I've really be on a roll creation-wise, so yet again another rp from me! XD

It's based off of a PS1 game...that most of you prbably haven't played before....it's called Battle Hunter....and was made by Agetec....I believe....

Basically the Storyline is as follows....

In the near future, mankind survives a third ?Great War," but just barely. The remaining scientists who are dedicated to bringing humanity back from the brink of extinction need vital information and special items that are stored in the ruins of former high-tech cities. Too dangerous for normal troops, these missions require the use of highly trained mercenaries code-named: ?Hunters." These combat veterans face the terrors of a mutated underworld while competing with other Hunters for the chance to bring back the prized relics of the past!

In the Next post I'll give I'll provide the system, the stat's, and the now-how for the rp to work! ^^

Here is the link to where all character profiles will go. If you post them here I will give you a warning, and ask one of the mods to move it to the appropriate topic...

Okay....with this game there are stats.....and plan and simple, it's easy to understand their use.

Strength
Defense
Movement
HP

And for s**t's and giggles I'm adding an extra stat;

MP

Here are the basic uses for each stat:

Strength- Adds to the amount of damage you inflict during combat.
Defense- Reduces the amount of damage inflicted upon you during battle.
Movement- This adds to the movement roll you recieve, increasing the distance you can travel.
HP- Common sense....you can only recieve so much damage before you collapse...
MP- A new random stat I wanted to throw in...each point of mp can be thrown towards extra damage with an attack, or reducing damage when you're defending. Also, for the fun of it, if you linger with 0 MP for too long you'll either collapse from Fatigue, or Go insane for a few turns, attacking friend and foe alike...

Stat Distribution system:

When you obtain 1000 EXP, which isn't too difficult you can add one point to your stats, and depending on how many points you add to each stat affects how much you have....

STR- Every point= +1 STR
DEF- Every 2 points= +1 DEF
MOVE- Every 3points= +1 MOVE
HP- Every point= +3 HP
MP- Every point= 5 MP

Now for the Character Creation System....

Name
Gaia Name
Age
Sex
Race *optional*
Weapon(s) of Choice: Maximum of two weapons can be equipped in the beginning, and as time progresses you'll find, or can purchase newer stronger weapons. But if you want, for personal reasons, you can have 4 or five weapons max in your locker, and switch them with each mission....your choice.
Appearance
Bg *optional*

Stats:
You have 11 points to distribute to your character....distribute them as you see fit, but you can't start the rp until you distibute all 11 points!

STR
DEF
MOVE
HP *Automatically start off with 10 HP*
MP *Automatically start off with 5 MP*

Traps:

No matter where you go, there will always be a dungeon that has a trick or two, as well as common/uncommon traps. Here are a few traps that you'll encounter throughtout your adventures...

Leg Damage- These traps will disable your Movement Bonus throughout the entire mission, unless of course you have a crutch with you, which cancels out that effect.

Stun Trap- A large peice of debris falls from the ceiling and knocks you upside your head, stunning you for one turn.

Paralysis- Your character steps on an electric panel, and Zap! Next thing you know, you can't attack or defend for an entire turn...

Damage- You happen across a trip wire and end up getting stuck in a massive explosion launching you from your feet and suffer from a decent amount of damage.

Next up....mission actions.

There are four basic actions;

Move
Attack
Rest
Search

Okay for the most part you'll be in the 'dungeon' searching for whatever item you were hired to find. So with each post you roll a D6 for movement. Whatever you get add with your movement stat;

Example:

Kage rolls D6, gets a 5 + his plus 2 movement stat = 7....

So in the end, Kage would be able to travel 70 yards in any direction.

Then say you encounter a BRO (a flan-type of monster) you enter combat.

The Attacker has only the option to attack (duh), and the Defender has 4 options to choose from:

Counter Attack -Counter after you survive the attack.
Defend- Doubles your defense roll.
Surrender- Surrender one item of your choice in order to escape (when figthing other people...won't work on monsters...)
Escape- Add your 2 D6 rolls + your movement stat, if you win you escape successfully, if you lose your defense drops to zero and suffer the full force of an attack

In the next post I'll provide examples for the combat system....

Here is where I'll be sampling each situation for combat...

Okay....the Attacker Rolls 2 D6's and so does the Defender. After the rolls are made the Attacker adds his Strength Stat, and the Defender adds his defense stat.

Example:

Kage shoots BRO....

Rolls 2 D6's Get's a 2, and a 5...+ his 6 STR stat equals 13. BRO rolls two dice gets a 1, and a 3...+ it's 1 DEF stat = 5...

Thus BRO suffers 8 Damage and has 10 HP out of a max of 18HP.

Now there are two different results from this one action...BRO could've defended, or counterattacked....in this case it countered...

COUNTER:

BRO rushes towards Kage and 'dives' at him metamorhisizing into a spire, in hopes of implaing the Hunter...

Rolls 2 D6, gets a 2, and another 2 ((In this case a 'critical' would occur...and if the critical attack inflicts even one point of damage then the character will suffer from a 'panic' status, which I'll explain later...))

Anywho;

4 + BRO's 2 Attack stat = 6....

Kage Rolls 2 D6, and gets a 6, and another 6 + His 3 Def Stat = 15....

6-15= -9....thus, no damage is inflicted and the panic status isn't inflicted...

DEFEND

Now, say the Bro defended the scenario would've changed...

Rolls 2 D6's Get's a 2, and a 5...+ his 6 STR stat equals 13. BRO rolls two dice gets a 1, and a 3...+ it's 1 DEF stat = 5...((when you defend your defense roll doubles....thus BRO got an 8 + it's 1 DEF stat...it still gets hit, but damage is considerably less....))

13 - 8 = 5 Damage to the BRO's HP...thus 13/18 HP remains...

Next up....

Say it was the BRO that initially struck out at Kage...there's one other option he could use in combat....

FLEE

Example:

BRO lashes out at Kage, and Kage prepares to flee from combat, leaping back in hopes of avoiding the blow...

Kage and BRO roll 2 D6's

Kage rolls a 5, and a 2 + His Movement Stat ex. 2 = 9

BRO rolls a 3, and a 3 + it's 2 STR stat = 8...

Kage escapes unscathed....

But say he lost the roll...what would happen then?

They both re-roll and there's one catch....Kage can't add his DEF stat to his roll. He takes the full force of the blow...

Ex. Kage stumbles on a piece of debris, and the BRO slams into him, full-force...

BRO rolls a 6 and a 1 + 2 STR = 9

Kage rolls a 5 and a 2...he doesn't add his DEF Stat...= 7....thus he takes 2 damage....

SURRENDER

Next up....say you have to roleplayer's duking it out...and one wants to surrender an item in order to escape....here's an example:

Kage is overwhelming Bob....Bob chooses to surrender an item of HIS CHOICE to him....he tosses him a diamond and teleports to safety...

DEFEAT

Here's another example....Say Kage KO's Bob....what happens then? Well Kage gets to choose from Bob's inventory what item he wants. Only ONE item though....

That about cover's most of the actions in combat....

PANIC

As I mentioned earlier, if you get hit by a critical and at least one point of HP damage is inflicted your character Panic's for one turn, and is taking under control by one of the RP mod's for a turn....

Anything could happen....they could send you to attack someone, make you rest....or you could just run away in fear of the adversary that made you panic...it's their choice....

Okay...for this post I'll be providing the info when your character has to rest from fatigue, or when they're searching for their target...

REST

Obviously, as time passes your character will eventually recieve a wound or two from an enemy. And the best way to recover your HP? Rest for a turn....it's the only action you can take during that turn, you cannot move then rest, you can't attack someone then rest, and you can't search then rest....understand?

When you rp that you're gonna rest all you have to do is roll 2 D20's...and the total results will heal your HP...

SEARCH

Obviously your goal is to search for a certain item and return it to your client...so here's the bascis for searching. After you Move, or finish battle, you can search the area for items. All you have to do is declare you're searching around for anything, roll a D20 and whatever your result, will affect what you find.

The mod's can create a list from 1-20 and list what someone finds when they get that number. Once someone gets say, number 3, no one else can get number 3....and so on and so forth. Sometimes the search events can land you into trouble....say if you roll a 14 or a 20 you have to face a BRO....if you get that number a monster will emerge from where ever the DM desires, and thus you have a monster to contend with....enjoy!^^

Of course if you land on the lucky number and get the item you're searching for head back to the waypoint and return back to base. The Mission will end and everyone will return to their appropriate base...

Now for the rest of the simple stuff....

As a Hunter you're expected to go out and find certain objects or even people for your clients. The objects could range from Disks, to machine parts, even runaway patients....

This post'll be reserved for the upcoming missions. I'll post those that are up for grabs, those that are reserved, those that have requirements, and missions that have already been taken/finished....

For the most part, everyone will participate in the same mission, but I might change my mind later
