Yeah, c'mon, you had to see this thread coming.
I don't expect much to come of it for now, since the game is a long way off (especially for us . . . well, anyone outside of Japan. ^^), but this'll be place to put news and whatnot. Talk about it, contemplate it. Ask what the hell is going on. . .

This is the little bit I posted in my LJ.
H'okay, so anyone who knows me well enough know's I'm bloody obsessed over Vincent Valentine and Gackt.
What does this have to do with anything you ask? Well, I'll tell you young padawan.
Gackt is not only doing two songs ("Redemption" the theme song and "Longing" an insert song) for Dirge of Cerberus (Vincent's game), but he's also a character in it!! *dances with joy* It's also not going to be just a traditional motion capture or anything like that, oh no my friends, why the hell would Squenix do something so simple? They're using a new technique of actually filming Gacchan, and then cging over top of him. Nomura-san has even designed a lovely outfit for him ^^

Okay, a bit more info since that LJ post was a while ago.
The character Gackt plays as is called "Project G" . . . for now at least. Anyone familiar with Final Fantasy VII should know that Zack and Cloud were "Project A", so yeah. . .
Looking at his outfit, it's got a lot of elements of Sephiroth's (as I pointed out before). The fact that it's red leads one to believe that he would be the "Crimson Soldier" mentioned in one of the trailers. My guess then is that this is one of the guys that Vincent is going to have to fight. . .

xd gackt has cornrows and ringlets!! haha, and his new single comes out on january 25th i believe.. the day before dirge of cerberus comes out. hm..yea..that's about all i know... ninja

I really want the game now... 3nodding I would've bought it anyway because I am a FF junkie and admirer of Vincent, but the fact that Gackt will be in it just sweetens the pot.

How much hotter can he get? my answer alot hotter. i knew he was in the game amd I was like i'm totally buying. But then I found out it was FF and i was like screw money for my b-day I want that game and Advent Childern. But I believe they will both be out sometime around my bd it is January 12.

Last I looked they bushed back the american releave date of advent childern to sometime in April (yey for downloading!) and I dont evpect to see this game on US shelves untill aleast 6 or 7 months after its Japanese releace

People from LJ are sending letters to SquareEnix to tell them NOT to dub over Gackt for the american release. I had the address and than I lost it heh but I'll find it if you wanna help out.

Gackt could always dub over his own voice. I heard that Jet Li did the English voiceover for himself in his movies.
I found the mp3 of "Redemption" and I really like it. ^_^
