I am probably the biggest InuYasha fanwhore out there. I have keychains, t-shirts, wristbands, posters, calendars, books, 5 seasons of it in box sets, all the movies, and every videogame released for the Playstation or PS2 in the U.S. NOT TO MENTION MY ADORABLE SESSHOMARU AND INUYASHA PLUSHIES. <3
I definitely enjoyed the show. I don't watch it all that much anymore because Bleach and Naruto pretty much own my soul now...*pimpslappedbythemainstreamhaters* But, when I do watch it, it's like "ZOMG, YAY, SANGO!" XD
BUT, InuYasha can never take the place of Sailor Moon.
I absolutely fell in LOVE with that show. I think I was maybe 6 when I first watched it, fell head over heels for it, and asked my mom to get me this awesome Sailor Mercury doll (Which my sister promptly cut the hair off of two weeks later.) Before I knew them as MAMO-CHAN AND USAGO-CHAN. (XD) I knew them as Serena and Darien...and then I saw the uncensored version. *cough* XD
SO, the point emerges. What is the anime that you first fell in love with?

...xD; amazingly enough, I didn't know I was an anime fan until the 7th grade..
When I was little I watched Sailor Moon, Pokemon, Digimon [ >D Digimon totally pwns Pokemon btw] and of course Dragon Ball~ And before that, I watched Speed Racer [ >D hellz yus! That's old school anime right there!] Until I met my friends in the 7th grade though, I had never heard the term "anime". I just referred to all the shows as simply cartoons like all the other shows on Cartoon Network [>o>; back when cartoon network actually showed only cartoons]]
=D so, InuYasha was actually the first anime I consciously watched~ I quite enjoyed it when I watched it back then.. but looking back now I believe it to be poorly written, and filled with Mary Sues/Gary Stues ...much like watching the Dragon Ball series and seeing how lame the plotline actually was...

XD Yes, InuYasha's plotline is crap. I agree with you one hundred percent on that. Every time Naraku gains more power, InuYasha magically pulls some new technique for the Tetsuiga out of his a**. It's like "Wut, you have a new barrier!? WELL GUESS WHAT I HAS..*digs in pants* (CoughjarofdirtCOUGH)" XD And Kikyo just REALLY needed to die. And stay dead.
And about the whole 7th grade thing, SAME HERE. XD My friend Kayla introduced me to "anime", even though I'd previously been a Sailor Moon and Pokemon junkie, and had no idea that they weren't "cartoons". :3

The greatest thing you'll ever learn... XD w00t! I am not alone!
^^" yeah... hero's in stories tend to do that... and then there's the fact that Kagome's time traveling adventures never have any affect on the time line. For example: when Sango's whole clan is killed due to Naraku (over a jewel shard (which got there via Kagome) ), millions of people from Kagome's time who shared them as ancestors would have simply ceased to exist... yet nothing like that ever occurs through out the show.
8'D I wanna go back and watch Digimon now... I really loved that show... no matter how corny it was ..is to love, and be loved in return

Digital Monsters vs. Pocket Monsters. XD I still think that the original Pokemon owned Digimon...but that's just me. I was a die-hard poke-geek. I had stamps, every movie known to man (at that time, because at that time, only two movies had been released...ahh the good ol' days) any card that the neighbor kid had doubles of cuz I was too poor to buy my own, an Ash Ketchum beach blanket, about thirty little stuffed Pikachus, a beanbag chair, and a Meowth keychain...until it got blown up in my microwave...

lol... I didn't start watching Pokemon until after it had been out for a while. I watched Digimon from the beginning though~
Personally, I think the concept of Pokemon is rather cruel. You find some creature out in the wild, bludgeon the poor thing until it's barely conscious, then capture it and make it fight for you so that you can win competitions. Honestly it's no better than dog/chicken/[w/e else people use] fighting sweatdrop
Whereas in Digimon, a few chosen kids were sent to a different world to join forces with the native creatures and save their world.

The greatest thing you'll ever learn... xd I've always wondered what happens to pokemon when they're put in a pokeball... I mean, are they even conscious? They turn into that weird red energy looking stuff when it sucks them up... so I'm really not sure. ..is to love, and be loved in return

You would think that all that changing from a form of energy to a little furry creature would put alot of stress on the body of the poor little pokemon. OH MY GOD...I JUST HAD AN EPIPHANY! PERHAPS MR. SCOTT IS BEAMING THEM INTO DEEP SPACE VIA POKEBALL!

I think it was a mixture of Pokemon, Digimon and Sailor Moon that got me into anime. Though when I was younger, my mom really didn't really approve of me watching it. Now that I'm almost going to be 20 years old, she really doesn't care. lol
