This is a place unusually close to the spirt world. Here, while in meditation, a shinobi's mind can stretch out and monitor a wide variety of things at great distances, as well as use telepathy to convey messages. (you can see everything going on in the interguild wars and tell your teamates where to go if one enemy base is vulnerable, or your own defenses are failing).

Within the heart of the temple, near where the altar to the Gods lay, the bridge between this world and the Spirit World was strong. All across the world, few of these places existed, and fewer still were aware of these places. But because of the war, and because of the Kougai Clan, many people now knew that this temple was a connection to the spirit world. Not that the Kougai needed it, really. As was about to be proven. For as the quiet of the temple grew to such a point that anyone within could hear the beat of a butterfly's wings, the stone of the floor trembled. Stone pillars silently rose from the floor, five feet apart and thirteen feet tall. Nothing rested between the two pillars, but to those trained for observance, they would see a slight shimmer in the air. The next moment a man stepped through, dressed in shades of black and red, with a large scythe in one hand that he leaned on. Stepping through the portal, the man's eyes, a five pointed star with a bright blue dot for a pupil, and the whites of the eyes being purple, surveyed the room for anyone here but him. A hand, withered with age, hung from a leather thong around his neck. A pair of white streaks extended from the tip of his forehead to the end of his hair, and each strand was in it's place, further showing that this man liked neatness. As the man finished stepping through, the stone pillars slid silently back into the stone floor, leaving no trace that they had ever existed.
This man was known as Lore "StarWind" Kougai, Famous Shinobi of the shinobi village Amegakure. As all Kougai members, Lore had a connection to the spirit world and had had it since the day he was born. But that connection was further emphasized with the invisible spirit beside him, visible to a Kougai and no one else. It was the First Hokage, nicknamed Shodai for convenience, that stood beside him, one of the original founders of the Village Hidden in the Leaves. For years this spirit had been beside Lore, and for years he would remain. However, it wasn't the spirit that would catch most people's attention, seeing as how they couldn't see it. It was Lore's bearing of himself. His eyes radiated a sense of unease to all who looked into them, giving the person a sense that Lore knew far too much about them then they felt comfortable. It was a side effect of the Ryougan Hateshi, the Kekkei Genkai of the Kougai Clan.
Sitting down before the altar, Lore did has he had done for the last few weeks, if not longer. He connected himself with everyone in the area, all of his comrades, and those he called enemies. Not that there were any enemies at the moment, though. And so began his day once again.

A heavily cloaked person walked towards the temple with a straw hat covering his face and a the cloak covering his body. Akki sent to protect the temple stood as he reached the the entrance and shifted his body to move into a defending position. "Why would someone take over such an area would be a wonder to me...."

A figure garbed in all black with long black hair and dark blue eyes appeared at the entrance to the temple, standing on a floating metal disk, just wide enough for the man to stand on. After pausing for a second, the figure entered the temple, still on the disk. He would fly directly over Lore's head, the shadows of the metallic glider and Lore's being touching for a mere second before the man stopped moving, floating above the alter. A few seconds after he stopped moving, Lore might would hear a very very very faint whistle in the air as a horizontal metallic blade came at him at his neck level. This blade was invisible from in front or behind, but not from above or below. At the rate it was moving, unless Lore had prior warning, he would most likely not be able to dodge the attack.

The instant the man entered the area, Lore knew. He was fully in tune with the spirit world here, and so could sense his progression. However, as soon as the man entered, Sondaime immediately began watching him, sure that this man was an enemy. Again, Lore wasn't worried too much. He'd already sent a message to the others, and Akki was not but a few feet away, really. But the instant the man started floating over him, something would grab him from behind and throw him backwards through the air. Sondaime had grabbed him, but as of yet remained invisible. But when the disk shot at him, Sondaime tried to alert his friend, but found he didn't need to when Lore lifted the sword on his back and held it before his face, all astonishingly fast. The spinning blade came in contact with the sword and ricocheted off into the wall, becoming stuck. Lore slowly opened his eyes, the star in their depths immediately sending out a powerful aura of fear towards his enemy. Unless this man was well trained (A-S Ranked), he'd be paralyzed. At the least, he'd get a chill. "Who are you?"

Akane would barely move anywhere as he was thrown. As for the blade that Lore thought he could block simply with a sword, it seemed to go right through Lore's sword, but his sword would remain intact. The aura did nothing to Akane, save for sending a small shiver down his spine. "I am..your end." Akane looked around, his eyes seeing a slight distortion in the air, and he knew it was what grabbed him and threw him. He would keep track of where this distortion was.

Reggie walked in, right on time to see the man thrown, "What the hell?! We should have been the first to attack!" He unleashed the claws in his hand, three twelve inch, half mercury/half adamantium claws protruding from the middle knuckles on each hand. "Bring it."

(I've been here since the beginning. And I made a clan based on a combination of Wolverine and Gambit.)

((No, me.))
The trap was set, and Lore's end drew near. Kurotenshi had been in his shadow form, hiding in the shadow of Akane's platform. When it's shadow had met Lore's, Kurotenshi had changed places to Lore's shadow. A single arm, dark and insubstantial, reached up out of the shadow with lightning speed, slashing at Lore's hamstrings. Even if his allies could see in the dim lighting, it would be too late to warn Lore. Kurotenshi rose from his flat shadow form, instead becoming dark and insubstantial, behind Lore.
"Kage Dageki (Shadow Strike)," he said as Lore fell to his knees in front of him. The other shinobi could not possibly avoid Akane's blade now. He smirked, nodding at Akane before turning to Reggie, bloodlust in his eyes.
