today a nine year old kid brought a gun to school, but it was only fired once, in the open air, because a teacher handled him. for some reason I'm somewhat proud that a kid close me( I don't know him or anything but it was only like 2 hours away) actually brought a gun to school. of course it's not a good thing this kid felt the need to use a gun, it's not like I think this is something positive, but I'm not afraid or anything.

Why did he bring a gun to school? And why does that make you proud?

Proud.
I don't think that word means what you think it means. ninja
@song: I think... I'm not sure though, I've only heard of this through friends - and briefly - that he was bullied in school. Probably going to get revenge or something.

And why does that make you proud? http://www.dagbladet.no/2009/04/28/nyheter/skyteepisoder/skytevapen/innenriks/5967866/ they say he was mobbed, but who knows. I'm wondering about that, but I'm not happy. it's like, It's good because I know it went good, nobody died, and he follows his emotions. and of course, I hope he gets the help he needs, the way it works for him. oh, and we get more strictly laws for how to keep weapons.

I think a way for me to say it will be, it makes this world seem more alive. when something that could have ended terribly, ended better. it forces people to think.

... You're glad he brought the gun to school and could have killed several innocent people? Even if he had just murdered the people that bullied him...that's not deserving of death.

Even if he had just murdered the people that bullied him...that's not deserving of death. yeah, I'm glad he brought the gun to school, he got out some emotions, and maybe now with help he can understand himself better. it's not the best thing that could happen, and I wouldn't be happy if anybody died, no matter what the reason would be.

I once new a guy who brought a gun to school, it was not loaded and it was never fired, even though it was not loaded, He was trying to make a statment. The day he picked was rather bad though it was 420. What happen was 2 months before there was a bomb threat to the school but they only let the grade 12 and 11 student go home they kept the 9 and 10 students in the school and never informed them. This happen even earlyer again about 5 months prior to 420, but it was with Anthrax, and again they let the 12, and 11 students out and kept the 9 and 10 students at school and never informed any one. At this time I was in grade 10, and so was this kid. Of course we all found out after the day was out, about the bromb and Anthrax threat, and well it sort of pissed us all of! like big time. So This kid brought a gun to school to prove young people can be a threat to the school as well as the onlder student, and there was another reason he told me, but it was so long ago that I am unable to remember now. He was never really punished, he just got suspended for 2 weeks, he was a teachers son so it again was never made public. That day none of the students were let out of the school... Because no one would do anything about it, the grade 11 and 12 student s started pulling fire alarms everytime there was a thread so people would be let out of the school.
I see what the kid was trying to do all in all but I think he went about it all the wrong way...
