine
- Sheer Cold
- Horn Drill
Everything else, including Sand Attack, the item Bright Powder and the Sand Veil ability, are legal.
Non-Standard Rules that are sometimes used
The following rules aren't included as standard. However, they are quite popular among many users and make for a different style of play. If they are stated alongside the standard rules, remember to abide by them.
Item Clause
By far the most common non-standard rule, item clause states that each Pokemon on the team must be holding a different item from one another. So no double leftovers or focus sash. Items that do the same thing but aren't the same, such as leftovers and black sludge, are allowed.
No "Hax" Items
The following items are banned:
- Brightpowder
- Quick Claw
- Focus Band
- King's Rock
Self-KO Clause
This mostly only applies to tournaments. It's used to break ties. If both players are down to their last Pokemon and one uses a move that kills itself, such as Explosion, Self-Destruct, Destiny Bond, or Memento, the trainer who used that move is considered the loser in the match.
Freeze Clause
Only used in a controlled environment such as Pokemon Battle Revolution, Shoddy Battle, or the upcoming Competitor. Only one Pokemon may be frozen at the same time as another. Once one unfreezes, that Pokemon or another may be put back to sleep.

I'd like to add that all Gym leaders are able to add non-standard rules to the standard rules during a battle with them.
All gym leaders, please post a list of rules in the journal portion of your profiles.

An uber is a pokemon that is unfair to use in battle. (Most of which are legendaries, but not all legendary are ubers) Endless Darkside has a list of all pokemon that are considered ubers.
