An an official member of the now defunct Altimit copreration I am one of the biggest .hack fans around!
So since I'm not the only one who wants to talk .hack in this guild I'll make this thread for it rather then cluttering up the RP threads.
Regarding Orca. He might not have been the strongest game wise but with out him the entire events of the orginal .hack games couldn't have happened.
He's the one who invited Kite to join the world. His reputation is what lead Aura to him in an attempt to give him the braclet of twilight which resulted in his coma and giving Kite the motivation he needed to do what he did for the rest of the quadrillogy.

This is all true but I still hold my original argument pertaining to Orca. The character seemed to be made to tie up loose ends; what he needed to do was decided before he was conceived as a character.
Speaking of the quadrillogy, does anyone have the forth game? I found it once but didn't buy it and now it's too difficult to find.

I own a copy but I'm sure as hell not going to sell it.
Try Ebay if all else fails, thought I'll keep an eye out for used copies for you if you want.
The funny thing is I started .hack on a whim. I rented Infection for a weekend and was on the final boss battle when I had to return it.
I left my ps2 running well I took it my rental copy back to the game store. Luckily they had a used copy for sale and I quickly bought it.
The best part was Mutation came out like a week after wards.

I bought Infection on a reccommendation from a friend. *cough*Death*cough* Or rather, I remember that he liked it and decided to check it out for myself. Gotta say, I'm glad I did.
And, Death, isn't that [The World] not fully functional? I know that they've been working on it, but it's not gonna be available yet. Although, I think that they said it would be available within a few months. . . . And didn't you send me that link a couple years ago? I swear I remember that happening. Back to Orca... Like I said, though, he may have been the tutorial character at first, but you find out pretty quickly just how famous and skilled he is. Not just in things like AI Buster, but the games themselves and SIGN mention this.

That site just sent out a newsletter that they need donations or things are going to get ugly. Hopefully everything works out, but times is hard right now. And yes, I gave everybody that link another time....

Those types of sites almost never work out.
Either they never really get going or they get shut down by the company who owns the IP.
Anyhow are either of you planning to get the oneshot .hack//Alcor manga when it comes out this winter?

I don't think I'm going to get either of those. I don't have a PSP and I guess I could always take Yuki's .hack//Alcor if he gets it.

And good action games, like... Meh, I'm too lazy to list any.
And what makes you think I'd let you read mine? Although I probably would...

If one of you are willing to buy it for me then I'll get a PSP. And don't forget to duck tape a few of those games to it.
I know this is off topic but do either of you have a PS3 and Little Big Planet because I have no one to play with. sweatdrop

First, it's actually duct tape. Second, since school is essentially over, you could just ask me to come play with you like we did that other time. Remember? All of the stickers and things stuck everywhere on the screen and Sackboys... Ah, good times. Good times.
