 Perpetua lounged lazily in the morning sun. Today was just so gorgeous that she hated to miss the opportunity to head to the Wildflower Meadows, her favorite place to view gorgeous flowers and beautiful bugs. She really did hope that her friends would come so that they could go exploring, but if they didn't Pet was content to explore on her own. She'd probably get scolded by either one of her mothers or Kiraki but that could wait until later. Right then, Perpetua just had to look at all of the lovely things that made up the glorious meadow. The worrying could come later.

 Alaric picked his way through the grass of Wildflower Meadows, finding the warmth of the sun pleasant on his brown fur. The young fawn was in high spirits, excited about being a part of the Labyrinth Runners. His first team! What an honor! After all, how many fawns could boast about being on an exploration team?
In fact, today, he hoped to go on his first official adventure with his fellow members. Alaric's first impulse was to check Wildflower Meadows. He had a feeling his dear friend Perpetua would be drawn there. He smiled a little to himself, feeling another flutter of excitement in his chest. Perpetua was a dainty little fawn, and Alaric was immediately drawn to her, to protect her.
Lotus, the other member, seemed like a nice enough fawn. Though they had just met and established the team, Alaric already liked Lotus and looked forward to meeting him again. How lucky he was to have such allies as Perpetua and Lotus...
Nearly losing himself in daydreams, Alaric spotted a familiar pale pink figure lounging not too far away and snapped out of it.
"Perpetua!" he called gleefully, bounding over to her, "I had a feeling I would find you here!"

Curled up in a grassy thicket, Lotus was enjoying a nice nap. The yearling flicked an ear as a bug buzzed past, moving from a light sleep into wakefulness. Today he intended upon finding his friends so Team Labyrinth Runner’s could go on their first exploration together. With a smile, the male uncurled himself and stood, stretching his muscles. He was older and larger than his friends; however that didn’t make his enthusiasm any less.
He set out towards the Wildflower Meadows, himself drawn to the beautiful flowers that grew there. Butterflies were always in abundance there and was there anything better than standing amongst the beautiful, gentle insects? With high steps, the calm, male entered the meadow, ears twitched forward to capture any noises that might lead him towards other Herla.
It wasn’t long before he spotted the other two in the distance and in a few bounds was by their side, eyes shining with excitement. “Hello you two!”

Pet's eyelids had been drooping with mid-morning exhaustion when she heard Alaric's voice. Shaking her head slightly she shook off the exhaustion. "Alaric!" She called, giggling happily she rose from the soft green ferns where she'd been resting to find her dear friend running towards her. This was perfect! She'd been hoping to find him and here he was before her very eyes.
Perpetua smiled at him and was about to offer him a warm greeting when she heard Lotus' voice and looked over. My, but things were working out perfectly! Here were both of Pet's new friends, the members of her team of explorers.
Cocking her head cutely to the side she said, "Wow! I can't believe this really happened! I'd wished on a star last night that we would find each other and here we are." The young fawn was absolutely thrilled to the very marrow of her bones.

Alaric turned to greet the last arriving fawn, smiling warmly.
"Good morning, Lotus! It is nice to see you again. I hope today we can go on our first adventure," he looked around at Wildflower Meadow, finding all the flowers and rocks as exciting opportunities for discovery.
"Perpetua picked a great spot!"
He then turned his attention to said fawn, giggling.
"I have never heard of wishing on a star, but it looks like it worked!"

“You wished on a star?” Lotus glanced upwards at the sunny, midday sky as if imagining the stars of the night. Could thy grant wishes? How lovely. He turned his attention back to Pet, his eyes twinkling with delight. “That’s wonderful then. I’m glad the stars answered your call, because I really want to get this team exploring.” He chuckled,
Lotus nodded at Alaric. “Yes, this is a lovely spot.” Although he’d already run across most of the meadow, exploring it with friends would make it even more special. The yearling’s tail flickered happily. He’d kept to himself a lot, never having any real connection with anyone. To be apart of a team seemed… special.
“Shall we then?”

Walking closer to Alaric she nuzzled his neck before doing the same to Lotus. Perpetua had friends and it felt amazing! She sighed happily before turning to Lotus and saying, "I think they did! I heard about it from another herla, but I don't know their name. But it seems like it worked, because how else would we find each other like this?"
Looking around her, Pet spotted a beautiful tree with huge blossoms strewn throughout the branches. "Look at that tree! I wonder what kind it is?" She asked curiously.

Alaric immediately trotted over to the tree Perpetua had noticed, standing under it and looking up. He admired the blossoms, eyes widened in wonder.
"I have not seen a tree like this before! It is very pretty," He turned to Perpetua, giggling. "Leave it to Perpetua to notice the prettiest trees!"
He scuttled back to his friends, now obviously excited. "Think we are the first to discover it? We should name it after Perpetua!" He hopped up and down, grinning, "In fact, all of the discoveries we make shall be named after us!"
