They're testing:
Shaymin-S Garchomp Latios Manaphy Latias Deoxys-S
all at the same time for OU. I don't understand what they hope to prove or accomplish with this. Has anyone been following it?

There's a reason Chomp got banned (and Deoxys-S got rebanned) in the first place. I can see why Manaphy, Shaymin-S, Latios, and Latias deserve to be uber, too... I don't know what they hope to accomplish with this. Well, I do, but I don't think it'll work the way the proponents of this test planned.
(Hey guys, let's all make teams consisting entirely of Latias, Latios, Manaphy, Garchomp, Shaymin-S, and Deoxys-S!!!1!)

I could understand maybe testing 1 or 2 of these pokemon (3 would be pushing it), in the changes which the Platinum environment gives to the competitive field... but I get the aching feeling that the planners behind this are more along the lines of trying to disrupt the meta-game despite the good intentions of the tests. =_=

I'm surprised they didn't throw in Deoxys-D, Mew, and Wobbufette since those are kind of on the border too according to some people.
Also it does make sense to test a bunch of them at the same time. When you only have one or two overpowered pokemon from that list, every team will have them. The intention is probably that if these pokemon are all allowed, they'll counter them. The problem with this logic is that people will still be using them to counter one another...
