Alright guys and gals, who're your favorite artists? I'm asking in the general forum because right now I'm reading a lot of marvel and when I eventually branch out of that, well, one of the first things I look for in a book is ART. I still consider myself "new" to comics, too, and I want y'all to introduce me around the place.

So who are your favorites and what title(s) are they best known for. Add pictures if you have them.

For me, I love Leinil Yu. Far as I'm aware he did a most of Secret Invasion and he's working on Ultimate Hulk v. Wolverine right now. I just really love the rough style, reminds me of freehand ink sketches I used to do but a lot more impressive. Err, one-panel example-- I'll try to add some links to larger stuff later..


Another fav of mine is Eric Canete, I know he did Iron Man : Enter the Mandarin and I want to say he did work for DC but I can't remember. I love how dynamic his stuff is, you can tell he was an animator with all the movement his poses have. (will edit with example later)

I loved Micheal Turners work, R.I.P!!! Also David Finch who is working on Ultimatium.

Jim Lee, Dave McKean and Dustin Nguyen.

I like Jim Lee's stuff but he mainly works for DC doesn't he?
