Age: 17 Interests/Hobbies: physical science, various studio art, creative writing What I expect to achieve from being here: enlightenment My philosophy: Well, I always believe in science, not religion. I believe in many religious morals, but I base most things on science and sometimes random superstition. I'm always trying to solve the universe, but it never seems to work. Pet peeves: references to "Twilight", and people using bad grammar. (note: I will probably go around correcting your grammar via the 'edit' option. Yeah, I can do that.) Things you should know about me: I can be stupid sometimes, even though I believe myself to be very smart. You'll catch me on many occasions saying things I think are true, but I only fact-check things I say about half the time. Also, I take depression medication and you can often tell when I don't take it. Interests/Hobbies: Discussions, lurking and reading other people's thoughts. Also RPing, computer games and getting lost on the internet til the early hours of the morning
What I expect to achieve from being here: Not sure.
My philosophy: Science overrules superstition. Some more specif ideals concerning morality and such also, but I'm not going to state it all here.
Pet Peeves: When I can tell someone is speaking english yet still can't understand what the hell they are saying.
Things you should know about me: I will probably end up lurking and reading more the posting.

Interests/Hobbies: Making stupid (and religious) people angry, drawing, creative writing, making polymer clay jewelry, and, y'know... readin'.
What I expect to achieve from being here: Enlightenment on the subject of pumpkins.
My philosophy: Don't kick a man while he's down, because when he gets up he will freaking KILL you.
Pet Peeves: Religion, stupidity, bad grammar, misuse of the word "random", and whenever someone does not use a comma between the last two subjects in a list.
Things you should know about me: I'm cynical and I never admit to being wrong. Trust me, you do NOT want to make me mad.
Also, I am Jerba's sister and I take the same medication as she does. If she didn't take her medicine, chances are I didn't take mine either.

What I expect to achieve from being here: a mild break from the inanity of the Sci&Tech forum.
My philosophy: I try not to have beliefs, because if college taught me one thing it's that all philosophies have epistemological holes in them.
Pet peeves: People who confuse "hearing about" and "knowing about".
Things you should know about me: I haven't really learned how to talk to people who say things that are wrong without sounding condescending. I'm working on it but I have a ways to go so please bear with me if it sounds like I'm dismissing you.

My philosophy: I am very strong in my religion (I'm L.D.S. aka Mormon) I also believe that science can only go so far then that's where faith steps in
Pet peeves: bad grammar, judgmental and two faced people... the list goes on, but I won't bore every one with it
Things you should know about me: I'm not afraid to speak my mind and I'm a passionate individual. I'm generally easy to get along with, but most of the time people tend to get the wrong impression of me or they judge me too quickly

Interests/Hobbies: Music and games are my only constant interests. Everything else changes from week to week.
What I expect to achieve from being here: Find some new interests, meet new people, see new points of view.
My philosophy: I'm mostly I scientific person, but I consider myself agnostic because there are things, at least at this point, that have yet to completely be explained scientifically.
Pet Peeves: A thousand pieces of paper wouldn't have enough room to list all the things that irritate me about people.
Things you should know about me: I'm crazy for a good debate, but I hate starting them. I respect everyone's beliefs, as long as they don't push them on me, or try to tell me that their beliefs say I'm wrong.
