The east side of town is filled with tourists, a marketplace, and is where some of the islands' inhabitants live. Along the shore line is where the museum was built, and where the trainers gathered and disappeared.

Sophie walked through the busy streets not taking her eyes off of Twila she really didn't want to loose her in all the commotion. She wasn't too fond of crowded places lately, she was more worried about falling and have her bandanna come off or her tail showing through, and what worried her most was that she could see a lot of rangers heading towards the Museum, something must be up.

***

Tai, Tori, Keith, Buizel and Riolu all made there way to the museum. There where quiet a few Rangers that Tai and Keith knew from school, others that they heard of while in school and then those that they had never meet in there lives.

They all arrived at the museum as everyone was entering. Tori decided to stay outside of the museum to wait until her brother came back out. She Headed off for the side of the building and took out her pokemon to give them some air and run around for a while, she imagined that now would be a good time, Tai would most likely be in his meeting for a while.

As Twila made her way through the bustling city with Sophie, she checked behind her often, making sure she didn't lose her hybrid companion. She noticed Sophie was looking a tad distressed walking through the large crowds and Twila, too, was afraid of getting separated. And Sophie didn't know this city as well as she did, nor did she know where Luke lived. At one point, Twila reached out and grabbed Sophie's wrist, seeing as it was the best option they had of sticking together. She gave Sophie a reassuring smile and continued to lead her through the crowds.

"It won't be much farther, so don't worry. Once we get through the heart of the city, the crowds will start to disappear. The residential area isn't as busy as this."

Sophie wasn't paying any attention to anything around her except for the back of Twila's head, so she was caught a little off guard when Twila's hand grabbed her wrist and she stumbled a little but caught her balance once again.

She was getting excited about being out of this busy crowd. She never really enjoyed being with a lot of people before. She took a couple glances around and noticed that all of a sudden not a single ranger could be seen.

Twila led Sophie through the heart of the city, not really paying any attention to her surroundings; she didn't really notice the sudden lack of rangers. They eventually reached the start of the residential area of the island. The busy marketplace suddenly turned into quiet little streets lined with small houses with beachy, tropical designs and color-schemes. They walked down for a couple more blocks before they turned onto a street called Moonfall Way.

"This is Luke's street," Twila announced. She led her up the road and stopped about six houses up in front of a baby blue house with a white roof and a bay window on the first level. In the window were various plants soaking up the bright sunlight. If you were to look past them, you could see the window was located in the living room.

"This is his house."

Sophie was starting to not really like this place it seemed way to crowded for her liking, but once out of the busy marketplace, she noticed the beauty. being able to actually see the area now without people, made her feel more at home.

She had gotten so lost in all of the scenery that she didn't notice they had made it to Twila's friends place. It was a gorgeous house, once again something that reminded of home.

"So." Sophie started. "Have you figured out what your going to say?"

Twila took a deep breath and let it out slowly through her nose before replying to Sophie's question.

"Um...no, not really. I was actually just going to wing it," she said, more seriously than she'd intended. The truth of the whole situation was really starting to sink in now. This was big - bigger than big...bigger than just playing detective for a missing Pokemon or other little local mysteries she had taken upon herself to solve when she was young. This could actually be dangerous; Sophie's appearance was evidence enough for that. They really needed to be careful and these thoughts weighed heavily on Twila's mind, dampening her cheery and confident mood.

"Well, let's go in. I think I'll just start off asking about the events going on around here and at the museum and see what information he can give us. You said you didn't want him to know about you, so let's just say you're involved because someone you know has disappeared and that's why we're here - to do our own detective work. But that's all I've got. I don't know how he'll react or what more he can tell us, so we just have to play it by ear after that."

As Sophie listened she could hear in Twila's voice that she was getting very worried about all of this. She looked over at her friend with a smile and placed her hand on Twila's shoulder. "don't worry everything'll be fine." She walked behind Twila and started to push her forward towards the house.

"Think about how happy your friend will be once he sees you again, do you really want him to notice that somethings wrong right away, no. So head on in, introduce me, and start to catch up, then work your way into the museum incident."

~~~
In the meeting, Tai was finding it very hard to stay awake, the all-nighter was really starting to kick in. It wasn't just him though. On his lap was a sleeping Riolu. "I'm glad your getting sleep." He whispered down to it as it rolled it's stomach and arms towards Tai's and cuddled. Tai gave a sigh, it was really hard to stay mad at someone who sucks up even while sleeping.
Outside Tori was wondering around the busy streets taking a look at all the merchandise she couldn't have. She did enjoy looking around but it was hard for her to move around and actually get a good look at things so she decided to head off for an open area and let her pokemon out for a while.
Twila was a little surprised when Sophie started pushing her towards the house. "Whoa! Hey!" she exclaimed, but the action had managed to put a smile on her face again, as did Sophie's reassuring words. She was right, after all. This was no time to be worried. They had to be confident, and serious. And she couldn't let Luke know anything was wrong. He'd pick up on that right away.
"Okay, okay...I get it. I'm ready." They were at the front door now, so Twila lifted the silver knocker and banged it down a few times. A minute passed before she heard the click of the door knob and the door creaked open. A tall, muscular boy with a baby face had come to open the door. He had striking blue eyes and sun-bleached blonde hair that was styled so that it covered his right eye. Upon seeing Twila, his eyes widened in surprise at first. Then his face lit up and he grinned. Before she could react, Twila was swept up in his arms in a gentle embrace. Twila was so small in comparison to him, that she couldn't break away until he'd finally let her go.
"Twila! What are you doing here!? When'd you get back!?" he exclaimed. She smiled and laughed. Same old Luke.
"Hey Luke. I just got back today. It was kind of a last-minute decision really. I actually came here to see you. Mind if we come in for a bit?" Upon hearing the 'we,' Luke had finally noticed Sophie standing behind Twila. He hadn't noticed her at first. Twila had realized this too, and introduced them.
"Luke, this is my friend, Sophie. We just met, actually. She was, uh, visiting our neighbors on Butwal." Luke nodded and gave a friendly smile in Sophie's direction.
"I see. Well, it's nice to meet you Sophie," he said. "Okay, please come in! Make yourselves at home."
Sophie stood quietly until the door opened and she say the boy. She really wasn't expecting him to be that big, it took her by surprise and really didn't say much, until she was introduced.
"Hi there" She gave a small wave to the boy before entering into the strangers house.She kept close to Twila as they made there way in and through the house.
Back at the ranger meeting, it was harder for Tai to stay awake but also at the same time easier. They were no longer sitting in chairs being briefed on everything that was going on, but now all of the rangers had a chance to walk around to take a look at the museum to spot any clues.
Tai felt more reveled to be walking around, he was so scared of falling asleep during the briefing. He really didn't want to get caught sleeping, of course he was beside Keith but knowing Keith, he wouldn't have woken Tai up.
(curses, that was a block and a half for sophie xD and wow if you would've seen me type this I think I spelt like every word wrong)
((lol...its OK cuz you're like doing two RPs and three characters at once. Since I've got two characters right now in the one, this post is pretty long. Plus I'm doing explanations so I have to cut it off in the middle so its not too long. But that doesn't leave much for you to input unfortunately))
The front entrance of the house opened up in to a large foyer, in which the bay window they could see from outside was located. The room had a very light, summery feel. The walls were all a light blue and the furniture was mostly white. It was also filled with all sorts of plants and the decor was mostly seashells.
Luke led them over to the couches in that room and motioned for them to have a seat. He took a seat on a chair across from their couch.
"So, what's on your mind?" Luke asked, cutting right to the chase. "You wouldn't travel all this way on a whim if you didn't have something important to say to me." Twila smiled sheepishly. Luke knew her too well for her own guild. That's just what happens when you grow up with someone.
"It is important. I was kind of hoping to make a little small talk first, catch up on old times a bit, then ease my way into the topic at hand...but since you've already seen through my little charade, I may as well just cut to the chase," Twila explained. "It's about the museum incident..."
As soon as the words left her mouth, Luke sighed and shook his head, as if to dismiss the notion and stop her there.
"Look, we've been through this Twi...I told you all that I already know. And I don't want you getting involved in this! It's way bigger than you...you can't solve this one and you'll only get in the way if you try. Plus, it's dangerous!" Luke wore a worried expression on his face as he looked her straight in the eyes and added softly, "And I care about you. I don't want you to get mixed up in all of this."
Twila sighed. She knew this was coming, and that's what made it so much harder. But this was important! She had to help somehow! Even if it was bigger than her, that was no reason to give up before she'd even started. Especially not after meeting Sophie. She made a promise to herself to help Sophie and she intended to keep it.
"I know, Luke...and you don't know how much I really appreciate that. But this is important. I can't not get involved now. You don't understand..."
"Then explain it to me! Because I'm not going to risk your safety unless I know why and determine for myself if its a good enough reason. I still have regrets to this day..." he cut off there, with a forlorn look on his face. He didn't have to finish, because the expression on Twila's face showed that she knew clearly what he was talking about. There had been times in the past where she'd done something rash or stupid that had gotten herself into a world of trouble and it was because of information he'd given her. This situation now would most probably turn out the same or worse, but Twila couldn't bear to tell him that.
She sighed, knowing she would need to give him an explanation while still being careful not to give away the truth about Sophie.
(( that's quiet alright with me! This way I can get my stuff done with Tai and tori!!!))
Sophie followed Twila into the house. Although it reminded her of her own home from the outside but the inside was completely different. She sat on the couch beside Twila as motioned. She sat with her hands rested on her laps, listening to the two talk.
She had a feeling that Luke was going to need a reason, and she hadn't had much time to think of something and the only think coming to her was coming straight out with the truth. Her fists clenched up as she looked down to her lap. "She...she wants to help me out." She looked over to Twila smiled and gave the ok, to go ahead and tell him. It was easier that way then lying and having him find out down the road.
~~~

Tai found himself standing in the same spot for about 10 minutes, until he was nudged in the arm by someone. "Hey Tai, yo, earth to tai."

" uh what?" Tai looked over to his right to see keith standing there. " uh, is the meeting over already?"

"No, it's just you've been standing her for a good while zooned out." Tai took his hand and rubbed the back of his head.

" Sorry i really didn't get much sleep last night." He rubbed his hands over his face. " "Tori and I were out last night figuring out what those helicopters were." He continued to explain everything that happened the night before to keith.

((Yeah, so since I just had the RP work out this way...I'm thinking of incorporating Luke into this instead of ditching him. If anything, at least have him stay on the island and have him communicating with Twila. After all, I need to keep up with the amount of character's you're RPing at once! XP ))

Both Twila and Luke looked at Sophie when she spoke. Twila looked surprised at what she'd said. Her expression asked, 'are you sure?' but Sophie's smile answered that. Twila took a deep breath and looked back at Luke. She stared intently at him for a moment and he waited patiently, looking right back. Finally she spoke.

"Promise not to freak out," she said. She felt the need to stress that first, since this was about to get pretty heavy and she wasn't quite sure how he'd react. "But I have some news for you about this incident. Something else no one knows yet...not even all the rangers roaming around this town." Luke sat up straight, curious now. He nodded, giving Twila the OK that he was prepared for whatever she had to say.

"The people at the museum were ambushed and kidnapped - by who we still don't know. But apparently they're using those people and their Pokemon in some kind of ridiculous experiments. Sophie here is proof of that. Most of her memory is hazy, but she was at the museum, Luke."

Luke inhaled sharply. He looked from Twila to Sophie. "At the museum? But how? How could you be here then?"

Twila answered for Sophie. "She doesn't really know...she doesn't remember too much. But she was there when it happened. She was attacked and captured. They experimented on her, Luke! It's just awful. So you see, I have to get involved in this. I have to help her. And I need you to help us too by telling us what you know."

Twila was still trying to avoid telling Luke exactly what Sophie was, though he was bound to ask. She was really hoping it wouldn't come to her actually having to show him. But it was a fool's hope really, because his very next question was just that.

"I don't understand what you mean by 'experiment.' Just what exactly are we talking about here? She looks fine to me." Twila sighed. At least the disguise was working, if Luke couldn't tell. She looked to Sophie. This wasn't something they could really explain all that well. Luke would have to see it for himself. But Twila was going to leave that up to Sophie, if she wanted to do that.
PostPosted: Tue Jun 23, 2009 10:24 pm

Sophie looked back to Twila and nodded, she really didn't mind all that much now that she knew who luke was, and had a big feeling that she could trust him to keep her secret. She stood up and started to take the bandanna off her head to show her new pikachu ears and pulled down the back of her skirt just enough for her tail to come out.

"Everyone in the museum was asked to bring there best pokemon with them, me, it was my best friend pikachu." Sophie started. " From what i can remember, I was in a dark room, i wasn't alone because I could hear voices. They were harsh and cold, i really didn't like them. Since the room was so dark I really could see much either."

Sophie crossed her arms and looked down. "After that, I don't remember all that much, just Pikachu screaming, and then i woke up in the forest at Butwal. Three days later I ran into Twila there."
