You nerd. There's a beautiful school for you to enjoy and yet somehow you end up in the library. Ah well, at least the library is a beautiful place. With it's Victorian styled interior and spiraled staircase I can see how one would like to go there simply for it's looks. Then again, you probably realize that the library is where secrets are often hidden. Who said that the books and movies were simply being cliche when they had characters stumble upon a secret room in the library.

Two empty grey hues stared up at the large mahogany doors of the library, clutching four large bound books to her chest. People were scurrying about behind her in the hallway, and and she stood there mindlessly staring people started to gather behind her. Probably wanting access into the library, and she was blocking the way.

She opened the door very, very, slowly, causing the people behind her to shove slightly. She paid no attention to them though, "let them quarrel" she thought flatly. Finally when she peeked in, the person behind her push her. She tripped over her boot's shoelaces which were always coming undone, and fell to the floor books and all. Her expression never faltered, never showed any dislike for the people, and never showed any hurt.

No one helped her pick up her books, she didn't expect them to. So of course, she did it herself, got back up, and continued her exploration of the library's interior. The ceilings were tall, and the bookshelves nearly reached the very top. Thousands upon thousands of books surround her everywhere she looked. She almost thought she felt herself crack a small smile. Though her face had been fixed in one place for so long, she had no idea how to tel. for sure.

Curiously, she walked down each long isle, and scanned the cover of every book on both sides. This was heaven. Perhaps she wouldn't get as bored with the school as quickly as she thought she would. Turning another corner, she looked upon a spiraling staircase. Jackpot, there was another floor. Her pace quickened as excitement welled up inside her. In no time flat she was back to scanning the books. There seemed to be a large variety of reading material, including some that would never be a suitable subject to read where she was from. Things like dark magic, horrifying tales of murder and lust..

Picking on off the shelf, she sat down in a comfortable Victorian style chair. Quite content with herself, she started to flip through the pages, rubbing her fingers against each page. She paid close attention to the rough texture of the pages aganist her delicate hands, the book must be quite old.

Finally her eyes fell down on the words for the last time, her face following the path of words and text on the pages. There she would stay, for as long as time would allow her to.

Stalking the halls and following the scent of the woman he had glimpsed earlier the hunter was in search of his newest prey. The scent he was following was sweet, supple and alluring to him...his hormones on overdrive he knew he had to find the source of the smell that was driving him nuts.

The trail lead him to a place he had not even realized existed since he had come to the school. He was not interested in studying, so why would he go to the library of all places. The moment he saw the size of it he regretted not exploring it earlier. The smell of ancient texts and moldy books almost overpowered the smell of the girl he was following...any body else would have lost the scent by now but he was not going to give up just yet.

Transforming into a half wolf form he jumped on to the top of the book shelves and began to jump across each one following the faint scent of the girl he was stalking. From shelf to shelf he went looking at the people down below trying to track down his newest obsession.

Finally reaching a floor he had not noticed at first he realized it was empty with but one scent of a living being. He recognized what it was and began to move faster to get to his prize. He did not want to scare the lady he was planning to woo so he went back to his human form and simply walked to the source of his next girlfriend.

Reaching the chair that the smell and thus his female companion to be was he jumped over the chair flipped in the air and landed in front of her on all fours...but there was a problem. Instead of the scream he had expected, and usually got for appearing in front of a girl he got silence. The girl was just reading a book...a damn stupid book.

He was not going to be ignored for some stupid book...but past experiences told him that rude behavior would get him no where...especially with that one time...he shivered at the memory of it and brought himself back to the present.

"Hello dear one...who are you miss pretty lady. I am Randy...name and how I am feeling."
He licked his lips and winked at the girl while lowly using his hand to lower her book so she could see him. He was going to have some fun right now and this was the best time to see how far he could get.

The only time Grey even noticed the boy at all, was when he touched her book. Slowly she lifted her eyes to his face. Her ears were blocking our his voice, a habit from reading in too many noisy libraries, but her eyes were reading his lips. Grey pools stared back at him, her mouth drawn in a tight frown.

Her eyes and face held no expression, but her fingers twitched from underneath her book. She would have just gone back to reading, but he seemed a bit different than most people. Too confident, too arrogant, and definitely maybe a pervert. She set her book down softly in her lap, leaving it open at her page.

Slowly she brought her long sleeve to her mouth, and averted his gaze. " I smell..." Her voice was almost a whisper, a brilliant soft tinkle, like the coo of a dove, but no emotion was behind her words. " dogs.." She looked at him suspiciously, then bringing both of her small hands over her ears. " Noisy.." She muttered under her breath, just loud enough for someone standing very close to her to hear.

This was her way of telling someone to politely leave her alone. She didn't speak much, and when she did it was very brief and to the point. This boy was disturbing her reading, and she would have him leave somehow. With this she picked her book back up, deliberately making certain to cover her face so she couldn't see him.

Narrowing his eyes he now knew that this was going to be one hell of a challenge to get to get this girl to even acknowledge him...he did not mind the ones that played hard to get but this one was different it was as if she was not even aware of his intentions. He was going to have fun with this but first he needed a different approach.

He swiped the book from her and stepped back as he began to ruffle through it, now he knew she could not ignore him she he was going to start up a conversation. "So pretty lady...what are you reading here is it erotica?"

He knew it wasn't but he felt that some light teasing might get some sort of reaction from her even if it was anger. He did not like the people who held back emotions it was so useless to do that, especially in a school where emotions would run high.

"Well how about you answer, you should realize now that I am not going to leave you alone any time soon. I followed your scent here, and boy was it sweet."
As he spoke he sniffed the air to get her scent in, of course not realizing that his tail had popped out and was wagging quickly out of happiness.

Why on earth was this boy bothering with her, she was nothing interesting at all. She had no talents, no one even knew her name, and she barely even spoke! Why, out of all the people he could have tailed to the library, did it have to be her? As her precious book was snapped right out from under her nose, she reached for it pathetically. Her hands empty of reading material, she felt as if the boy had ripped a small hole in her heart. The only thing she enjoyed, the only thing she cherished in this living hell, he was trying to take it all away from her.

He even had the nerve to tease her about it! It wasn't erotica, it was Shakespeare for God's sake! There was a difference between mindless sex and true passion, right? Being an angel she still had the habit of following the rules, and instinctively scolded herself for using the lord's name in vain. Standing up out of her chair, she walked towards him reaching out desperately for her book. " Give it.." She said softly, her grey eyes hardening to show her anger where her face wouldn't allow her to.

For a moment she thought to herself how pitiful she must look, and immediately began to appear as if she had lost interest in the thing. Taking a step away from him, strands of hair fell into her face. She stared at the ground for a long time trying to piece together her jumbled thoughts and emotions, and finally came to an ultimate conclusion. She would just ignore him, and if he followed her, she'd get the teachers on him. Peaking out from the curtain of soft grey locks, she frowned. " Pervert."

With this she turned fast on her heels and bolted in an awkward run down the spiraling staircase. She planned to just find another book and continue reading, but if he refused to leave the library then she would just go read in the girl's bathroom. Whatever she had to do, she would somehow avoid the stupid meddling mutt. She would somehow have her peace to matter what she had do to get it, but she hoped if anything, she might be able to prolong her stay at the academy by avoiding a physical fight.

The moment she stood up he knew he had upset and offended her. He did not follow her right away, deciding to give her a head start. But he knew that he would give the book back as a kind gesture. He looked down at it and realized it was from that Shakespeare guy he had been forced to memorize as a kid. This gave him a great idea of how to get her attention.

He sprang after her, moving from shelf to shelf in oder to quickly over take her. This time he did land in front of her right away but as to not scare her he put his hands up right away after putting the book down at his feet."Here you go I am sorry, finish your book I just really wanted to know your name. Allow me to really introduce myself I am Randell Blackwood, at your service miss."

Bowing low to the girl he smiled at her sweetly and tried to make sure he was not looking like a creeper. Though he did decided to do one thing though. He leaned in and whispered into her ear, his British accent only adding to the effect of his words. "Did my heart love till now? Forswear it, sight! For I ne'er saw true beauty till this night."

Shoot, it seemed he was going to follow her after all, but sadly she was too late in realizing it. Before she could change course to get away, he had stealthily leaped in front of her, blocking her way. She started to reel her leg back to him him in the crotch if he tried anything funny, but instead of making another perverted remark he held his arms up in surrender. She lowered her guard for a single second, her heart pounding like a small bird's in her chest. At first she didn't believe him, and hesitated to pick up her book off the floor. Though, he kindly apologized, and even introduced himself. Perhaps he had manners afterall?

Then he did something she didn't quite expect from a person like him. He recited perfectly a line from Romeo and Juliet. Her face turned a bright pink, and her breathing quickened. To keep her emotions under control, she had to put her hands to her chest, clutching at her shirt. It was just like her wildest dreams, slightly cheesy and random to say, but romantic none the less.

Slowly but surly she crouched down next to the book, still looking up to keep an eye on him. Reaching her hand out towards the dusty book, her fingers twitched from her wired nerves. When her hand was firmly gripping it, she shot up quickly, jumping backwards a good three feet away from him. He had proven that he wasn't a rapist, but she still didn't trust him. Though, since he had tried to hard to make it up to her, she could give him a try.

"Good pilgrim, you do wrong your hand too much, Which mannerly devotion shows in this; For saints have hands that pilgrims' hands do touch, And palm to palm is holy palmers' kiss." Her voice was shaky, and some of her words were barely mumbled, but it was still a rarity to see her speak so formally. " Act I...Scene...5..Lines ninety seven through one hundred." She struggled to meet eye contact with him, as she squeezed at the end of her skirt. The blood was running to her face, and she struggled to try to keep her composure in the face of the young wolf boy.

Sadly though, he would not get her name. No need to, she would soon be forgotten anyway. If she could, she would save people the burden of longing for her. Bowing her head to him politely, she said nothing in hopes he wouldn't question her silence.

"Well I guess hearing you actually speak means I am making progress...still won't give me your name will you? Well is there anything I can call you? A nickname?" Not one to give up anytime soon he was not going to rest till he got her name. "So you know Romeo and Juliet too I see? Yeah I was forced to memorize a lot of his plays when I was a kid...damn tutor jabbed me with a piece of silver when I got it wrong. Though I don't think you were forced...you actually enjoy this stuff don't you?"

This was weird for him, he had never actually done the whole small talk thing with a girl. Usually by now he had asked them on a date and he would impress the girl there. This one was different, she was actually put off be his forward nature but he sure saw how she reacted to the simple act of reciting a dead guys poetry. "Look how about we go sit down. While it would be interesting to stand here and recite Romeo and Juliet I believe that the next lines, if I remember correctly would result in soliciting for a kiss, and that is just not my style."

He pointed to a corner where there were two isolated chairs in a place where they would not be bothered. He was going to it seemed just talk to his girl for now...his main goal being to get to know her name. "Look I promise I will do my best to be good. If I slip up you can...actually wait one second." He quickly bolted away to the front desk where he found what he was looking for. He grabbed the news paper and rolled it up springing back to the girl. "If I start acting like a bad dog feel free to hit me in the nose with this."

Grey stared at him helplessly. She didn't want a nickname, she didn't even want him to know her. What was the point? The only friends she had, the only advice that could be given to her, was all held within the books around her. She didn't need friends if she had them around, so yes, she was very found of them. Staring at the floor, she pulled the book closer to her chest, sheltering the precious item with all her might.

When he offered her a seat, she sheepishly went over and sat down, not knowing anything else she could do to escape from this situation. Everything was always a whole lot easier when people just bullied her. She didn't have to talk to them, and they would leave her alone afterwards. This boy was different, this boy was well, very weird. Maybe he thought she was pretty or something, and he really was just some horny school boy. Still, she found it somewhat flattering as her face stayed flushed a slight pink.

Then, embarrassing her further, he went to such lengths to prove himself as to fetch a newspaper for her to swat him with. She stared at him oddly, scared to reach out and take it. It made her look as if she was suspicious of him, which she was, but she wanted him to be comfortable with her. Even if she wasn't. Closing her eyes and taking a deep breathe, she reached out for the paper, but instead of keeping it rolled up she opened it up and began to read it. As she shook her head “no”, her hair fell elegantly over her shoulders. There would be no need for such items like that, just the gesture showed her that he didn't mean any harm at all.

Reaching out her hand, she did something a bit strange. Brushing her pale thin hand against his face, she moved it up to his head and stroked his hair gently. ” Good boy..”

Completely surprised at her gesture he for once was the silent one just letting himself get pet as he cooed. To him her touch was electric sending jolts all over his body. This was far better than any girl he had ever been with. She was actually gentle and kind to him, it was weird. He let this go on for a bit longer, really not wanting it to stop but if he was going to talk to her and get to know her he needed control of his senses.

Forcing himself to slowly move away his reluctance made it apparent that he had really enjoyed the petting. "Sorry Sweetie but I do not think it would be a good thing to continue that if you know what I mean..." He actually blushed at her and shivered a little realizing that he would not be able to woo this girl over the way he had others...the challenge would not only be fun but it might lead to other things for him.

"I should apologize for me behavior earlier, my wolf side takes over when I am with such a beautiful girl, and the fact that your scent is the best I have ever experienced does not help the matter. Now I will admit a lot of that was me. I will be the first to accept that I am indeed a pervy fellow but I have other aspects." He looked over at her not sure how she would react to his compliments. He was surprised that she was still pink in the face, he wondered if it was his doing or if she was just nervous and got that way around people.

Reluctantly she pulled her hand away from his head, her face going redder by the second. She hadn't meant for him to react quite like that, and his statement kind of scared and disturbed her. Folding her hands politely in her lap, she shifted in her seat, trying to focus on anything other than the pervy wolf boy. He truly was some sort of pervert/flirt maniac. The comments kept on coming and coming, until finally she really couldn't stand it any longer. It was making her terribly uncomfortable. She wasn't even that pretty at all! Her clothes were thrift, her hair was always the same, and she was just well plain. She didn't have any hobbies other than her love of music, and reading. Only thing was, even though she took tap, she sucked terribly, and it was nothing to be proud of. She just liked doing it.

Anyone can read a book, she just spent more time doing it than other people. There was no special talent in that. Quiet, clumsy, no talent, oddball, outcast, and plain. She was nothing to anyone! Why did he care? Tension building in her nerves, she finally pushed her feet against the ground enough to push the chair back a good two feet. Staring at him in confusion, she opened her mouth and mumbled something quietly. ” I-I'm..just..plain..” She looked terrified all of a sudden, and was trying to fight back tears that were burning at her eyes.

(( Well this post sucked majorly.. ))

Tilting his head to the side he looked the girl over and was confused. How could such a cute girl think of herself as plain? She had many good traits and her scent was irresistible. He sighed knowing that he had scared her and lost what little points he had made. "Look I am sorry if I said something inappropriate. I rarely think when I speak but I do speak the truth when I do. Look how about you please tell me about yourself then and let me make a choice about if you are plain or not."

He was not looking the girl in the eye as he spoke. His eyes were down, he was feeling bad that he had scared her. He also knew she was upset, he could smell the tears welling up and knew they were his fault. He stood up from his chair and slowly went over to her. from his back pocket he took out a handkerchief with his initials in it. If she did do anything he wanted her to have something to dry her tears. "Here...it is a gift please don't cry I do not wish to be responsible for making you shed tears. I am sorry."

Grey stared at him in disbelief, switching focuses from the handkerchief to his face. She wasn't sure whether to take it or not. He hadn't really done anything to offend her, she just wasn't used to getting so much attention. It was weird. Besides, she wasn't crying, not quite yet anyway. Though the more she thought about crying, the more she really felt like it. Social encounters, like the one she was having, were exactly the kind of thing that could tip her mental composure off the scale. There were so many things she could cry about but hadn't, now once they started she feared they really were not going to stop.

Finally the tears started pouring over, and she furiously wiped at her eyes trying to make them disappear. Tear after tear kept falling until she was silently sobbing. She sniffled, and sucked air so hard up her nose you'd think she was trying to suck away her very tears. She dropped her gaze to the floor, concealing her reddened face with her long grey hair. Suddenly off in the distance there was a voice calling out to someone. It echoed through the library, until Grey's head shot up. It had apparently gotten her attention.

" Grey, darling! Could you help me out? " Grey flew out of her chair, and slammed into the stair railing so hard someone would have guessed she had fallen over the side. Leaning over the side, looking down at the bottom floor, she frantically searched for the sound of the voice. " Yes ma'am!?" She shouted as loud as she could, but her voice was still too frail and shaken to be heard from very far away. Luckily the person that had been calling her name appeared from near the bottom of the staircase. " Oh, there you are! I wondered where you were hiding." A young red headed woman with glasses stood waving up at her with a bright smile on her face. " I have some more books for you to organize if you want. I also placed your blankets and clothes off in a secluded ar-"

Half way up the stairs the woman saw a dark haired boy standing not too far behind Grey. " Oh my, seems you've made a friend Grey?" Grey shook her head violently, running over to the woman's side.

The name her heard was not what he expected. It described her appearance but he did not think it could be a real name. He did not feel it fair to learn her name in this way so he made the decision to simple ignore that part. As the girl ran over to the red hair librarian he sighed seeing that the girl was still very much afraid of him. He did not step any closer since he wished not the scare Grey, as she was being called, so he kept his distance as he did a small bow to the woman in introduction. "Randell Blackwood ma'am. I do not think I would be seen as a friend to this lovely lady at the moment. I may be too forward for her, I am unfortunately not one that is used to interacting with shy persons. Though I do have an urge to get to know her better but I seem to be failing at each step I take. I guess what I am attempting to say is that I have become smitten but I do not for see my affections to be returned."

Blushing as he spoke in such a way to a complete stranger he left out the fact that he was perving a bit because he felt an adult would simply chastise him without knowing the full story. He also couldn't believe he had used such words to describe how he was feeling but when he through about it they made more sense than anything. He wasn't overtly lusting for this girl he was actually being friendly with her with his perverted nature just getting in the way repeatedly.
