I've seen Japanese logos for the game in someone's signature in the Game Discussion forum, so I'd say they're pretty true. I don't know, it just feels like Nintendo doesn't make new games anymore. I could see when they more or less remade Red and Blue with Fire Red and Leaf Green, since theose games were old enough that maybe the younger Pokemon fans never got to play them, but I guess they're releasing it to celebrate the ten year anniversary of Gold and Silver's original release. As I said, I just don't know.

I think it's an excellent move by Nintendo. The demand for G/S has been huge and they'll get even more nostalgic buys than the R/B remake.
I think it's too soon to add another bunch of new pokemon to the list anyways.

Honestly... id rather see Pokemon: Ultimate Collector's Edition. All Pokemon campiagns from Red ,Green(or Blue), Yellow to Pearl, Diamond, and Platinum. You should be able to choose what region you start. Battle 4 different Elite Leagues, 32 Gyms, 28 contests, 1 super contest hosted by Wallace, every activity from each series, and catch 596 pokemon( there would be few new species if im too high). Id by that for sure. Even at 60-70 dollars.
Anyways, gold and silver were my favorite out of the bunch.

^ But what about the Orre region?
Anyways, there was a certain charm about Gold and Silver that I haven't felt in the recent games. Not to mention that you actually can get the legendary dogs with a good nature without as much effort as snagging and purifying them required.

You should be able to choose what region you start. I like how they are incorporating the graphics style from D/P instead of just a port with GB graphics. Going on my list of games I need to eventually buy biggrin

Also, Entei, Suicune, and Raikou are CATS!!! Not dogs!!! Anyway, they should make an entire compilation. However, that means they have to raise the level cap or make it harder to level up so you can go to all the gyms and have a challenge.

techniquely suicune is the only dog. Raikou and Entei are feline though. and gold was always better than silver. Ho-oh > Lugia ninja

and they are called ledgendary dogs for a specific reason, but agreed that two of them look kind of like cats (i love cats so its all good) but still! i still see the dog-ness in them.
I never beat G/S so it would be good to play this considering that my original G/S will not play anymore, and I had the attention span of a fish ,so I couldnt beat it when i was younger -.-
