Oo, sorry to hear that. We only have 1 DM. It's not that hard to follow one guy, especially if you know the music really well. Hope you guys do ok with out the DM.

I don't know what would happen. I think, first, the BD would murder whoever quit. We have three DMs, though, so we wouldn't die.

We have a drum major and an "Assistant Drum Major"... basically a spiffy title for "Drum Major in Training". If one of them quit, I don't know what we'd do. Our band is already falling apart at the seams... a DM quitting would just rip everything apart.

We have only 1 DM this year, and if she quit, hte entire band and everyone associated with it would die, but not after first killing her.

yea our band heavily depends on having 2 drum majors and only having one...
well if they completely mess up and its a total disaster ill have a big laugh and it will be a nice little gift for the end of the marching band season...XD

yeah our whole entire band would be really pissed off if anyone of our three drum majors quit. not to mention our directors. but lucky that has never ever happened. cause being in marching band is a commitment.

(im in tigerish's guard) it really sucks because megan actually acknowledges me. i'll be walking down the hall and she'll randomly wave at me. im like ".....*waves back*" shes really sweet.....my drummajor for the first song. she actually jumped off of her podium and helped me figure out where to pass through for the 2nd song.
our band NEEDS three drum majors, but since the size of our field has decreased because of size, we can only have two.....but the people in the middle are still having a really awful time watching them.
theres this part of rhapsody in blue where the whole band condenses into a small box and drifts down the field....they have to watch megan, and with megan not there, its going to be hard, even if they move holly (the other DM) to the center.
hopefully she comes back. i could have sworn i saw her coming out of jazz band, but i think another teacher teaches that....a teacher she doesnt have beef with. gonk

Mmm. Glad you had a DM to fall back on. Our band has one, so if that happened, the instructors would have to hold tryouts again.

We've -never- had a drum major quit, but we've had three people quit right before championships last year. Seriously, like, two days before.
Our drum majors le the power get to their heads, though.... sweatdrop
