It had taken a fair bit of complaining on Nagendra's part to get Faythe to actually agree to this outing. The Tearoom had been pretty busy, and Fayte hadn't wanted to leave Jayce on his own there, but Nagendra had been stuck in the house for nearly three full days by that point, and he wasn't keen on the idea of the child he was looking after being so... limited in his activities. He wanted the boy to do things, and at least this time Nagendra's own laziness, which was quite an apparent feature of his personality sadly, had been quelled by his desire to not be simply bored.

Thus Faythe had left work early and had decided to take Nagendra to the park to try and get him to be active....he didn't suppose he'd actually get much in the way of running from the idle boy, but he'd at least expressed an interest in spending some time out of doors at all.

When they'd left the tearoom Nagendra had been rather happy. He'd not wanted to do too much, but he'd really wanted Faythe's attention, and Faythe seemed to like it when he expressed an interest in going somewhere, doing something, and generally not being as static as he liked to be... still, the day was nice, the weather was warm and quite sunny which agreed with him, and he couldn't say he minded the idea of lounging on the grass for a little... Faythe of course had brought a ball... that wasn't going to be used if he had anything to do with it though. He didn't want to be running around like a fool... he might get grubby.

Besides.. his feet, which due to their rather clawed nature didn't fit in many kinds of shoes, were in sandals... and you never wore sandals when you wanted to run.

Almost as soon as they had reached the park Fayth had had his attention caught by someone who frequented the tearoom, and her small yappy dog... for a moment, after debating swinging a kick at the creature that had had the nerve to bark at him, Nagendra had simply slipped away. The woman was overly talkative and old. He didn't find her in the least bit interesting, and thought he would have liked to have Faythes focus be on him for a bit longer, he didn't really want that focus to include the ball... so for now it was better that he just get himself out of sight and out of mind for a while. Maybe then Faythe could pay attention to him and not try to get him to play games... they could get an ice cream later. That would be a good idea. He liked ice cream.

It didn't take the draconic boy that long to find the play area... he stopped a little way away from it, giving the equipment a thoughtful look before he simply flopped himself down on the grass... he vaguely wanted to go and look at the pond, he liked the birds, but it was a long walk.. well.. not really, but he didn't want to walk it anyway, and he also sort of wanted to play... but that took effort... oh why did things have to be either so dull, like just laying where he was, or so difficult and taxing...

He sighed, tugging up a few blades of grass.

Maybe he should have stayed with Faythe... then he would have at least have had companny... he could feel a sulk coming on. There should have been someone here to entertain him darn it. He hated being on his own...

Kalos' pout had been enough to instantly win over Syn. Honestly, she had a soft spot for the kid and she'd give her anything she wanted. However, Kalos didn't need to know that just yet. Syn had poked and prodded until they'd finally came to a compromise that seemed to apease both of them.

Syn bit at her bottom lip as she leaned out of the car window and looked at her daughter. "You promise to stay put in the park 'til I come after you?" She asked as she let out a wistful sigh. Kalos had begged and pleaed with her to let her go to the park alone. At first she had wanted to walk here by herself. Syn, however, was not yet ready for that leap. While she trusted her daughter fully, she wasn't too trusting of those who frequented the streets.

After all their arguing Syn had agreed Kalos could spend an hour or two at the park, unchaparoned as long as Syn could drive her there and pick her up. The look on Kalos' face when the agreement had been reached to Syn that she had won this battle but more would be in the future. Blowing some stray bangs out of her face Syn continued to look at her daughter, waiting for an answer from her. This mother thing was hard to do. Worry seemed to be the thing that was at the front of her mind most.

"I promise!" Kalos beamed as she moved her small feet, as if she was anxious to run out into the park and away from her mom. With a nod of her head, Syn gave Kalos smile that didn't quite reach her ears as she pulled away. She waved to her mom and instantly took off, sprinting to the pond that she so liked to lounge by.

She rarely came to the park for the play things anymore. Kalos was content in sitting and watching nature unfold before her eyes. Though she did like to climb the occasional tree. Her feet bare, she dug them into the grass as she slowed her gait down as she neared the concrete path that would lead her to the pond she so enjoyed sitting by. However, she avoided the hard surface and opted for the grassy expanse of lawn that laid itself out beside the man made path.

Nagendra had been lounging where he was on the grass for a fair while, maybe ten minutes by the time he was actually getting ready to give up and just go and find Faythe, he'd flopped over onto his side, his long white tail flailing a little as he did so. Mid flail-come-roll however, something caught his eye, and he ended up pushing himself up to a sitting position. There was a girl in the park who he'd not seen before... then again he wasn't here all that often as it took a walk to get here, but still... he'd not seen her, and he was painfully nosy. In a moment he made his decision and pushed himself to his feet.

He had to pause briefly to brush the dried grass that had clung to his trousers off of them, he hated looking scruffy or messy... he also wished he'd brought a brush as he was sure he had grass in his hair to, but it was a bit late for that particular worry just at the moment.. and Faythe wasn't here to send home to get one. He ran his fingers through his red hair as he started to pad across the grass with then intention of meeting with the green haired girl.

As he got a little nearer to her, he really didn't feel like walking too quickly after all, he just raised his voice a little and called out, "Hey, Hey you!" He didn't know her name.. would he have used it even if he did..? It was hard to tell.. "Wait, who are you..?" He wanted to know, and yes, his tone was just a little on the demanding side at the moment. As he got a little closer to her he noted that there was a slightly floral scent to her... his tail flicked back and forward... he really hoped she'd shop, he didn't want to have to walk too fast... he should have just stayed where he was and yelled. She might have come over to him, it would have been the best thing if she had of course...

(( Her hair's green, actually. xP ))

Kalos let out a happy sigh as she looked up at the sky and squinted her eyes. Really, she liked getting out of the house. Being able to be alone for once was just a huge plus to her. Her gait had slowed quite a lot since she had initially took off running from the parking lot Syn's car had been sitting in. Kalos squished her toes into the green grass as she giggled a bit at the tickling sensation.

Suddenly, her nose twitched, a mixed smell made it's way to her nose. She couldn't quite place the scent. It was as if more than one thing was mixed into it; a deep, smokey smell with a bit of something sweet to it. Her head spun a bit from the smell as her mind tried to decipher all the smells included in that bit of air that had wafted by her.

A voice sounded in her ears, interrupting her thoughts. She huffed out a breath at the rudeness of the tone and stopped in her tracks. Gosh, rude much? She thought to herself. It was probably just an adult wanting to know where her guardian was. So nosy... She turned her head and looked over her shoulder. As she saw the red headed boy standing some ways back a smile spread across her face. Someone her age! What fun! Spinning around she turned her body so that she was facing him. Clasping her hands together behind her back she leaned forword a bit. "Hello there!" She beamed as she started to trace her steps back to where the boy stood.

((OhGodSorry! I did know that.. >.> I meant to make some comment about the huge white flower... *muddled much*))

The smile on the girls face brought a smile to Nagendra's... ah, she was a cheerful thing, wasn't she..? And she certainly seemed rather happy to be out of doors... unusual in itself, who'd want to be outside when they could be inside in the comfort of their home with their mountains of soft pillows and blankets and trinkets. As she moved closer to him though he realised one of the reasons that she might well like to be out doors... she smelled of... flowers... or something to the like, then again, the white blossom in her hair was probably something of a give away as well...

"Hey there." The draconic scent stated as the girl wandered closer to him, his long white tail flicking back and forth across the grass in a slow, lazy manner. He was rather pleased with himself for spotting the girl, she was definitely a good way to spend the day, talking to her was far better than spending his day wasting his time lounging on the grass and trying to avoid Faythe. She was...interesting to look at, and had the feeling that she could be really rather pretty, and he liked pretty... the flower in her hair was a nice touch and, yes, definitely yes, she was pretty enough to keep him companny today, as long as she was interesting. She seemed happy though, which was a good place to start, miserable people were just a lot of effort, and he was really too lazy. She was even walking over to him, it filled him with a nice warm sense of pleasure to know that there were people who could please him in this manner. Faythe was certainly not one of them most of the time... that man's relatively pleasing countenance was about all he really had going for him.

"So who are you then...? You.. seem rather flowery?" She smelt it as well. "I Like the flower in you hair, I've never seen one quite like it before.. what is it?" He smiled while he spoke, not even his usual really cunning smile. If he could befriend her that would be a step in the right direction, he could use some friends obviously... he liked to be liked. "My name, is Nagendra.." He held out a hand to her, his tail curling once more in the grass behind him.

(( It's alright. xDD It happens.<3 ))

Kalos tilted her head to the side as she neared closer to the boy. Her golden eyes instantly fell to the tail that kept swishing back and forth. Her eyebrows raised in wow. She'd never seen anyone with a tail. Wondering what he was, but not having the guts to straight out ask, she looked back up at his face. Which was a mistake in and of itself because her eyes took notice of the hair in his face and then slowly to the white horns jutting out of the muss of hair atop his head. Her eyes widened as she took in the horns along with the tail. She wasn't afraid for some odd reason. Just really amazed. Both the horns and tail added a mystery to the boy and just made Kalos all the more curious about him.

"You ask a lot of questions." Kalos said as she stopped to stand in front of the boy. Her hands were still clasped behind her back as she leaned back on her heels and smiled once again. Her gaze followed his up to the flower in her hair. From her angle all she could see was a few petals from it. "It's a gardenia." Kalos beamed proudly. She loved the flower. Though she supposed that was mainly because she had been born from it's smell. Her gaze drifted back down to him as he introduced himself. "My name's Kalos." She said as she held her hand out as well.

There was something about Nagendra. Kalos couldn't quite place it but it pulled her towards him like a magnet. She was intrigued by the boy and the scent that emanated off of him. She wanted to get to know him more. Maybe befriend him. After all, a child needed friends if they were to be at least somewhat normal. Her eyes sparkled in the sun as she shook his hand in introduction. Though, the shaking of hands seemed kind of weird for two kids. "So, what do you do for fun Nagendra?" Kalos asked him in hopes of finding something they maybe had in common.

"Of course I ask a lot of questions..." Nagendra stated with a smile at Kalos once again. "I'm curious, I can't help it, and you're kinda pretty..." the smile was still there. He certainly wasn't going to object to the chance of having another friend, someone to talk to him, someone to spend time with him. She was a girl as well, which was nice. she was prettier than Faythe and he liked the flower in her hair.

"I've never seen a gardenia before." Nagendra stated, reaching out a hand towards the petals, he wanted to touch them, then again.. he never really ad much of a concept of personal space. "It's really quite pretty you know. I think it suits you." He smiled at her once again, pushing his floppy red hair out of his face for a moment.

"What do I do for fun..? well, I like all kinds of things really i guess... i like stories, I like music... I don't mind drawing, though I like it when people draw pictures for me..." he looked around him. "I like the ducks here, i think they're kinda funny, the way they waddle about you know..?"he gestured the way he had been planning to move in a little while, towards the pond. "Do you want to go look at them now, together..?" He queried, flicking his tail out behind him a little. "I mean, I'd really like to go and see them, but I think it would be so much more fun with companny.." again his tail curled slightly.. "What do you think..? keep me companny..?"

He hoped she would go along, he didn't really want to have to wander around on his own too much, it was pretty dull after all... "Well..? Oh, I should ask as well, what do you do for fun..? You look like you like to outdoorsy kinda things..." He grinned at her.. "The ducks though? Shall we..?" He held out his hand to her.
