Ok, so this thread is the help anyone who can't remember the title of a book they once read and really liked and want to read again.

To start off: I read a book when I was in 7th or 8th grade. It was about three kids in some kind of military type thing in the future. I remember one of the children was much younger than the others. I also remember the older boy had the ability to tell the exact time at any given moment because of the training he had received. The only other main points I can remember is that when they showered their clothes dissolved and at the end they got their own private beach type thing, and the main character got a pair of jeans. But I can't remember the title at all...

The only book I recall that I had read in 7th grade even remotely close to that was "The Giver".
Sorry I am certain this is not the book you are looking for.

No, that's not it unfortunately... I read that more recently... never realized how depressing it was... they sure expect kids to read some dark books...

The fall of a Utopian society.
The teen years is about the age when kids are able to realize that the world they live in is not perfect. They have ideal thoughts of what a perfect world should be like and began to rebel because of this fact. Our children must inherit an imperfect world. Stories likes these help children understand that the idea of a perfect world can be destructive. We hate war and feelings of animosity for other people. With out it well there would be far more regulations and restrictions on us. Much of our liberties we have would be lost. We would find new ways to suffer.

Gorenza...always so deep!!! There aren't many books that I have read and frogotten the name of. I remeber the title of just about every book I've read. I have the opposite, there are books that I know the title of but can never find them anywhere!

Humm...*smiles at Ledlin's comment* If only I was a wee bit more articulate. Then prehaps I have a chance of people actually listening to the points I make.

Oh well being a lovable fool has it's benefits as well I guess.
