The DARKNRGY Report

From the Desk of LabTechMK

The G-Virus, Mixed with the proper amount of
Zurg Energy, creates the unstable Mutagen known
as "DARKNRGY". Those infected by this mix of
Gaian and Zurg Technology, often exhibit qualities
similar to that of the living dead and have an
uncontrollabe urge to seek power and destruction.
Feelings in the infected are generally amplified
tenfold, and anything that even held a hint of
hatred ends up becoming the very drive for survival.

LIGHTNRGY, unlike It's Polar opposite DARKNRGY,
is not created with the use of Zurg Energy. It is
instead formed when 2 entities are fused with the
"Perfect" G-Virus, and one of said entities is at
least half dead. The sacrifice of the healthy
being is taken into account on a higher level,
and the infected becomes a partially ascended being.
They become a single entity, that is very hard to
seperate, as death remains a part of it's very being.
Feelings of Love, happiness, and the will to survive,
along with the drive to defend others, is what keeps
these beings going, and gives them the powers they hold.
Should they ever become taken over with anger, and sadness,
however, they can in rare cases change over to DARKNRGY,
and they will split from the person they first fused with.

Infection has currently spread to the following:

Sennin Koth - The original Host of DARKNRGY created by MK.
[G Corp] Menace - First victim beyond Koth. Massive dosage.
Comrade87 - The last living infected, bitten by Koth.

LabTechMK - The original host of LIGHTNRGY, caused by Raven's Fusion.
Elfsneef - MK shown his love for her, and in the middle of a time distortion,
she received and accepted the infection from him.

Powers

DARK -
Stage 1~
Dark Focus - The infected can focus pure beams of energy from thier strongest
appendage, and obliterate most anything it connects with. Damage delievered
is based upon the energy put into the attack.

Stage 2~
Phase Shift - Can shift their entire being in and out of phase.
This places them partially on a seperate plane of existence for a short while,
allowing them to move through solid objects, and appear as a mist or aparition.
Later stages of the infection provide longer shift times, and less energy usage.

Stage 3~
Minion puppetry - The user can command the undead.
They can also regain their health by consuming the dead.

Stage 4~
Plague of shadows - With greater focus, those of the darkness can command the shadows,
and turn them into lesser demons.

Stage 5~
Demonic Presence - Those who make it to Level 5, hardly have a trace of their old self.
They have the ability to form as darkness, and use their first 3 powers with little
or no energy usage. All that remains is a hollowed body, and few traces of their
memories, mostly involving negative emotion. They are rage embodied, and fight to
destroy everything of the light, or otherwise in their path.


LIGHT -
Stage 1 ~
Light Focus - The infected has the ability to create pure beams of energy
from within, and annihilate most anything that is unpure. Damage dealt
is relative to energy used in the attack.

Stage 2~
Teleportation - Can disapear and reappear in any place that the infected
has previously been to. Later stages of the infection provide greater
accuracy, and less energy usage.

Stage 3~
Angelic Page - The user may summon and control beings of light.

Stage 4~
Solar Medic - With a good deal of focus, those of the light can harness the power
and energies of the sun, and use it at any given time to heal themselves or others.

Stage 5~
Divine Transformation - Those who are of Level 5, have ascended to a higher plane
of existence. They maintain not only what they knew in life, but they also become
omniscent, and fueled to rid of the darkness in the world. Love and compassion are
2 of the greateset drives, and they will save as many lives as they can. Most powers
cost very little of their own energy, and they can freely share it with one another.


The host for either Virus (The original infected) Can start at any stage, depending
on the concentration of the secondary biological ingredients in said virus.
Those infected by the host, generally mutate themselves to the stage below that
of the host, but in lesser cases, can be even lower stages, all dependent on how
the infection was spread to them. Those infected by the infected who were not the
original host often inhibit greater weaknesses, as the degeneration in the virual
strand rises from infection to infection. In cases of mass infection, you are generally
left with A high number of stage 1 victims, who can not focus well enough to do any
real damage. It is more or less, at that point, just concentrated rage/happiness in the victim.

If the host of both viruses were to infect a being in the same instance, there
is no telling what effects this may have, or what result would be produced.
In theory, this victim would have the powers of both LIGHT and DARK, and would be
at combined Stage 10. Such an existence would be considered a God of sorts by comparison.

There are a combination of items that appear to influence the powers of LIGHT and DARK.
While this is not a complete list, it is best to know as much as you can. Items of
a matched alignment may empower the user, while Items of the opposite may weaken them.
