You could do anything short of summoning vines from the ground. To grab a hold of a persons foot. Before most people would actually believe in such things. To do so should be preceded with an expectation of resistance of the notion.

that is a difficult subject, for the thing is, once you tell one person you can never un-tell them, unless u can do a memory loss spell.

No. The ability and gifts of magik and power should be with held information. Because it can be both a blessing and a curse. Plus think of it this way. You get an enemy. It wouldn't do to have everyone and their mother to know your strength and your weaknesses.
Yes I think of things in terms of usability, and of the possible danger involved with practicing.

It's a matter of just leaving that little detail out. Besides safety is always far more important than ones pride in their ability and sense of self. I'd rather be an alive me, or me without bindings. Than a me everyone knows about.

Either way, I wouldn't even flinch at the thought. I have a personal catch phrase that I always say to my friends when something either involves me or might get me involved.
"Whatever happens, happens. Just take advantage of the moment."
Meaning, I won't try to hide it but I also feel no obligation to tell anyone. So if they find out, they just find out and I'll keep going on with my life.
