The process seems very very complicated. To the point that you need a degree in whatever the ******** it is all these DVD ripping programs do.
I used DVD decrypter and then Auto Gordian Knot but now I've got a bunch of random files that I'm sure work together quite well after I've burned to a CD or something but don't mean jack s**t to my PSP. How do I make it all into a single .avi file so I can convert it? Am I barking up the wrong tree? What do I need to actually do this?

Edit:
You're too late.
I win.
This is how you do it.
You'll need to rip the DVD first though. The program for that is called DVD Decrypter.
All of this is free.
I put Azumanga Daioh the first Sports Festivle episode on my PSP from the DVD. biggrin

I get the feeling no one here can quite grasp exactly what I'm getting at.
I have gone from DVD to PSP without paying anything.
Clear?

cool.....just wondering, do you need some type of DVD drive thing, so your computer can read DVDs? If so, do you need one to get DVD files onto your computer?

Absolutely. A DVD drive is in fact required to run a DVD. DVD Decrypter will take the DVD format files from the DVD and put them on your computer so Flask MPEG can convert them to a legible format. You could put it straight into the MPEG-4 format and onto the PSP but the use of Flask MPEG is complicated and it would actually be easier to just convert to .avi then use PSP Video 9 to convert from there.

Unless I've been doing something wrong with PSPVideo9, it doesn't accept .AVI files.

EDIT: Also, You could just rip the .vob files and let PSVideo9 convert them to .MP4 files, Makes things alot easier.

More Also, That document you linked to, the program it talks about refuses to work on my PC. Ah well, Thankfully I didn't have to install anything.
