The greatest thing you'll ever learn...
Alright, topic seems to state itself.
What do you think of the Anime/manga/movies/all of the above?
Personally, I feel in love with the series from the first episode I watched.
Only to have my heart ripped out by the end of the episode because of
that poor nice inspector lady's death. Still, I loved it and thought it was
one of the most amazing and suspenseful shows I've ever seen. And such
an interesting concept.
So I watch the series as I do all my other anime, (which, if you've read
my post in the other threads, you know is not an adequate way of sticking
to a storyline) and I actually get to the end of the series. And, to be honest,
I seriously didn't expect it. Then afterward, to fill in the gaps i missed, I watched all the episodes from the beginning, since CN played the series like 6 times through already.
After a while, I decide that my favorite characters are:
Rem (the white shinigami chick), Watari (the old guy L
uses to talk through and who works with him... he was
seriously cool, reminded me of Alfred, Batman's Butler<3)
, L (even though he seriously creeps me out he's still funny)
, and Matsuda (because he's a poor helpless screw up and I
find that adorable and undeniably likable).
the latest episode I saw was one that I had missed before... =_=;
[and though i'm sure just about everyone has heard this, here
come the spoiler tags. beware the spoilers~! ...ooo~...]

They ALL. FAWKING. DIED! ALL OF THEM!! (er.. 'cept Matsu)
In less than a minute ALL BUT ONE of my favorite characters
were exterminated one after the other!! =_=; stupid effing show

Ahhh Death Note. <3 I loved that series, short as it was. Though...I think that it started sucking after *SPOILER* L died...after Mello and Near were brought in, the show just kinda lost its appeal...until Matt was killed though. That was undeniably the coolest death in the show....well...besides Mikami's...I'll admit..his death was pretty righteous.*END*
My favorite character is L, simply because he's so goddamn eccentric. XD No shoes, no healthy food, no problems. x3 It's strange because you start to wonder how someone who is so strange can be so sexy. XD I think I truly fell in love with him in the episode where he was making tea and flying his first helicopter at the same time. That just TOTALLY won me over.
I HATE Light Yagami. More than I hate Sasuke Uchiha, and that's really saying something.

because there was no warning, and I wouldn't want
to ruin the series for anyone who hasn't seen it yet ]]

lol... I actually really love Light.
He's an amazing character, and
such an evil genius.
I was actually
hoping that he would win in the end,
hence why I was surprised by the ending
D: Near was frikin' creepy... I can't stand that thing..
and I still haven't got through all those episodes, so I
don't really know anything about him or Melo... I simply
recognize their existence.

that was in... the last? maybe second to last episode, right?
I dunno... it was towards the end.. I remembered seeing it anyway... i think
^^ just wanted to make sure nobody else had it spoiled for them~
@Kiua: thanks... i figured it was the easiest way to make a spoiler tag on
Gaia.. and I've always been behind on story lines, so I tend to come
across spoilers quite often. I figured I'd try and help prevent that a little~
kinda like the Harry Potter series... ~*~*spoiler*~*~I knew that Siruis and Dumbledore died before I had even started the 5th book...~*~end~*~ mostly because my friends told me things without knowing i hadn't read that far yet... and then someone mentioned that "a poor innocent minor character" whom they loved died in the beginning of the 7th book and it sent me into a frenzy because all I could think while reading was "omg! is it this person!? DX ohgodpleaseno!" ~*spoiler again*~ [warning: if you haven't read the series and curiosity is making you want to take a peak, I highly advise against looking at this spoiler.. it will kill you]...then I figured out it was Hedwig... ;A; wtf did that owl do to deserve death?!...little did I know that was only the beginning... >>; when she proceeded to kill off just about EVERY SINGLE SUPPORTING CHARACTER I just about burned the book right then... ;-; AND DOBBY.... I just about cried when he died... I mean seriously! what's with all the pointless deaths of the innocents?!~*end*~ ..is to love, and be loved in return

This is a hard decision! I usually waver between Mello and L. In the end, I pick Mello because of his role in the end of the anime/ manga.
Even so, I wouldn't say that L takes second, I would say that I like them about the same amount. It's just that theres no "Pick Two" option on the polls.

And I too liked Melo in the end... but I can't remember why I ended up liking him so much. Maybe I'll remember when I see the next episode. ..is to love, and be loved in return

anyways L is my favorite he's mysterious and creepy and puts way too much sugar in his coffee. he also kicks light in the face everytime they fight twisted
