Anyone know what it could have been? well it could have been alot of thing maybe neon genesis evangelion Good guess but there are many more poetic/philosophical anime since most of the ones I watch are. Here some good ones from a long time ago: Revolutionary Girl Utena, Grave of Butterflies, X, Ghost in the Shell. I bet it is Revolutionary Girl Utena because girls loved that series about 5-10 years ago. That movie/series was poetic and philisophical (and yuri xd ) It focuses on what is fundamentally real (if you tried to understand it).
