First off, thanks for the invite! =)

I'm glad that it seems that this is a fairly constructive guild. Of course everyone loves to hear that people like their work, but it's nice to get real feedback too =)
I guess I'll post some of my work too, since I just joined.

I have to say, I like your avatar art style. It's very classy. :]

As for the school assigned drawings, I have to say I like the one with the big paw best. Did you use pointelism on it?

I know I don't have a traditional anime/managa like style as the site mostly goes on (ironic cause that was pretty much all I grew up with) but I'm glad you still appreciate it =)

heh heh lucky, you can make things up well. I'm still in the reference mode right now so I can only draw things with a picture in front of me, but I am not that good still. LOL here are some examples though so tell me what you think.

Your work is looking pretty good. It's kind of tough making some of them out, I assume the scans really ligthen up the pencils on ya (used to do that to me all the time >.<). Your character designs look really interesting and I like the tackle at background! (I try avoiding backgrounds if I can xP)
But I still reference things all the time. Like for the ghost rider comic page I referenced to a volume of New Avengers for the other heros and The pencil sketch I referenced to a picture of Luke Gross for his face. Though the rest I did make up from the top of my head, but even recently I was working on a picture where I needed to reference women for the form.
Even the best artist use reference, it's the best weapon when drawing =)

The tribal tattoo? I used to doodle out a lot of those designs years ago, not really as much now, but I still like playing around with them from time to time, more as a design that's part of a bigger picture =)

I see. I used to draw em too. But didn't really had a goal.
It's cuz i was bored, so i started drawing random and then sometimes it looks like it's turning into something and then draw toward that something
