Today, Square-Enix held a Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus press conference at the Tokyo International Forum. Square-Enix announced that the awaited extension to the Compilation franchise will be released January 26, 2006 at the price of 8,190 yen. Moreover, Gackt, a famous Japanese artist, has composed two tracks for the game called "REDEMPTION", the theme song, and "LONGING", the insert song. Strangely enough, Gackt will also be incorporated into the game using a special technique utilizing live-action video and computer generated imaging. His involvement in the storyline and the game itself is still unknown.
