Anyone a fan? Has anyone seen it? It's a Rock Opera - so it's sung the entire way through.
I love this film. I'm a big fan of Anthony Stewart Head, Sarah Brightman, Paul Sorvino and Ogre. I've been supporting the grass-roots feel and community of this film since last July. The community is amazing, the movie has a gritty feel and wow at the concepts!
Let me just say... the only reason I found out about this is through Anthony Stewart Head's IMDb page. I was looking up his line for Sweeney Todd and saw the link for this new project, post-production. "What ho? What praytell is this?" I'd had sugar that day. Don't judge. XD
If you like rock, over-the-top villains, distopian futuristic films, you're gonna love this. Not only that, but all the wardrobe and such are Gothic, almost Victorian. It's a very interesting mesh of the past and the future.
The themes of the movie touch on more than your average horror/future film. There are touches of a social commentary on the use of cosmetic surgery as a tool to show elitist separatism, the use of drugs to escape reality.
Or you could just be like me and watch ASH get all dolled up in Leather and hack a few people to pieces to Repo some unpaid organs.
There's a little bit of everything in this movie - a story of family, dark comedy, twisted villains, drama, and a big finish at the - where else?! - Genetic Opera!
