Quite Some Time Ago: Departed Junon & arrived to Midgar.
Hello, Hermes! I hope you don't mind me staying with you!
===
A Little While After That: Met Felicity at the Chocobo Farm.
...oh yes, also discovered Dad sent me two chickobos. WHAT? MADNESS!

Full Name: Haruki Trisc Walling Nickname: "Hawk"
Race: Human Gender: Male Birthplace: Junon
Age: Old ENOUGH! (eighteen [18]) Height: 5'8" (five feet, eight inches) Weight: Heavy enough to SQUISH YOU! (152 lbs)
Hair Color: Dusky lavender Eye Color: Pale blue
===
This is me!
I'm not what most people would call intimidating -- unless you're a hamburger, of course! -- but I think I'm a decent enough guy, all around. (And who would want to disagree, honestly? Look at this face!) But Hermes said I ought to spend more time talking about myself in my bio than trying to win friends and influence enemies, so enough of that.
I like taking things apart and putting them back together. My favorite color's blue -- though Hermes says it's not blue, it's cerulean, but what does he know? I can cook and sort laundry and rewire a radio, and, if given enough time, I could probably sew on a patch, though I've only tried once and then gave up. I've always thought solid-colored socks are boring, so my socks are rainbow striped, and Hermes keeps trying to throw them out.
I left home for the big city to try to get into the Turks, because I can't spend the rest of my life doing nothing, and the dormancy of that would drive me mad, anyway. I'm actually not sure if I was supposed to say that -- was there something in all of those applications about confidentiality? I didn't really pay much attention to the fine print -- but I guess that's life. The end.

I... I really don't know what this is.
I mean, I know it's a chocobo plushie, but... why?
Apparently Hermes thought it'd make a good welcoming gift, so, uhm... thank you, Hermes.
(What in the world were you smoking, man?)Weapons The Hawk's TalonA simple length of metal, sharpened and honed to an edge. Roughly two and a half feet in length, and roughly three inches across, it isn't the most technological weapon, but it fits his needs well enough. It isn't hilted, but there are several layers of off-white packing tape wrapped around the edge that functions as a "handle"... although they are fraying now; there's a name written on the tape as well, but it's too faded and smudged to read. Materia Slots: Two; both empty. Desert Eagle Handgun (Magnum Research, Inc.; ShinRa-Issued)A nondescript, single-action semi-automatic handgun, capable of holding eight rounds and intended for new recruits. It has certainly seen better days, although it remains smoothly functional. With a barrel of six inches and a rough length of ten inches overall, it weighs in at almost four pounds, and it isn't something Haruki likes to use very often -- perhaps because of the weight, which he finds somewhat ungainly. Materia Slots: None.

Since I don't have a camera, I don't take a whole lot of pictures... though, when I found out that I (for some unfathomable reason) now own a couple of chocobo chicks, I figured I ought to have some kind of records!
So I went and asked around at the Farm and one of the 'hands there dug up a photograph of the clutch, before the chicks hatched. I never knew they were so... so spotty.

 Mrs. Joanna Walling. My mother. She died when I was young, so I can't remember her very well.
===
Mr. Caleb Walling. My father; a very, very good man all around, although he has his flaws. Case in point: a habit of writing letters while "under the influence" and then mailing them off anyway, which has resulted in some quite... interesting... correspondences. Ha, ha. Also bought me two chickobos that I'm sure we couldn't afford...
===
Mr. Hermes Walling. My cousin, possibly a few times removed; Dad's nephew. I'm staying with him until I can find my own place -- whenever THAT will be -- and it's not so bad. He has a terrible accent and it's hard to talk to him sometimes, and he seems to think I need training in the ways of woman-wooing, but otherwise he's all right. Makes excellent meatloaf and can be bribed with exotic blends of coffee.

Some Random Anti-Junon Tanned Guy. Met him at the Chocobo Farm. He was talking to some girl; he yelled about Junon sucking and... well... don't like him. Whoever he is. Blah.
Felicity. Met her at the Chocobo Farm. She got to see me throwing a fit about the Random Anti-Junon Tanned Guy (see above), and then she helped me find my chickobos, which I didn't know at the time that I had. Spectacularly bungled trying to ask her out. Woe. (Maybe Hermes was right...)

Wicked, evil little chickobo of Death. No, really. I'm serious.
She's a lot smarter than her brother, from what I can tell. She's conniving and she's cunning, even though I wasn't aware chickobos could be either of those things... she's nasty unless you're giving her food, and I think, if they're not careful down at the Farm, she's going to figure out a way to escape her stall and wreak havoc on the Planet. I am dead serious.
Creepy little bird, really.

Now Panzu... Panzu's my type of chickobo.
Sure, he's not too smart, and sure, he'll run from you if you stand up too quickly (whereas his sister just flings herself at your ankles and tries to eat you), and BOY can he run FAST... but he's my type of chickobo, really.
He's sweet when he isn't running away or trying to keep Pankan out of trouble, and he likes having his beak rubbed, and he doesn't mind when I scratch the back of his head. (Petting birds feels so weird! All those prickly little feathers!)
Also has a soft spot for chocolate, it seems.

 OOC Rules of Conduct - Everything read in this journal should be treated as metagame information! That means that, while you as a player may be aware of what's gone on in journal entries or roleplays, your character will not be, unless they were informed or involved... or if they've successfully snitched Haruki's journal. For shame! - Please do not post in this journal without prior permission! Unless you're on the Invitationally Unbound list, please ask for permission before posting anything of any sort in this journal. (I do have some grasp of organization, you know.) A simple PM or IM will do, and I promise I won't bite your head off; in fact, I'll probably be thrilled! - Make an effort to remain literate! I'm aware that typoes happen, and that people make mistakes, and not everyone knows the English language like the back of their hand. That's perfectly all right, but please try to be reasonable. - Make an effort to remain in-character! I'd like to think that this goes without saying, but just in case... even if you're just dropping off a gift, try to do so in-character. On that note, gifts are encouraged acceptable! If you're not on the Invitationally Unbound list, however, please seek permission first. A List of Those Invitationally Unbound The following may post at any time, although I request that they remain in-character:
I. All other FFVII:RttP Players; II. D-chan Spiro (<3)
