There are certain techniques which always cause a lot of controversy, so before that has a chance to happen, I'm going to post rulings for the main ones I've seen in WoTS and SC.

Jutsu Sho (Technique Cancel)
in order to keep this technique from being overused, I am imposing these rules:
without a doujutsu to detect chakra, or without knowing what the hand-signs your opponents make will do, it's impossible to use the correct amount of chakra to cancel most jutsu, unless they put in more chakra and end up wasting some. since most jutsu, unlike impure world resurrection, happen instantly... so even though jutsu sho is capable of canceling jutsu by exerting an equal amount of chakra, usually you will end up using more chakra than your opponent used for the technique that is being canceled.
------------- A note from Sheek: Basically, if you know a technique, and you know your opponent is about to use that technique, then it would be plausible to use Jutsu Sho, otherwise you're wasting your time, effort and possibly a lot of chakra, depending on the rank of the technique you're trying to cancel.
Temporary paralysis technique
In the real naruto for this technique the user must simply make the handsigns and can paralyze multiple opponents. Since this is obviously godmodding in this guild we require physical contact to use this technique. (this technique is not treated as the same technique as Orochimaru's death foreseeing technique in this guild.)
Substitution and body flicker
When using the Substitution Technique, you must perform three hand seals for the technique to activate. As for Body Flicker, you can only use it once every two posts, unless it's simply for getting somewhere and you're not in an RP battle. Also keep in mind that using Body Flicker takes chakra, so if a Gennin uses it ten times during a fight, they'll only have roughly 20% chakra left.
Because people seem to ignore the details of Shunshin when they use it. We are implementing a rule which requires a single handseal for Shunshin and the traditional smoke/whatever to cover up the movements, otherwise the direction can be traced. The old one-Shunshin-every-two-posts rule would still be in effect to avoid cheapness.
Chidori
Chidori is a non-elemental technique. It merely looks like lightning. Raikiri is a Chidori that has had elemental chakra added to it.
