What do you guys think of him? I haven't seen any of his movies (30 Days of Night, Hard Candy)
Anyway, Summit officially signed him on. I'm not sure I like this whole "let's-have-a-new-director-every-movie-Harry-Potter-style" thing...

he directed 30 days of night? wow this should be interesting then. that was a very good movie. i own it actually. but a very dark style of movie, even besides the fact it's at night and that was also a vampire movie (although very different from our lovely cullen family, these were primitive things, more monster than human). i'm kind of excited now... ^ ^

This has got to be interesting.

Well, I've never seen any of his movies (I am completely anti-horror movie), but if they signed him, he must be good enough.
The only reason they're having three different directors is because Catherine Hardwick quit because there wasn't enough time for her, and Chris Weitz will be in post-production while they're filming the third movie. They're not trying to screw around with us, that's just they things turned out.

So they hired another. well that makes a lot more sense, i had no idea they wanted eclipse out by june of next year! better for us, i guess! haha. so, im guessing they're still planning on filming new moon and eclipse back to back?

i didn't know that they were comming out that quick... wow thats crazy. i feel bad for everyone that has to do things through them all, (like the actors and stuff who have no choice but to be in them all). well, at least they'll be really earning their pay huh?

If this is anything like 30 Days of Night and Hard Candy...jeeze, teenybopper audiences are going to hate Eclipse. I love both of those movies, so I'm excited now.

I, too, thought David Spade.

I liked both those movies.
30 days was kinda scary.
Hard Candy was an interesting movie.
I know I'm going to enjoy New Moon.

i know that they're going for a darker feel for the series then the books (part of the reason Rob is making Edward a bit more of a hurt person than a over protective, sarcastic being) and this director would be perfect for it. bring some Pizzaz ^ ^ i'm really excited as long as the producers don't reign him in too much. that wouldn't be cool.
