At a magic school obviously there are those that wish to train their powers, and here is the ideal place to use it. Various terrains can be selected through the Training Ground Terminal located when you first enter the large room, which range from a simple room to an underwater battlefield and everything in between. Of course these terrains are completely realistic, not some cheap room that gets magically filled with trees in order to be a forest. No. You are actually there. You will find no doors to return you to the school, nothing of that sort. In order to return you must defeat the monsters you selected. No questions asked. The only exception is when fighting another student of course. Then one can leave at anytime by simply saying that they wish to return to the schools.
Others can also join any current battle by selecting it in the terminal, or create a new one while another one is going on.
One can fight a student or one of the many training dummies available. These "dummies" can be either an inanimate object, such as a punching bag, or a monster as real as the person fighting them. Why, of course these monsters or going to try to kill you. In an actual fight with a horrendous beast do you honestly think it would simply back down? You silly student.

Ice Scape Good luck on this one. You better be wearing some really warm clothing or else the cold will kill you if the monster doesn't. For this terrain consists of entirely ice, oh and water of course. For watch out some parts of the ice are extremely thin, step on it a bit to hard and crack, you'll fall right through. Though don't worry there are some places you can hide from whatever beast you're fighting against. There are various mountain like structures that you can hide behind, and you might even find some ice caves within some of them.
Ice Labyrinth Being on an icy terrain is bad enough, but imagine being in one that's a giant maze. Not only are you freezing to death you also have absolutely no idea where you're going. Don't worry there is an exit, just hope you can get to it before the monster kills you. I'd suggest you fight smaller creatures within this labyrinth, it's far more fun if you can't see the monster above the ice. Of course the ice is twenty-four feet high so good luck seeing over it anyways.
Deep Water I sure hope you can swim if you attempt to fight on this terrain, for you'll be completely surrounded by water. Sure you'll have some rocks where you can stand upon but don't expect to be able to defeat the monster from the safety of your rocks. And yes, there might be an island in sight, but good luck trying to swim to it while being attacked. Honestly, I wouldn't even attempt to fight on this terrain unless you have some control over water.
Fire Dungeon Perhaps you're the type that likes fire. Well, if that's the case you would simply love this terrain. Of course the unbearable heat and monsters that are trying to kill you might not make it all that enjoyable. Besides that though it is a rather interesting place. Just don't try and find a way out, i assure you there is none. For you are trapped in a deep fiery dungeon that has boiling lava lakes throughout it. Slip and fall and well you wouldn't exactly live to tell the tale, and if I were you I'd stay away from the bridges; they tend to break easily. Though as long as you stay away from the lava, the bridges, and the monsters trying to kill you then you'll be perfectly safe.
Forest Well, here's the seemingly most relaxing place of the terrains it seems. You don't have to worry about burning to death, freezing to death, or drowning. However, the creatures in the forest are still brutal. For they know the forest far better then you. They know where to hide, and where you will hide, all you can do is crouch behind a tree and wait for their arrival. Sounds like fun huh? It is a rather beautiful forest though, with is lovely foliage and tall trees looming over your head. There's even lovely creeks here and there. A rather enjoyable place actually, until the monsters come of course. And I'd be careful if I were you, this is where the most monsters usually come.
Abandoned Town This is obviously one of the more horrific of the terrains that one can choose. It is the alternative to the Dark Castle, for those that wish to be in a more realistic terrain. For here you will find an abandoned town of sorts that looks as if it came straight out of England, or some place of that sort. Rain is constantly falling down upon this small town, and the houses are abandoned, some even torn down. However, life still dwells in this place. The creatures that live here are those that you only see in your nightmares. The twisted horrifying beings that creep in the darkness will surely haunt you in a place such as this. Good luck trying to find someplace to hide. For they're everywhere. The houses, the streets, anywhere you could possibly go. Darkness will overwhelm you.
The Dark Castle Who wouldn't want to visit a looming dark castle that was surrounding in an eerie fog? If that doesn't convince you to go maybe you should consider the many dark creatures that walk about the poorly lit corridors of the castle's interior. Or perhaps the dragons flying above your head will make you immediately decide to come to this particular training ground. No? Well, people who favor the dark side will surely enjoy themselves here, as well as the abandoned town of course. For any powers that consist of darkness are enhanced in this terrain. Good luck trying to fight someone who has dark powers here.
Desert Dunes At least it's not as hot as the Fire Dungeon right? Of course now you have to worry about the sand storms, which really aren't the most enjoyable thing to experience. Imagine fighting a terrifying best while having your eyes burning with sand. Not too fun right? Of course you have to also deal with the creatures that live in the sand. Don't be surprised if someone jumps out of the ground and starts attacking you. Maybe you'll be lucky and run into some small monster. Though I must warn you, a lot of the monsters here are rather large.

Leviathon. Terrain: Deep Sea Perhaps the land monsters are simply much to easy for a brave warrior like yourself, which is when you'll decide that you should challenge a water monster. Fighting in the water is much more strenuous and hard, but you're assured that you can conquer anything, despite not being in your own element. If these are your thoughts, prepared to be humbled by Leviathan, a hospitable water serpent who's aching to tear you apart, limb for limb. Leviathan, to begin with, is a massive creature, about two times the size of a whale, and much less friendly. While bulky, Leviathan still manages to be swift, trained by chasing underwater prey across and through underwater scapes of mountains, volcanoes, even reefs. It's also incredibly hard to see. You may assume that, because of it's size, Leviathan is simple to detect. That's about the opposite of the truth. Leviathan's scales are in resemblance to that of a chameleon's. One swallow of water, and his body can become mirrored to the colour of the water. The only way this disguise doesn't work is if you bring it above water, and it swallows the air. It's a difficult task, however, and only effective for ten minutes. (If you're lucky.) The only real way to be sure of it's presence is the small, glowing orbs attached to the sides of it's massive body and glowing fiercely in it's eyes. The Leviathan has yet to figure the attachments, and usually believes it is entitled the element of surprise, a weakness of the monster. Long, powerful tentacles surround the mouth, which it uses to identify and grab it's prey. They're surrounded in armor, for fear of being cut off. Using a certain type of metal, though, it's possible. The mouth is the only weak spot to speak of, since it's not coated in teeth or any poisons until a later time. If you can work quickly enough, being intentionally swallowed is a good plan of attack. That is however until the gruesome liquid it uses to digest is released. Everything from the vapor to the substance of this liquid is toxic. In conclusion, if you plan on starting your water battles with the Leviathon, you should prepare a will in advance.
Colossus Terrain: Forest
Standing at 45 feet and composed entirely of rock, the first thing you'll probably recognize about this creature is his formidible and intimidating appearance. Of course, fighting a monster made of a mix of rock and an unknown, glowing substance thought to be it's fuel source isn't simple. Colossus is your typical brute, displaying no powers to speak of besides it's strength. The fuel source empowers the otherwise useless pile of rocks to see, move, and act like a creature. Despite the bulk, Colossus is recognizably swift, although not very subtle. Although appearing dumb, they've adapted to the forest well, and know to avoid certain aspects like water and high places that may crumble. There appears to be little effect using water, and forces don't work on the creature. Infact, there's only one real force liable for certain defeat- fire. The substance inside of Colossus is highly flammable, and starts afire when exposed to degrees over one hundred and ten. However, it's not always easy to access the substance, which is why it's lucky that the Colossus' vision is heat-oriented, to avoid any combustion. Defeating the creature doesn't require brute strength, more to be extremely clever and spontaneous.
Melconian Terrain: Fire Dungeon Lurking only around magma activity, the Melconian is rumored to be the product of a volcano itself. The large, canine-like creature is incredibly fire-oriented and associated with scorching heat. It's a fairly large animal, standing around 35 feet tall and an unmeasured amount across, estimated to weigh at least four tons. There are attachments over the monster's eyes, and around it's torso, thought to be an advancement of natural selection after all of the time bathing in liquid rock. However, that's a very basic assumption, and hard enough to turn into fact since the creature is incredibly rare to find, if not impossible. The ends of the attachments can be ignited to a menacing degrees of four thousand, in fareinheight. It proves heat can not be used against the Melconian, seeing as it can stand temperatures higher than that. What besides, it has a giant tale with the same capability, strong enough to crush anything standing in it's path. The Melconian isn't incredibly bright, however, and can't see very well thanks to the attachments known to be it's defense. Any sort of water, cool liquid, or cool air can be used against the monster, since natural adaptions have taken away the needs to survive with such. There's also a large, scorching chamber of lava lurking on the Melconian's chest, the captivator of the entire beast. Without this chamber, the Melconian wouldn't beable to fuel any of it's heat-based attacks. Breaking the chamber is rather simple, however, the lava inside is still dangerous. Long distance attacks are the best tactic of defeat.
Siam Terrain: Abandoned Town, Dark Castle Truly, Siam is the epitome of what lurks in the darkness of our twisted minds. Sadly, someone decided it was a good idea to make it come to life. What once was human only turned out as a product of scientific failure and a terrible fetish for bondage and leather. Siam is exactly how it looks. Two mutilated bodies bound together, veins full of blood bursting out of the flesh, almost. The seemingly male part has swollen, club-like arms that can cause heavy damage and break a few bones. You can tell where it is because of it's constant moans of pain, due to the fact there are several cords going in and out of it's body so as to keep them together. He maybe a slow runner, but, once he hits someone, they're down and he won't need speed to finish them off. He doesn't seem to be aware of the lady on his back. The female half-part doesn't do much other than scream and kick with the heels of her stilettos. Both sides of Siam are blind and only rely on sound to defeat their enemy and to capture a meal, to which, is not limited by animals or human flesh, sadly. When around Siam, be sure to maneuver quietly and don't make a single sound. Because, even if it's dark, it will find you... To defeat this horrid creation, one must over come their fears and use their other senses to make up for better lack of sight.
Pendulum Terrain: Abandoned Town, Dark Castle A monster consisting of two conjoined torsos on each end and a metallic waist which allows it to spin, it has a blade attached to each of the heads and walks around on its stilt-like legs. They can also rotate in midair, without the use of wings, making a noisy screeching sound of grinding metal that alerts others of its presence, though, one can tell based on the smell of decaying flesh and faint cinnamon, supposedly to welcome, that the creature gives off. The Pendulum was named based on its movements and attack methods while the upper half of its body rotates. While it is blind, much like Siam, this creature is virtually helpless and attacks at sheer whim without knowing precise location. It would be wise to simply throw something in another direction to set it off and distract it while you go in for the kill. However a good idea that seems, you must also consider the fact that Pendulums hang out together like a flock of birds and it's rare to catch one by itself. Cautionary tactics should be used when fighting a hoard, which can consist from two to seven, and you should never go at it alone, no matter how good of a fighter you think you are, because, those blades can slice you up for dinner and you'd never be seen again...
The Lone Terrain: Abandoned Town This thing is born to suffer, perhaps a manifestation of loneliness and pain all together. A shroud stretched by metal bars covers its head, keeping it from breathing. Spikes grow on it, often piercing its own body. It cries corroding tears that attack its skin and burn its flesh. It doesn't attack voluntarily. The Lone try to approach people, trying to get help, moaning and launching a high pitched cry of suffering. The closest it is to the victim, the longest its spikes grow, resulting in more pain to the Lone and a greater urge to get to the person in front of it. When very close, it runs into the victim while the spikes extend to their maximum, resulting in the death of both the victim and the Lone. They are extremely lonely creatures. Even other monsters avoid them, staying far away from their cries. If the Lone don't meet any victim, it dies because of the shroud covering its head. The shroud grows slowly and end up wrapping the entire Lone, killing it by suffocation. If you see one, have a kind gesture and kill it. Melee weapons do not work on it and it would be best to attack from afar.
Mu Terrain: Forest Upon looking upon the adorable little Mu one would surely wonder why it is a monster. It's appearance can fool you into thinking it's a squirrel considering it's bushy tail and squirrel like body. Though it's obviously not your average squirrel since it has feathers upon it's head and can often stand on only two feet. The curious mu makes its home in the ancient trees of the Forest. Their nests are made by by boring holes in the tree trunks, whence they peer out to watch for danger. Spending all of their waking lives beneath the shade of the trees, their bodies are pale and colorless. So close is their affinity for the trees that some communities consider them to be tree spirits. Evil tree spirits though, considering they will not hesitate to hurt you. Sure it may be weak and might simply shoot water or throw some rocks at you, but when you have a hundred of them scurrying about and popping out of trees they are quite the nuisance.
Malboro Terrain: Forest, Desert Dunes Being a hideous creature with greenish-brown mottled skin, and writhing tentacles. It eats only of flesh, drawing no sustenance from photosynthesis as do common plants. Favoring stealth, it approaches its prey in silence, then strikes without warning, swallowing its victim whole. Its maw is filled with powerfully acidic saliva, and breathing the miasma that is its foul breath causes poisoning and madness. Even if one manages to defeat the foul monster, they will have to face the poison that has taken over their body quickly, or else they will die as well.
Coeurl Terrain: Forest This predator usually does not strike one as a fierce monster. He may not be as adorable as a Mu but at first glance one would consider it to be your average leopard or some creature of that sort. The only difference between the two is the fur located at the end of it's tails, and the elongated whiskers. These whiskers however are what helps it use it's powerful thunder attacks upon it's enemy. One strike of it's lighting and an enemy will either be paralyzing, petrified, or instantly killed. It's physical attacks are also quite strong as well, so be prepared. Luckily, it's not too difficult to defeat. If you manage to cut off it's whiskers it's elemental powers are greatly weakened, which will then cause it to be far easier to kill. Though they sometimes can be found in pairs so be careful.
Cactuar Terrain: Desert Dunes Being a mischievous, mean-spirited beasties, mercifully lacking the intelligence to do any real damage. Sproutlings are called cactites. A rare strain is noted for its proclivity to sprout a scarlet blossom, the being seldom seen, of the highest value, and considered a sign of miraculous good fortune by sensitive young lovers with a tolerance for needles. Two dots and a open mouth for a face give it a rather cute, bemused look. Despite its endearing figure, it can cause great damage with its attack, 1,000 Needles, which can cause much damage. In addition, most attack attempts fail or miss due to its high evade stat, and it often runs away before you can even get a chance to execute a command. However, it also has a tiny amount of health, so one attack is usually enough.
Bomb Terrain: Fire Dungeon It looks like a little ball of fire with big eyes, a big mouth, and little wisps of fire coming out of the top. Its attack strategy remains relatively unchanged from game to game: each time it is hit, it increases in size and strength up to three times, and after the third, it self-destructs and delivers massive damage to one member of the party. These monsters deal the most amount of damage to those that rely upon magic for their armor. So be wary if you are a magic user. Though they are easy to kill considering after three hits they're gone, it's really just the self-destruct that you have to worry about when it comes to the bombs.
Basilisk Terrain: Ice Labryinth, Ice scape Being a variety of serpent able to maintain its body temperature regardless of its environs, preferring to live in colder regions. It has two distinctive scale-patterns on its breast which are said to be the result of interbreeding between two strains of serpent. As its body is covered with scales of surpassing smoothness, it is able to move quickly through areas of deep snow. Basilisks are almost impervious to spells. Their eyes when fully opened are somewhat vulnerable to spells, but it is very hard to use that weakness because if you see fully opened basilisk eyes enough to cast a spell on them you are either dead or petrified, depending if your line of sight are direct or not. n addition to spell resistance, the basilisk's skin can take huge amounts of physical force without damage. The only 'accessible' weak point of a basilisk is the roof of its mouth. The rest of the mouth of the basilisk is about as hardy as the outer skin is. The biggest problem of reaching that weak point is that there is never a clear line from outside the mouth, you have to be fully or partially inside the mouth and that is basically impossible without being bitten, and after being bitten you have about ten seconds to a minute to live depending on how much poison you get in you and how physically strong you are. I'd make sure to bring some antidote for some poison if I were you.
Jigglypuff
Terrain: Forest
As it appears, Jigglypuff is an incredibly adorable monster. Battling it is mostly endurance and tolerance, no physical strength required. A Jigglypuff mostly uses its powers to manipulate it's own kind and claim land. Their call is quite gruesome to the ears, high pitched, however not deafening. Sound resembles a bad opera singer. If you can stand the noise, you can beat the small creature without a problem.
Fierian
Terrain: Fire Dungeon
A single fierian isn't much to worry about. While their scorching body temperatures are dangerous to the touch, and they do have ability to cast their fire, direct attacks aren't much of a threat. Having a laughable apperance, a fierian may be easy to defeat in one-on-one combat, but when combined they form a nasty threat. Fierians, with all of their downfalls, are plenty in population. A group of ten may be easy to take, however, they possess the ability to seperate themselves into two. It's a troublesome fact, but it takes about all of two minutes for a group of five to turn into a group of eight, eight to sixteen, and so on. The catch being their flames grow less fierce as they continue to multiply, so sometimes it'll continue far enough for the copies to be useless. You have to have speed to fight a fierian, otherwise while you're giggling at the way they look, them and their clones may burn you to a crisp.
