A while back I had to make a Superhero style comic book cover as an assignment, and seeing as superheros aren't really my style, I tried to think about what sort of elements WOULD make me want to read a superhero comic. They all seem to take place in the same sort of setting... sprawling, modern metropolises. So I thought an old European setting would be much more unique and interesting... so what better place than Amsterdam?
I'm also not really into meatheaded guys in tights, nor the clichee sexbomb superheroines in skintight suits. Thus, I decided to reinvent Sofie, and turn her into an echolocating, blind, Dutch superhero. xd
I'm now doing more concept work for this for another class, so I'll be updating this thread as I make progress on it.
