Ok so for everyone who's read the books what do you all think will happen in book 10? Or what would you like to see happen in book 10?
PostPosted: Sun May 17, 2009 9:24 am

1. Sookie will go to work.
2. She will flirt with Sam, or the other way around.
3. Some incident happens and she gets pulled into it.
4. She has random sex with (Insert random supernatural guy here).
5. Bill loves her.
6. Eric loves her.
7. All the spe guys love her.
8. Her brother does something stupid.
9. Sookie gets attacked a million times.
10. Sookie gets mad at one or more of her guy friends, even when they make a good point or are right.
11. Sookie either saves the day or someone saves her.
12. She reflects on what has happened.
13. Ends the book with people wanting more.

Okay, other than the obvious....

I don't imagine that Sookie will be the same as she has been in the other books. No one walks away from being tortured unscathed. Depending on when the book picks up I'm sure there will be some healing time for Sook, both physical and mental. Hopefully Eric will be there to help her out.

There will probably be more s**t with Arlene since we had the incident with her in D&G. I hope we see something with the kids, just so we know how they feel about their Aunt Sookie.

Charlaine has said that book 10 will be much more light hearted compared to book 9. So I don't imagine there will be much fighting or anything going on with the supernatural world. Everyone is out now and while we might hear about how the world is coping with weres and shifters but I don't think there is going to be anything major happening on Sookie's end. She's just got too much to deal with.

And seeing more of the Sookie/Eric relationship developing. I can imagine that there will be a talk or two between Sookie and Bill as well. While I don't think they are going to be getting back together I think now she'll be ready to forgive him and they can start working on a new relationship as friends.

Extended points:

14. Sookie tyalks about her grandma.
15. Sookie mentions her dead supe friends -MAYBE- while ignoring her dead human friends.
16. Men are portrayed as jerks.
17. Sookie's relationships with others change.
18. Sookie directly or indirectly kills.
19. OH SHI-

Wow. Now that I think of it, Sookie Stackhouse is a lot like Harper Conelly.

Jack, do you actually have anything appropriate to add to this conversation? If not then I suggest going elsewhere.

I'm still in a stupor over D&G. I'm left gaping going "Ok, now what? What's left?"
I'm really hoping that book 10 will not be (but knowing it will come down to) a struggle between Bill and Eric for Sookie's affection.
(with the possible Tiger thrown in, but Sookie is pretty much done with that)
I mean, aside from Hunter, that's really all that's left at the moment.

It's also possible there will be more FBI trying to squeeze information about Barry out of Sookie or trying to pressure her onto the payroll, but it's not worthy of an entire book.

I'm hoping for some more action and information with the new King.
I'm curious to see how the vampires have repopulated and settled into a new regime.

Ooo, I had completely forgotten about the FBI thing.

They are going to have to get them off of Sookie's trail somehow. The vampires can't just glamor the agents because then they would just send more agents and would want to know what Sookie was hiding. Something is going to have to be figured out.

It makes me wonder how hard Sookie is going to want to fight now to get her life back.

I think Sookie lost control over her own life way back in Dead Until Dark.

I think Sookie lost control over her own life way back in Dead Until Dark.

She could have regained in the beginning of book 4, but chose/decided not to.

Face it, she wasn't forced to date Bill, or take in Eric, or go undercover with Alide (I think? I forgot...), or go out with Quinn, or work with the Queen, or....

The point is, she isn't totally out of control of her actions.

Actually she had no choice to work with the queen. The queen heard of her and sent Bill to bring her back anyway he could, if you recall in the books so I think she didn't have any choices at all. Sophie Anne knew a lot about her and would do anything to get her since she "dated" her cousin.

Book 10 is being released in October!!!!
PostPosted: Sun Jun 14, 2009 10:01 pm

Actually that isn't book ten. That is the collection of short stories that Charlaine Harris has published that take place during the series. I think there are four or five of them that have been published in books with short stories by other authors.

I see now like the birthday party one. I wonder if the tv tie ins are written like the show or just a different cover?

AWWWW man #10 isn't scheduled until May of 2010. What a bummer. I will have forgotten everything that happened by then.

Meh, just read up and research occasionally. Besides, Sookie just recaps most of what went on in all the previous books near the beginning like always.

I think if you're on book 9, Sookie, we already know that vampires came out of the coffin already.
