Just talk about school here...
People can give each other homework help, advice...
When you start posting in here, give all of us an idea of where you are academically... especially English-wise.
Name: Ari
Grade: 11; currently High School Guest at the local community college, majoring in Piano Performance
Classes: Honors Precalculus, Japanese 3/4, AP12 English, AP U.S. History, World Religions, AP/Accelerated Physics, Independent Study Piano Keyboarding
Academic focuses: English, Japanese, Piano
English background:
9th grade: I didn't know a single thing about writing a paper or English in general upon entering Honors 9 English. This changed quickly, and I became the first 10th grader to take AP11 English without first taking Honors 10 English.
10th grade: I had double the English classes, because English 10 was required, so I was taking 2 Honors English classes at once: Honors English 10 and AP11 English.
11th grade: AP12 English
Future: Um. Lots more English electives and a class or two at the community college. With all my AP classes and college classes.... this means that I only have to go to college for 2-3 years.
Events: ACT in December (just signed up today), SAT... AP12 English exam, along with AP U.S. History and the AP test that comes with Accelerated Physics... after all that, college applications. Help?

Classes: Uuuummm...Freshmen have no choice. But I's in Orchestra.
Academic focublahblah...: Right now I'm really trying to further everything, especially Engrish, Orchestra, and Science.
English Background:
8th grade: Actually got pretty okay at writing, as opposed to sucking. "You totally need to become a writer."-Someone said that in eighth grade after reading an "adjectives" paper about Trix TM.
9th Grade: And here I am...
Events: Noting much. All these grammatical errors are on porpoise. Just a literary element.

I like descriptive writing and reading it in my free time, therefore you should place it in the coolest subforum in the world, the hangout subforum, AKA mmyyy subforum blaugh

Biology, Calculus AB, English AP, Physics English Background: 9th Grade: Honors English, didn't do much writing 10th Grade: Honors English, did a little writing, but only basics 11th Grade: AP English, no writing at all 12th Grade: AP English, finally writing a good bit Events: Finding a college. Wooow... you had it easy. In Honors English 9, I had a psycho teacher who made us write 20 page shtuff... and in AP 11 English, it was "IMPROMPTUS!! IMPROMPTUS!!" Now, I'm just becoming well versed in literature in AP12 English... such as the Odyssey, the Iliad, and of course, all the modern classics... O.o I can't stand science. I hate Phyyyysics... Newton can go die, along with his unit of measurement. "Newtons"... feh. I say that one Newton is more than enough, thanks. So... haha... AP tests fun, huh? gonk

AP tests fun, huh? gonk Just because I didn't have a lot of writing doesn't mean I had it easy. I wish we had done more writing. Last year was the worst. The teacher I had was horrible. evil Granted I've never had to do 20 pages or impromtus. The Odyssey and Iliad are interesting I'm stuck with Macbeth right now. Physics does suck.
